Such an awesome park to visit if you are in the Cancun/tulum area. The underwater expedition and river swim was my favorite!! Very unique experience and love how they have photo op locations throughout the park. Longest wait was for the huge 5-in-1 water slide. Other than that everything else had a relative short wait. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you plan to visit this area. Buffet was OK. I did notice some flies flying around and landing on food so just be weary Also make sure to bring a pair of water shoes and towels!!

We had an AMAZING time at Xplor and I have to say the buffet was the star of the show. This was definitely the best place we ate at while visiting Mexico! The buffet was huge and plentiful with food ranging from fresh fruit, a variety of tacos, chicken wings (with some delicious spiciness), a ceviche bar, fresh meat being cut in front of you, a guacamole bar, ice cream... literally everything and it was all so dang good! Now to the attractions, I really enjoyed the zip lines, we did both routes and they were a fun thrill! The ATVs were so fun, we were able to drive them for what felt like a long time. We did the river walk which was actually pretty difficult being short. I'm about 5'5, but I struggled to stay up in certain parts where my life jacket wasn't totally working. We did the water slide which was also a great thrill -- it was so fun because it was so long compared to most water slides (it has 5 sections). We didn't do the hammock zipline (the line was pretty long and we already did the regular zip lines which ended in the water). We saved the canoe boats for last and thank goodness - they were very backed up because people didn't know how to row. We spent about 35 mins in there right before closing and that was only because people didn't know what they were doing. All in all, we spent the day here and had an amazing time! Would love to try the other XCARET! Parks but also would definitely come back here! It was a great time.

I thought this was a little spendthrift when I was looking at this as an activity for our family of six. But a friend told me it was totally worth it - and I'm so glad I listened to them because it was a perfect day. From ATV driving to zip lining from 13 different towers as high as 140 feet high and 700M long, to swimming in cenotes and some gnarly water slides - it was incredible. And the food was good, the service was fantastic. We will be back!!

I love this place! I came here with my child who's very terrified of heights and she loved it. We did zip lining, waterslide, exploring cenotes, and amphibious vehicles. They give you a helmet to wear the entire time. You should bring your phone water proof cell phone holder, towel, reef safe sunscreen, change of clothes and water shoes. If you have to buy something there, it's very pricey. My favorite was the water slides and exploring cenotes. It's so breathtaking walking through the caves and stalagmites. Be ready for 15000 steps and lots of adventures!!!

Had an awesome time visiting with family. We visited Xcaret and Xplor and I was kind of concerned with Xplor since I had two seniors and one kid under 10. I assumed Xcaret would be more for them but overall my family enjoyed Xplor more. Got picked up early in the morning and we were done before 5pm. The Zip line and the underground river was the highlight of our trip. We didn't get to do the water slides as one of my kids were scared. The ATV ride was very bumpy and we didn't want to get wet but we did. My suggestions if visiting is to do the water slides and zip lines first as they get backed up the most. We did the underground river first and then changed into dry clothes. This was the same strategy suggested at Xcaret. You will get wet in the zip lines and in the ATV ride. Bring water shoes and bring dry shoes. We only brought water shoes and it was pretty uncomfortable and wet the entire day. The lunch was fantastic! They had ayce lobster! I think it was seasonal and we just got lucky. I saw other pics and they had crab legs instead. Best of all, you can stop by unlimited times. Definitely recommend.

Xplor park was a fun and exciting day! If you like to be active and have your adrenaline pumping then this is the park for you! I definitely recommend paying for the shuttle service. This service picked us up from our resort at 7:50am, brought us to Xplor and took us back to our resort after the park closed at 5pm. Be prepared to be there for 8 hours. Bring a towel and change of clothes so you feel clean and dry for the ride home. The buffet was good but don't leave your plate unattended because the birds fly in and eat off the plates lol! The zip lining was safe and fun. We zip lined for almost 3 hours after completing both circuits!! We did everything except the hammock splash, we ran out of time and we're tired near the end of the day! We purchased the photo package which was definitely worth it, however they said it was $89 USD but they charged my debit card $119 so I'm not sure why that extra $30 was added on.

Best day out for an active family. It's all day and you will be wet all day so plan for it. But definitely worth it. Much more expensive but significantly better than alternatives in the area. The food was also very good. Would absolutely do it again.

This place is highly recommended, highly recommended to attend night-time during feugo.... Came back here twice if we so fun... Fyi better be ready for a workout on the ziplines... there is alot of climbing on multiple towers but overall great time...

Xplor was so incredibly fun. I definitely pushed the envelope of what I would have thought my comfort zone would be, and had an absolute blast doing it ;-)

Oooooh I loved this adventure park!! Hours of fun!!! From the six zip lines, to the carts, the swimming in the caves, and then the food...I loved it all. Located in playa Del Carmen, this park screams culture and fun! It was 70° and a little chilly with all of the water excursions. But we still had fun and myself and son was able to go back in to the restaurant for hot tea and Coco to warm us up. Every staff here goes out of their way to assist; I must have gotten lost three times. Memories were made here!

