Booked through Trip Advisor (recommended). Some others on our trip booked with their hotel and were uninformed on additional pricing. They emailed us about a week prior to our tour date with logistics and we had a 7:45 am call time. We had to call at 7:50 to make sure we didn't miss our bus and they insured us 10 more minutes. Sure enough, a van pull up about 5 minutes later with another couple in the van. We picked up one additional couple and was then off to our meeting point. The drive is about an hour long and we stopped at their "hub" like meeting point since our driver was not our tour guide for the day. They offered restrooms, coffee, seating (hammocks and benches), and a foosball table. About 5-10 minutes later Amet Garcia called us to join his tour. Amet explains our schedule for the day as well as passes out wristbands for Tulum. Of we go to Tulum Archaeological Zone (20-minute ride). We were greeted by another gentleman who is our tour guide for the site. He gave around an hour tour and then let us explore and take pictures for an additional hour. In the provided wristbands was a bus ride from the parking lot to the site. Would recommend that you give yourself around 20 minutes to make it from the Archaeological Zone to the parking lot. It's about .5 miles. The bus will wait until it's more full to take off. You also have the option to walk. We then proceeded back north to the Aventuras Mayas campsite. Amet was great and took us on a roller coaster ride in the van with "Welcome to the Jungle" playing as we drove through the rough terrain with speed. They gave us lockers to store our stuff while we were there for the rest of the excursion. Lunch consisted of roasted chicken and pork, rice, beans, mashed potatoes, and a mini salad bar. The food alone was 5 stars! The ATVs we're amazing. This was our 5th time ATVing and we never experienced a trail like this. ATVs are fully automatic with an available hand break for all 4 wheels. Honey and I chose the single rider option but there was an option for doubles. The ATV insurance is an extra $15 USD per ATV or $25 USD for 1 ATV with 2 drivers. You must be at least 16 to drive and 8 to ride as a passenger. Would recommend purchasing insurance as our ATVs scrapped a few times on the rough terrain. When we finished with the ATVs we went back to change to get in the cenote. Would recommend water shoes as the walk there and back is gravel and there are some sharp rocks in the cenote. They provided mini snorkel gear and a small life vest for advanced swimmers or a larger "floating" life jacket for beginners or inexperienced swimmers. Advanced swimmers can use their snorkel gear to view more of the cave that is underwater. Amet was a great guide taking us through the cenote and explaining the history and type of rocks. You have to watch your feet and head in these things the rocks creep up on you. The tour was short ( ~10 minutes) and you will have a limited time to swim and explore the cenote yourself. We changed clothes in their changing stations and went and looked at our pictures. Pictures are 2 for 25 or they email you the whole album for $45 within 24 hours of purchase. The album consisted of 20+ pictures therefore we opted for that whole album option. From there we were bussed back to our respective hotels. Overall would recommend. They do kind of rush you by giving you only 5 minutes to change or switch activities.

Wanted to do an excursion that was half a day and included ATVs. We came across Adventuras Mayas -Glad we did. The company offers different sorts or excursion, whether it be to Tulum, Cenotes, ATV, Snorkeling etc.. you get to choose which one. We chose to do half a day which was the ATV and Cenote. The entire excursion lasted about 3.5 hours which was good- We did not want to be out all day as it is very exhausting doing an all day excursion lol. We were picked up at 10 and came back a little after 1. Our tour guide Christian was awesome! Our group was small (4 people) in a good way as it felt like we were given a private tour. They normally get larger groups (15+ people). I've never rode an ATV before so I was quite nervous as I was afraid of driving into the trees and getting abducted by Mayans (lol). Anywho, Christian made sure everyone was close together and his instructions were very clear. There will be another team member behind you if you are last to make sure you don't get lost. Once you're done with the ATV, lunch is provided. There was a decent selection but nothing to rave off of. The cenote was quite large. You must rinse yourself in the shower to take off the sunscreen/ products off your body before entering the cenote as there are fishes in there. Life jackets are also provided. There are zip lines that drop you off to the cenote. I personally did not use it as I'm terrified of height. Overall I would definitely recommend this excursion.

ATV WAS FUN. LOTS OF MUD!

