I cannot say enough great things about Blue Life - they are the best, highly highly recommend!!! I reached out to them after they came recommended from local dive friends. I was planning a trip to Tulum primarily to dive in the cenotes. I was a bit nervous as I can get anxiety in small spaces, however I had heard such great things and that combined with my need for new adventure got me interested. Right away the communication with Gaby and the rest of the shop helped me feel more comfortable, she was very responsive and answered all my questions. That continued throughout the trip as my plans changed and I wanted to add another dive day, Gaby made it happen so I was able to also get in the ocean! Then there's the amazing dive guides, Keke knows Cozumel so well and made my experience one of a kind. I spent the most time with Thomas in the cenotes, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide! My nerves and anxiety melted away, I felt so safe and comfortable knowing he was there. Yes the cenotes are beyond beautiful, but what struck me the most was how chill and still it was, and I know some of that was possible through Thomas' leadership. He was a wealth of knowledge and was happy to share it with me which I so appreciate as I continue to learn and grow as a diver. As I make future plans to dive in the area, Blue Life will be my go to dive shop.

A terrific dive shop located within Playa (has additional locations in Tulum and Cozumel as well! not sure about Cancun). We did multiple excursions with this dive shop and they were all spectacular! We did two cenote dives (dos ojos and the pit which I highly recommend!), the whale shark excursion (which I also highly recommend!) as well as the Cozumel reef dive. All excursions were absolutely wonderful, the staff was extremely friendly and professional, and our experience was priceless. There was some weather issues with the whale sharks, so they worked with our schedule to get some time on the calendar to make it happen, which that day was absolutely perfect. We also had to reschedule something and they were extremely accommodating for us, which they technically didn't have to, but made our life so much easier as well as enhanced our experience. The people that are actually working at the shop (Carolina and Morris) are extremely nice people and make you smile because of their wonderful attitude. Super contagious. They are also extremely responsive if you need anything at all via phone or whatsapp. If you are looking for a dive shop in this area, look no further. Reach out to this company. They are very good people and you will be taken care of!!

Hugo from Blue Life keeping an eye on us... Super great Dive Master..

First time scuba diving in Playa del Carmen, my friend booked 4 dives with Blue Life... Best decision she made.. Our Dive Master was Hugo, He was fantastic!!!!! He was very thorough and we felt completely safe with him. It's important that we feel comfortable with our DM... And we were with Hugo.. A big 5 stars for him.. We made a wreak dive, a few wall dives it was great. If you're diving in Playa Del Carmen you really must dive with this dive shop... We'll be back next year and will definitely dive with Blue Life!!!

Had two great dives with Pierre. I hadn't dove since pre-COVID but he got me quickly up to speed and led a great dive.

The sea was choppy this day but we felt very safe and tucked in on the boat for our 45 min ride to Cozumel.

The numerous times that I was at Playa del Carmen, I was diving with Tank-Ha. I am truly pleased to see that they are in business still and from the ratings, are obviously doing a great job. When I was diving, I went to several cenote dives with them and a videographer named Steve from California. He was employed with Tank ha, or at least served their clientele on an exclusive basis. He and I got to be very good friends. I don't know if he is still there, or if he is still even in Mexico, he was about my age. Happened to recently find some of the old VHS tapes that I got when I went diving with Steve through Tank ha. After a dive day, he would take a few of us to his house, serve us beer and popcorn, and show us that days diving videos which we obviously purchased. When I ran across these the other day, they brought back some really great memories and I cannot imagine that the dive shop has done anything but improve. They were the greatest then and I'm sure they're even better now.