Excellent family fun day at Xplor park. Came here while staying in Tulum and have to say it was a choice well made. The Xcaret parks are very well done and have plenty to do for all ages. Recommend to conquer the zip lining first early in the day as it is a one hour affair. The park allows you to do zip lining once per visit to the park so it's good to get that out of the way. Out of the two choices for zip lining adventures I recommend the jaguar route as it's longer and more adventurous. Water shoes are recommended as your feet will certainly get wet. They say you are not allowed to carry anything on the zip lining but we saw locals and guests carrying their phones around their neck in the water proof cases and true ogs had GoPro's attached to their helmets. We opted for the photo package as there are many photo opp spots throughout the park and it seemed like decent value. The food here is delicious and there is a wide variety of food that is delicious and nutritious. Beverages are good and the Horchata is great here. The vehicle ride is bumpy but a lot of fun! Overall 5 stars!

There is SO much to do that you genuinely can't fit it all in one day--underground rivers, beaches, snorkeling spots, wildlife exhibits, and cultural experiences throughout the park. Everything is beautifully maintained, super clean, and very well organized. The staff was helpful from start to finish, and the whole place felt safe and easy to navigate. Food options were plentiful with something for everyone, and it was a huge plus that meals were included. There's also plenty of parking (we didn't have to pay), which made getting there stress-free. A few helpful tips: * Bring water shoes - you'll thank yourself in the rivers * Bring a waterproof phone pouch - must-have for photos * You'll need to sign a waiver at the start * You'll receive a wristband + locker key with a chip (included, no extra charge--just don't lose it!) * There are plenty of showers and changing areas, plus parking within the park Be prepared--there is a LOT of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and pace yourself. Overall, this place is a must-do if you're visiting Mexico. It's the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and culture all in one unforgettable experience.

The food was decent for a buffet at a water park. The three different restaurants had a variety of options. The bars around the park would make you drinks with quality spirits for an all inclusive like Bacardi, Malibu, etc. We were trying to order our tickets online the same day but we kept getting an error message. We called their helpline and purchased tickets over the phone. I was glad we did because we received a discount! Lastly, there are stations all around the park where you can get a locker and pickup snorkel gear, etc. Don't go to the first station you see. Walk to the main area of the park and choose a station close to your next activity. They also provide showers to rinse before and after and life jackets to wear while in the lagoon.