Awesome place for an adrenaline packed day of activities. We went all out and bought the best package which was still inexpensive. Cenote, zip lining, ATV and another Cenote with zip lines and plat forms to jump from. I'd have to say outside the millions mosquitoes I had a ball. Got all muddy with the wife on the ATVS and soared above the jungle canopy through 7 zip lines towers that were connected. My favorite was zipping upside down over 1000ft. Cortez was great! Even found my iPhone 11 when I dropped it going crazy on the ATV course. Ask for Cortez when reserving. Please tip these workers. They make about 10-20 bucks a day and only survive off the tips. Don't be cheap folks!

Out dated beat up van. Stuffed with 14 people . Hardly any ac !!!! Rude driver . Zero shocks car was like riding on the ground . Was the worst 2 hours there and back . Felt like a prisoner . Never ever again ! ! For what that cost my family ... should of been way better and more organized !!!! Horrible !!!! Do not use this company !!!!

We got hooked up from our hotel to do a getaway from relaxation, lol. And ended up spending the whole day with Adventuras Mayas and the Tulum/ATV/cenote tour. In the morning hours, we settled into Tulum, and our tourguide showed us through the ruins and kept the jokes to a minimum. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyed having our group participate in his historic explanation of things. Naturally he was funny so that also made for an entertaining time! The only thing I regret is remembering his name. As for the ruins, totally awesome! Even though it was tourist heavy, we made the best of it with the cool breeze, iguanas, and scenic blue ocean. Later in the afternoon, we transferred to do the ATV ride and some cenote snorkeling. YEAH! The temp was in the high 70s, but the forest trees gave us protection. And I gotta give it up to these guys for being patient with us demanding tourists. Our guide was Vicktor who explained all the rules and we were almost on our way. I didn't expect the insurance for the ATV ride, but believe me you'll wanna add it for that $30 (approx) per rider price. I'd say we probably drove about 5 miles through the trails. Maybe about 3 miles of track, and we'd circle around a portion of the same track. More dirt than rocky, yet still pretty fun cruising up and down! Finally, the cooling off in a small cenote that was recently discovered in the early 2000s. This cenote, however, was more of a cave with only one hole to see the sky. The lighting down there was fine, and Vicktor again shares some interesting facts about the place. It's not an infinity pool, but it was still calming. If you're ever in Cancun and wanna fill a day full of fun, I say give these guys a try. Also, check to see if your hotel gives you credit to use them.

Arranged through our hotel for Talum ruins tour, zip lining and cenote/cave swim... it was all well orchestrated and ran smoothly. Our guide for the Talum ruins tour, Orlando if I recall, was knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and history. Miguel took us through the zip lining and cenote swim and was attentive to our being the oldest of the group and gave close help to my wife when we did the swim portion since she isn't a strong swimmer... great guy The buffet lunch was very good also. Would recommend if you have the chance.

I travel a lot and wanted to make sure I choose my next destinations resort wisely. With recommendations from others playa Del Carmen was a desired destination. The resort panama jacks resorts playa Del Carmen is absolutely worth it and will make your vacation perfect. Day and nightly entertainment all day Everyday. 3 minute walk to the shopping strip "5th ave" We did The excursions like Coba, Tulum & "Adventuras maya tours "; which is a 3in 1 park for ATV/ziplining/cenote. The company picks you up from the hotel lobby no problem. The cenote here was absolutely breathtaking couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I wish we would've stayed more than 5 nights after seeing how awesome these activities were, Pleasantly surprised! Our tour guide was Manny aka Manu and he really made the adventures maya day tour perfect. He's knowledgeable and truly loves his job. Thanks for making our vacation one to truly remember.