We spent a week in Playa Del Carmen during Spring Break 2021, and I wanted to get my Advanced Open…read moreWater SCUBA Certification. Dune Mexico Blue Dream was the perfect shop for me. Overall (TLDR): Small Scuba shop in Playa with some very nice staff and instructors who worked around my vacation schedule to accommodate me getting my AOW while still finding interesting enough dives that my fiance (who already has her AOW) could dive with us and not be bored. They took us on short notice and dealt seamlessly with Cozumel closing unexpectedly when we were supposed to dive there. Overall great service and learning for me at a reasonable price. They are my go to dive shop in Playa. The Story: I booked a week at an all inclusive resort in Maroma for the week of spring break and was playing with the idea of finally getting my AOW certification so that I could do some of the more challenging dives I hadn't had access to with just an Open Water certificate. I did a little research and most of the shops down there had few reviews and not a lot of information available. I ran across Mexico Blue Dream, and their website was helpful and gave me hope. I emailed a month before the trip and they responded quickly. Up until the time when we were about to leave, I was still debating taking time away from an all inclusive resort to get the Advanced cert. I called them the day before we were supposed to arrive, after about two weeks of hemming and hawing, and they fit us in. They arranged a two day dive schedule with 4 dives in Playa and then 3 dives in Cozumel. When we arrived at our hotel, we had trouble contacting the dive shop because evidently the phones around the shop went completely out, but luckily Camille emailed me with his personal cell number and everything worked out just fine. The shop itself isn't the easiest place to find as the address helps you find the block, but the address itself is not well marked on any of the buildings in the area. Best advice I can give you is to look for the big yellow door! We met Damien, our instructor/dive master who has to be one of the most kind and even keeled people around. He was patient in explaining what we were going to do and what we needed to achieve for the certification process. Our first dive was a wreck dive with tight quarters and some decent marine life to watch. I always felt at ease with Damien as he was attentive, without being overbearing, and adaptive to our skill levels throughout our dives. Our second dive was a drift dive and the third was about navigation and maneuvering underwater. I always felt comfortable and secure with Damien. Such a great instructor and person overall. The second day we were supposed to go to Cozumel, but when returned from our first day, we found out they closed docks due to high seas. We transitioned to diving some Cenotes instead for our second day, and those went off without a hitch just like the previous day. The view from the Cenote called "the Pit" was one of the more remarkable geologic formations I have experienced. The Good: Good prices. Great staff who was thorough and responsive. Cute little facility with everything we needed despite not being a large storefront/retail location. They knew their stuff and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Camille was helpful in the office making all the arrangements, and I couldn't have asked for a more zen and knowledgeable instructor than Damien. The Bad: Nothing. The Mediocre: finding the place the first time was a little nerve-wracking because I'm very type A when it comes to being on time, but it worked out just fine.

One day in Cozumel and one in Playa. It was a great experience. The staff is so professional and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. There were no hidden fees and no surprises, and the location is perfect. We had small groups both days. The second day there were only four divers and an instructor, Dana. We had a really good time and will be coming back soon. If you're booking online and are a little nervous about the unknown, rest assured you will be taken care of by Dive Mike.

And that's not even a guarantee, I just think I could. I really enjoyed our first experience scuba diving in Playa Del Carmen. There were 4 of us with the instructor so it was a good size to teach and learn. I didn't feel too nervous. First they take you to a pool about 5-6 feet deep and teach you the basics which was needed for a beginner. It was my fiancé, myself and another older couple from Sweden. After an hour or 2 of practice in the pool, we got a lunch break and came back for the actual dives. We had 2 dives abt 30ish mins each and both were great. The first dive felt like a trial run so it was a little terrifying. The couple and my fiancé felt sick after so they skipped on the second dive and I got to dive with the instructors. So fun! The instructor Caro (I think that's her name) was very knowledgeable and fun. She was very thorough and made me feel comfortable. I loved the second dive because it was just me and the pros. Pretty cool. There wasn't much to see underwater which was kind of a bummer but nonetheless, still a great experience. The worst part for me was walking from the shore to the boat. There were tons of rocks that make it a very painful walk and the current was pretty strong. I recommend investing in some water shoes. Regardless, I had tons of fun and would totally do it again. For a little over $100 dollars, this was a great deal.