I normally hate buffets, but this one was actually... good. Like really good. Fresh, flavorful, and plenty of options for everyone, from picky eaters to foodies. We ate well and didn't feel like we were sacrificing quality just because it was all-inclusive. We went back for thirds lol. It's definitely a long day and there's a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and pace yourself, but that's part of the fun. You can be adventurous or just float, snack, and nap in a hammock with a drink in your hand. The fact that almost everything is included (food, drinks, gear, activities) makes it feel totally worth it. No nickel-and-diming, just show up and enjoy. Your biggest snags will be the lines for the water slides, bird flight, and the Xensatorium. There is a fast pass for the bird flight experience. The kids and I really wanted to check this place out. It had been a long time since we had been here. Since it's a smaller park, it can be overlooked, but the park really tests the five senses. When you first get in you will have the ability to see the various optical illusions (via mirrors, special effects, or room layouts) and take selfies of those moments. The lobby imhas several selfie experiences, starting from the entrance to the locker rooms. Then there's the pueblo, where you will run into an upside down town. You think you are walking uphill but feel the opposite. There will be other opportunities to take selfies of you being in the ceiling, standing over a bottomless pit, or jumping towards the ground...it's all crazy in the Pueblo Abajo Town. The Xensatorium will have you enter a totally darkened tunnel where you will have to use the rest of your senses to feel, smell, and listen your way through the cave...cold, wet, warm, breezy, misty, ...finally ending in a cavern. The bird experience is extremely short, but it heads up the way to the heated float pools, and the muddy river, ...bucket showers will clean you off and you're onto the next one. I thought it was fun, and you can stay there as long as you like. The one thing I don't like about it is the Xnack bar isn't free, you have to pay for the food here...unlike the other parks. Once you check in, you are offered to upgrade your experience by paying a supplementary fee to add on a more VIP experience package which consists of a smaller tour group, more hands on, unlimited food, and such. I was by myself so I decided to opt in, and was given a complimentary glass of champagne as well. It was an additional $50 to upgrade which wasn't that bad and after the excursion was over, I felt it was extremely worth it. The other groups seemed very crowded and it would be less enjoyable granted these were all shared activities. You are then given a wristband and taken to the gift shop area where you can purchase items such as goggles for the ATV, scarves and protective gear, snorkeling equipment, and water shoes. You can also buy souvenirs. Then you are lead to the waiting area where you can meet everyone in your much smaller group, instructed by the staff what the rules and restrictions are, and you place all of your belongings (including cell phone!) inside a locker. There are no phones allowed at all- but this is also because they offer a photo package at an additional cost which takes professional pictures of you which they will try convincing you to buy since you have no personal photos of yourself. After the first two activities, you are allowed to go to your locker and retrieve your items to change for the cenote, so you can have belongings on you. Now lets breakdown the activities: First stop: ATV ride. Now this starts the tour off strong and this was my personal favorite activity. It was an incredible experience and you get your own ATV so you really can enjoy it to the fullest. You ride through a mud road and path and get to feel like a pro driver almost! It's incredibly fun and exhilarating and I loved every moment I wish it was longer!!! The ATV is easy to handle and the staff is following you on their own vehicle so if help is needed it's always nearby. Second: Zip line! After the intense atv ride, you get right into the next activity which is zip lining. You are harnessed and strapped up safely and then instructed to wait as everyone also gets securely prepared to zip line. The set up is as any standard course, and you walk from line to line and up steps and such to go through it. This was also extremely fun and exciting- if you have never done it before it is somewhat scary at first but it goes quick and is not very high so even an intermediate can do it! This was a little bit tiring because its two intense things back to back but I loved it as well. Third: Tequila tasting You have a small break where you can hydrate at the locker station and get your belongings to head to the tequila tasting. The teacher was extremely funny and educational, and the walk through the forest is actually so beautiful and scenic. The class walks you through a bunch of different kinds of tequila with many different options for all kinds of drinkers. You are also given the option to buy a bottle of tequila to take home! This was an insightful experience and you get to mix and mingle with your fellow group members! There is a break in between where tacos and drinks are served. Chips and guacamole, and you can eat as many tacos as possible and also order other food if you would like. The food was fresh and delicious, as most of the food I had tried in Mexico. Finale: Cenote! Now this was absolutely breathtaking. After changing into your bikini, you are given a life vest and walk(or canon ball) into the cenote. It is something everyone must see in their lifetime. The natural cave and water is stunning, and there are actually bats inside! Small fish also live inside the water. You are in the water cooling off for about 30 minutes and a photographer is following you the entire time! Snapping cute photos. Once everyone is out, you return back to the food area and are then given the option to buy the photos of you taken during the adventure. They are all digitally given to you if you purchase them and extremely good shots! I bought them and will add them to this review. Once the fun is over(sadly) you return to the front of the park, and are instructed which van to get into that will return you back to your hotel. I was exhausted riding back and it was raining so I was tired but arrived to my hotel around 4:30pm. So thankful for being able to participate in this and very appreciative of the staff and wonderful people of Mexico who allow all these amazing things to happen every day!!!! I strongly recommend this to anyone who really wants to explore and do something out of their comfort zone!

Out of everything I think the burgers were the best however food is only barely edible. I thought other reviews were over exaggerating, but they are true. Birds are flying everywhere around the park trying to pick at the food, even from the trash can. Bird poop is all over the lounge chairs. And metal is rusty everywhere. You get through all the activities in the first hour in the park and then you wait around for the boat to take you back to your resort. I would give this place zero stars if I could. One star for the 3 free alcoholic drinks I had to bare with this place.

I had the pleasure of having a private tour of the facility during a recent cruise to Mexico. As…read morethis was my fourth trip to Cozumel, I decided to book privately outside of the cruise line and do something a bit different. My tour guide Martin gave me the difference that I was seeking. My day started with a welcome Margarita, which was very tasty. I then saw examples of art and culture from around the country. We then moved into the chocolate room where I was welcomed with another drink, a chocolate margarita. Martin then should be the process of making cacao into chocolate bars. I got my hand on the mill and got to make my own cinnamon and sugar bar for cocoa. I was then treated to a dish of mole with chips and chocolate covered snacks. We then went outside to the dioramas and to see the rain ceremony from the flying dancers. The rain ritual was brave and amazing. My favorite part of the experience was the Jose Cuervo Tequila Tasting. I tried three tequilas, looking for the flavor notes of each level of aging. The day ended with a delicious authentic Mexican meal. Awesome afternoon visit to Discover Mexico! Tour offered by Bryan as he introduced the 32 states of…read moreMexico, some of their unique cultures and art from each region. The park has many very well-made dioramas which help tell the stories as well as a nice collection of art. Our group also enjoyed "The Joy of Chocolate" tour which explained Mexico's importance in the world chocolate trade. We learned where and how chocolate was grown and how it came to be a key crop and export for Mexico. We tasted a wonderful hot Mexican chocolate as well as the raw cacao beans. We then split in to pairs and were directed to a grinder where we ground our own beans and then massaged the product with our hands until the fat had softened. At this point, we added sugar, cinnamon and some vanilla and mixed until the ball was shiny. We pressed in to a mould, added a unique mark and waited for the chocolate disc to solidify. We later wrapped the disc and had a wonderful souvenir of 40% cacao to take home. Really fun! We also tasted a delicious molé and a chocolate margarita. A unique experience and very nice tour at the Discover Mexico Park!