We booked this tour through our hotel in Cancun and are very glad we did. We were picked up by one of the tour guides at our hotel and were provided with a safe driver in an air-conditioned van. It took about 45 minutes to arrive at our destination in the jungle. When we got there, we were introduced to our guide Rubin (aka Hippie Jesus). This kid was amazing! He was stern (keeping the group on track) but fun and very dedicated to the safety of the participants. Our first activity was ATVing! That was SOOOO much fun. Rubin gave us thorough instructions and provided us with safety equipment. Our next activity was repelling down one of their towers and then when had a chance to zipline. The towers are sturdy, but sometimes a bit difficult to climb due to uneven construction. For the ziplines, they offer a 3, 5 and 7 line options. The worst part is climbing the stairs for all of the towers, so make sure to eat a good breakfast and wear sturdy shoes. After ziplining, we had lunch (a delicious buffet) and after lunch we snorkeled in the cenote (cave). The water was a brisk 67 degrees F. This was truly an amazing day. It is also, for the most part, a very kid-friendly day. Children ages 8 and over can ride along on the ATVs (must be 16 to drive). Children as young as 3 were seen ziplining (tandem with the parents). Additionally, the tour guides were skilled at recognizing when individuals weren't comfortable or required additional instruction or assistance (such as during the swim in the cave and on the ATVs). The facilities, including restrooms, cafeteria and changing rooms were all very comfortable and clean. I will, without a doubt, do this tour again the next time I am in the Cancun area.

While visiting Cancun for our group vacation we decided on an Xtreme package with Adventuras Maya. There were able 30 of us and we made special arrangements for our large group called special pricing! This will last from 7:30am - 4pm so I suggest snacks and water; check out my list below! Three punctual vans arrived early in the morning and were very organized with our paid registration and was very easy with loading folks in their vehicles. The drive was about 90 minutes to Riviera Maya and the complete set up for our tour was very organized, very informative, and very adventurous! Our groups were separated into 3 smaller groups and assigned to a personal tour guide. His name was Luis, a complete gentleman. He was the reason why our tour was so smooth and safe. Our day began with a long van ride into a camp ground like area surrounded by jungles and underground playgrounds. Luis immediately introduced himself and described the ins and outs of being safe and described what we needed prior before each excursion. Our first adventure was the Cenote; an underground cave with natural rain water. You don't need to know how to swim but you need to learn to trust your life vest and doggy paddle! All equipment is provided free to borrow: life vest and snorkel gear. I would suggest to bring your water socks (its rocky underwater) other wise you can purchase water socks there. Make sure to bring bathing suit and a towel. You can store your towel in the cubby but leave all your other belongings in your assigned locker. Our 2nd and 3rd adventure began with a short talk of safety and paperwork where you're offered insurance ($25) just in case. I was fine without it. We rode ATVs through the jungle for about 20 minutes to arrive at the sink hole. Another all natural water adventure and then another 20 minute drive back! So much fun! We took a short break to our lockers and changed into some dry clothing for the 4th adventure for zip lining. Honestly, I would come back to Cancun to take my other family members here! I had an amazing time and I really appreciate how organized they were. After our entire adventure, they provided an amazing lunch in buffet style! So if you're serious about attending, bring the following items: water socks (you can wear these during all your excursions), towel, bathing suit, a full dry outfit to change in, bug spray, sun screen, and a water proof camera! These items should be placed in a bag small enough to fit in a small locker (provided for free) and don't forget your snacks. I really enjoyed it and I'm sure you will too!

    Fancy!

Thankfully it was only about 20 minutes from our hotel so it didn't take half a day just to get there. In total the whole experience was under four hours. There were 4 other people in our group we didn't know, staying in hotels much farther away. Lots of waiting around when you get there. There are free lockers to store your things and clean restroom and changing facilities. If you have an underwater camera pouch, bring it. It's the only way you're allowed to have a phone on the ATVs (around your neck) and you can use it both above and under water at the cenote. It was our first time doing ATV's and didn't know what to expect. I had no interest in driving one myself so I decided to ride as a passenger with my bf. This was the worst decision EVER! Granted I am a small person and struggled to get both of my feet firmly planted, so I basically held onto the back handlebars for dear life while I was thrown around like a ragdoll. My back was literally bruised from hitting the seat with the abrupt motions. I felt like I had whiplash and at one point the plastic shield on my helmet came off because my head crashed into my bf's helmet. We would have enjoyed it more if the speed was higher and more in the jungle but you're basically on a narrow trail with lots of bumps and bottoming out constantly. The ride was advertised as 45 minutes but was less than 40. I did like how there's a guide with you the entire time both at the front of the pack and back. On the flip side, it also made it so that you couldn't necessarily go the speed that you wanted. After that harrowing experience we were offered a buffet lunch (nothing special but nice that it was free) and then taken to the nearby cenote. That was really the highlight of the experience. You do have to rinse off all of your sunscreen (even those that are reef safe) in a cold shower before you enter... not sure how effective this was because most people did a half assed job. I liked that you were provided a life jacket so you could also just float without having to worry about supporting yourself. The guide was very knowledgeable. And the water was very clear. I've been to caves before but none that were under water. Very cool! Be prepared for many money grabs, but that's Mexico. We were basically bullied into buying the additional insurance, felt like a huge scam. But ultimately it was $25 for the two of us and because of the manmade holes on the course I can see how an ATV can get damaged even if you drive responsibly. We thought they would be jerks at the end about every little scratch but there was barely an inspection. They also take many pictures of you throughout the experience which you are not obligated to buy. We even declined being photographed in the first place. If you have your camera pouch you can take pictures of yourself everywhere you go.

Of course we were the fastest group! Next was the zipline. I did 7! My watch said 34 flights of stairs. Better not be afraid of heights. Lunch was the typical Mexican fair. Nicely done. A cenote snorkel, complete with bat cave and a ride to Tulum with tour guide. Excellent. It was a full day. Hats off to Isaac at Atv/zipline/cenote place. Oh did II mention tequila tasting. Ya that too at Tulum market. 6 checks on my bucket list

My Love and I had SO MUCH FUN here acting like a couple of regular fools!…read more We selected the evening visit option, which runs from 5:00 PM -11:30 PM. We didn't want to be running around in the hot sun, and we figured the lines would be lighter in the evening. Surprisingly, it was still super busy! We visited in early January, and the evening temperatures were mild. You can visit as many attractions as you like during your visit. We started out ziplining and moved our way to the amphibious vehicles, cave rafts, and a few water slides. Our faces hurt from laughing so much. The provided dinner is buffet style and surprisingly good! Lots of options, including vegan and vegetarian. The dining hall is huge, so you're not siting elbow-to-elbow with randoms. They spaced everyone out nicely (plus not everyone is dining at the same time). Water shoes are required. You can purchase them on-site for $20, and these suckers will last you a lifetime. They're nice quality and comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis, and my feet were protected and cushioned the entire time. Helmets are required and provided. There are lockers, but the rooms are all co-ed. You will need to bring your own towel. Phones are discouraged, as you need to hold on with both hands when participating in many of the activities. You can buy a waterproof case to hang around your neck if you'd like. YOU WILL GET WET ON NEARLY EVERY RIDE. Wear swimwear and something over it if you don't want your hiney hanging out. The staff are SUPER patient and very friendly. Everyone is bilingual (Spanish/English) so no worries about communication barriers. This place is fun for kids all the way up to (fit) senior citizens. There is a lot of walking, so be forewarned! Taxis are easy to catch here, with the assistance of the outdoor staff. It was about a $40 fare from and to our Riviera Maya hotel (Hard Rock). However, when I arrived, it was a lot smaller and a lot more underwhelming than it was described to be. It was also pretty cold on the day I was going and everything involved water. The zip line was a pretty fun attraction, but was just so short. If you went on the bigger zip line, you went on three different zip lines to get down. At the end, you land in water. It was exciting to see the views about the tree tops. The other fun attraction here was the ATVs. It is a pretty bumpy ride (which you also get splashed with water), but somebody in your party gets to drive. You can drive as crazy as you want or as tame as you would like. My husband drove insanely, and if I did not have my seatbelt on, I would've actually fallen out of the vehicle. The caves were another attraction and you could go through it by walking or/and by rafting. we did both, but the rafting was super slow and difficult to move. We saw some fish in the water and it was cool to see the inside of the cave. We didn't end up going on the water slides, but we finished the rest of park and ate lunch there in about three hours. The zip line in ATV was fun, but if I could redo or Cancun trip, I wouldn't have come to this park.

My wife is not…read morea confident snorkeller but with help from Luis and Limbert she went out into quite a rough sea to see the turtles and then snorkelled over some deep water in the cenote/caves. We both thoroughly enjoyed the half day trip and would recommend it to anyone. Limbert was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the history of Mexico on the drive down. Both were quite close to Playa Del Carmen/ Playacar so the longest drive was around thirty minutes. I got some great photos and at the end of the trip we were sent a Google Drive of the photos that Limbert had taken.

An Unforgettable Tour Thanks to Rod and Limbert! I was lucky to experience a truly unique custom tour organized by Rod, the owner, and Limbert, our tour guide. From the very beginning, the service was impeccable--warm, personalized, and incredibly thoughtful. Limbert wasn't just a guide; he felt like a true friend welcoming us into his home. His knowledge of Mayan culture is outstanding, and visiting the ruins with him felt like traveling back in time--an educational and fascinating experience we wouldn't have had with anyone else. Swimming with the turtles was also absolutely out of this world. Limbert made sure everything was safe, smooth, and above all, magical. He also took us to amazing restaurants with authentic Mexican cuisine, far from the tourist traps and full of local flavor. Thanks to Rod and Limbert, my vacation was more than excellent--it was truly memorable. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the Yucatán Peninsula with depth, authenticity, and a personal touch you'll never forget.

Tulum waters were clear and there were so many different varieties of fish! Took underwater photos and videos and they came out clear as day! Was nervous we might not see any sea turtles, but we saw 6 turtles at Akumal! And a stingray! Alex and Lalo definitely made the adventure better with their knowledge, great sense of humor and excellent service. This was my first time seeing the cenotes, and hey were beautiful and full of culture/history. Even got to do a cliff/cenote dive! Would definitely recommend this package for someone looking for snorkeling/cenotes experience.

We had used hotel credits to basically pay for the trip. As the only thing I actually paid for was the Mexican taxes. Here's a few highlights: ~ Started our day early around 7am, as the tour groups from several hotels gathered the tourists. ~ As the tour began, our guides introduced themselves as Walter and Fernando. Both bilingual and really nice guys. ~ Breakfast consisted of two types of tamales and a traditional balché Mayan drink. ~ On our way to Chichen Itza, Fernando and Walter referenced many historical facts about the Maya people and how they live today. They passed around artifacts as well. ~ We visited their local gift shop that they specifically support. And they do take credit card, even though I only carried cash. ~ Watched a video in a dome theater, about the Mayan culture and how it all began. ~ In the heat, Walter showed us all around the Chichen Itza grounds. Simply amazing! ~ For lunch we all met up at The Lodge at Chichen Itza (beautiful hotel btw). It was a buffet filled with freshly made tacos and other time-honored traditional dishes. A bit salty for me though. ~ After that, we trucked along to the cenote. Now this was probably my favorite highlight of my entire trip. To swim and relax in a natural pool of fresh water was just exhilarating! I loved seeing it, taking pics of it, and just disconnecting from that thing called "work". ~ On our way back, our final stop, we went to the town of Valladolid. Here we checked out the Cathedral of San Gervasio and bought some last minute gifts at the local shops. Tips: ~ They serve you bottled water, but I'd still bring some just in case. October was still hot and humid, yet bearable. ~ Bring a hand towel. Again, just in case, you'll thank me. ~ Sandals for the cenote. ~ Extra battery for your camera, or a charger. Overall: ~ Although the tour company seems to want to cater or sell you something from their local partners, it didn't really bother me. I enjoyed it, and still would recommend going with these guys.

Our group of 8 friends booked the excursion with the cenote and sea turtle snorkeling recently…read more Booking was easy through Viator, a bit pricey but worth the experience. We were picked up from our resort right at 7 am and then we made our way to the Cancun Adventures office to wait for two other couples from other resorts. This ended up taking quite a bit of time, but thankfully there is a coffee shop next door where we got some caffeine and a snack. They did offer us cold bottled water and bananas on the bus (I would bring extra snacks because by the time we finished at the cenote I was starving and had to pay $6 for a small bag of chips at the cenote). The bus was pretty crowded with 12 people, and driving back into the jungle to the cenote was VERY bumpy. Be sure to take some dramamine if you get car sick! Omar was our guide and he was amazing. He told us about the area of Mexico we were in, and talked about the cenotes and what we could expect at each stop. Once we got to the cenote, we were offered a Mayan blessing, showered off, and headed into the cenote. They do not allow any photos or devices in the cenote. (They provide a locker for your stuff.) Once you get into the cenote they take your photos, which was kitschy and VERY expensive ($50 for one photo), but I get it's part of the tour. I absolutely loved the cenote experience itself - it was so cool to learn about and Omar's background in biology made it very informative. This part was about an hour, then you could shop a bit (they are pretty pushy but you can politely decline). Then we headed on to the snorkeling portion. I personally don't really love snorkeling, but it was fun to see the turtles! We saw about 4 or 5, but it was a bit chaotic with other groups everywhere. Then we headed to the beach club for lunch. This private beach was peaceful and the food was delicious. I personally loved the beef burrito. Mix the hibiscus and lemonade half and half for a tasty beverage. There are some areas to relax and changing rooms, so bring dry clothes to change into if you want. Pack a towel! Overall the tour took much longer than I was expecting, so be sure to plan for that if you have a dinner reservation or other evening plans. But I loved the experience and Omar was awesome.

Along the way, we stopped at the underwater museum, where we snorkeled up to some of the artwork, and took in the sights of bright, vibrant coral reefs and amazing fish. On board, they served up sandwiches, and sweets, and snacks. The staff was super friendly, and got through the drunk as touristas as fast as possible. They provided all the equipment needed for snorkeling. There were more people on board than expected. I'd say maybe 65 people on board each catamaran. It wasn't exactly a private tour.

I don't give out that fifth star easily... but these guys EARNED it!…read more My wife and I tend to avoid pre-packaged ANYTHING. We choose AirBnB's over hotels, never stay at resorts, eat where the locals do, and avoid tourist traps like (place your favorite cliché here.) That said, we also want the skinny on what makes a World Heritage Site a... well, World Heritage Site. So after lots of soul-searching (and Web browsing), we opted to give these guys a shot ....and they hit it out of the park! First: Communication. Emails were plentiful and articulate. Important information (what to bring, where to meet, etc.) was highlighted in yellow. Second: Customer service. From the moment we met at the pick-up point (two minutes before the appointed time) until the drop-off, the staff was absolutely gracious, knowledgeable, helpful and just nice to be around. Third: The ambiance. Everything about the tour (this one to Chichén Itzá) was outstanding. There were 15 tourists and two staff in a late-model, well-maintained 21-passenger van. The air conditioning made the ride very comfortable (as did the shock absorbers!). Edér, our guide and a native of Tabasco, was clearly well-versed on the history of the Yucatán Peninsula, the history of the Maya, and the cultural artifacts that really add "color" to a tour. His English was accented but flawless... and he spoke at a volume that really made everyone WANT to listen... modulating his voice the way I do in my classroom, and I teach 6th grade! ;-) The extras. Our trip included, beside the stated objective of visiting Chichén Itzá, a sandwich on the way to the site (yummy!); a visit to a cenote (a flooded sinkhole where you may swim in a cave - we went to one called "Xkeken"), a luncheon (an over-the-top buffet at a hacienda near the cenote) and some free time in the colonial city of Valladolid - where we had been promised no pressure to shop anywhere - and were rewarded with a drop off in the city plaza, and 40 minutes to wander aimlessly (or do whatever called to you, even if it was to go shopping). The necessaries: Many Americans are advised not to drink tap water in Mexico... to stick to bottled water. These guys had enough 1/2 liter bottles on board for each of us to have a dozen apiece, if we'd wanted! (Soft drinks, too) ...and that water has got to go somewhere - so please pardon my indiscretion, but the restroom stops were strategically located as often as necessary, and even several were skipped simply because no one had needed them. So don't worry about being trapped in a van, having drunk your fill with no relief in sight! These guys have planned it WELL. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our driver, José: the consummate professional. He negotiated every speed bump, every parking lot and every tight squeeze with aplomb. Kudos to José, and to Edér! WELL DONE, YUKATREKS! We'll certainly use your services the next time we visit the Mayan Riviera!

My hubby and I have been to Mexico before, and once took a 40 person bus to the Tulum Ruins…read more.. never again! My review closely resembles Ruben G, so take a look at his review. It was an intimate group of about 12 or so, and we learned so much from Eder. The ride to the ruins felt like nothing since we were so entrapped with all of the information he provided to us about Mayan culture on the way there. This trip was well worth every penny! I know many people recommend to rent a car and drive to the ruins, but our history lesson made all the difference. And we obviously don't know the roads that well, so this made us feel safer. This was the best tour company I've ever used in Mexico and would recommend them to anyone!
