The whole experience was wonderful! I did the manatees swim and it was so cool!!! Loved the interaction! The dolphins looked great also but I've come that many times so wanted something different. The whole park is beautiful with lots of cool sights! The lagoon was stunning, the water and snorkeling great. The food at the buffet was delicious! Better than our resort! The ruins were gorgeous. I'm between 4-5 stars because of the pricing which was inconsistent and everything added up quickly! That said, I expected that. But I did purchase the digital photos on advance and they included a free ride back to my hotel and a free buffet so that made it a better deal for sure and I was really excited to have all the photos when we were done so I definitely recommend that option! I did hear some people say that their Manatee ticket included admission to the park but since I did not purchase a ticket in advance I paid separately! I would absolutely recommend stopping here. I made the most wonderful friends on the excursion that I hope will be friends for life! And Christian our server in the buffet was wonderful!

Exchange rate at the restaurant

Then they're trying to say the exchange rate is 23 per USA dollars. The current exchange rate is 18. He's like it's right here. Then I'm like, why is it not on your menu? Your can write that everyday. That's low-key manipulation and plus you don't even say it . I was like fine then I'm not leaving a tip and they got mad and " I service you. It's not my fault" So my 2 coconut drink, and a taco should be $35 or around 628 pesos. They charge me 805 pesos $44.85. Even the food is expensive. 3 chicken tacos are $15 USA dollars. Yeah watch out for the restaurants here.

Pepe was absolutely the best. We swam with manatees, laid out by the pool and also had the food. Delicious! (we were on the Royal Caribbean cruise) We also saw a sea lion show

What a fantastic place to spend the day. Departing for the cruise port we shared a ride and only paid $6 each. The entry was not bad to get in. They have many options such as a swim with dolphin, manatees, or with a snorkel guide. You can also choose to pay for all inclusive food at the buffet. We just paid the minimum and enjoyed the views and snorkeling. Everything was clean and the staff was so friendly. They were ready and available to grab us anything we needed. Oh, and did I mention the fish... WOW! I very much enjoyed seeing them. We will be back soon!

This is a decent spot when visiting Cozemel. It is about a $20 cab ride from the cruise port and only took about 10 minutes to get to. We had the VIP dolphin excursion which include admission to the park, swimming with the dolphins, all you can eat lunch, and unlimited drinks. Yes the drinks were watered down, but its free booze, so hey. We added on the photo package which included all the photos with the dolphin, including a family photo, time to swim with a manatee and a cab ride back to the port. It also include done photo with the sea lion that you take after the one of the few sea lion shows. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. My family enjoyed the time that we spent there. The dolphin swim lasted about 25 minutes and the manatee portion was very quick and lasted about 5. they just lined everyone up in one of the water pins and walked a manatee up and down the line. There were no pictures for that experience. They offer free lockers to secure your stuff. The trick with them though is getting them to work. You will find cubbies on the deck by the dolphin bins where you can store your shoes, because you will definitely need them to walk down there because the deck is hot, has nailheads sticking up, and lots of splinters that are ready to introduce themselves to your foot. The park has a nice pool with a swim up open bar. There is also a beach area there with sun chairs. I had no problem getting a chair. If you are doing one of the swims be sure to schedule it around the sea lion show. There are only two of those shows. One major thing that they need to fix ASAP is their boardwalk. It is in bad shape and you should defiently wear shoes when walking on it. Not just because it gets hot, but because of splinters. The place also offers a little gift market of sorts, where they have vendors selling goods and souvenirs. You will also find an ice cream vender (extra cost) here as well. The sea lion show last about 10 minutes and they also offer sea lion swims as well. Other excurinosn include scuba diving. The lunch buffet is ok. Nothing special, but I was not expecting much. They had some pasta, some potatoes, salads, nacho chips, and fajitas. If you are on a cruise ship and planning on doing this excursion I highly recommend checking the ships price for the excursion against the price of booking it on your own. I ended up saving a few hundred dollars booking the excursion on my on and was on my own time doing so. One they to keep in mind while you are there is that this is a tourist trap and they will try to up sell you for every little thing from otther activities, to photo packages, to additional pictures to souvenirs. After all, they are there to make money. All in all, we had a good time, I highly recommend checking this spot out if you get the chance. There is a lot to do there and everything is included.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Booking directly on the Chankanaab website led us to missing our VIP Royal Dolphin swim which was supposed to be my young children's' Christmas present. We thought we were booking directly with Chankanaab since we were on their website. Turns out Cozumel Adventures was booking on their behalf. We were told and confirmed that for an extra fee they would pick us up at the Hard Rock Cafe and bring us to Chankanaab. The morning of they were confused by this and tried to dispute it even though we had all the details in their email. Our reservation was for 10am we ended up getting a taxi and making our way to Chankanaab. We arrived at the front gates at 9:50 by the time we checked in at the front and made our way to the dolphin check in counter it was 10:10. The Chankanaab employees informed us we had missed our dolphin swim time and we would need to talk to Cristian with Cozumel Adventures since they handled our booking. Again, we had thought we booked directly with Chankanaab. Cristian arrived and was absolutely no help. His only offer was for free snorkel gear rental. We had our own and didn't need that. My children are 5 and 7 and he ruined their vacation and dreams. Book with this company at your own risk. There was another family there as well that booked through Cozumel Adventures that also was having a horrible time and problems. Seems like everyone was having a great time EXCEPT the people who booked through this company.

Picked the all day all inclusive with my excursion through NCL. We honestly had a great time, if you want a nice beach day or drinks by the pool it was really nice. All the staff was very kind, we enjoyed the tequila tasting but it sure came back to bite us but try the margarita in the tequila village, fair price for the experience. Would definitely come back next time we are in Cozumel.

Chankanaab was a beautiful place. We went there for the Royal Swim with the dolphins which was said to include the lockers and lunch. We sadly had to leave for our next excursion before we got to eat. But would have loved to have tried it out. It looked like there would have been enough to do for the whole day if we had had the time. There is a swimming area, the dolphin interaction, heard there is an area to snorkel which is beautiful, and more. Taxis sit outside in the parking lot so it can be easy for tourists to get where they need to go. Be sure to ask at port how much they are supposed to charge you otherwise they may overcharge you was what we were told at port. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

We had a lot of fun here, we went diving and our guide was the best ever. He gave us all of our photos for the price of the SD card. We didn't get any food, and came later in the day so the beach was pretty empty. We also did a tequila tasting which is quite good.

Dolphins restrictions they don't tell you about online

Viator sells you the Dolphin Royal Swim at Chankanaab Park but when you arrive, they inform you that it is now against the law to allow the dolphins to push you, pull you, etc. So they have to downgrade your experience and try to sell you less for money you already paid! I love the dolphins swim but wasn't in the mood for the bait and switch!

Debbie G.

Everyone was friendly. We did a scuba excursion with shop#7. I'm not a great swim so they gave great instructions and stay with me til I felt comfortable swimming on my on. We will definitely go back with this guy when we return to Cozumel. You can order food, drink, and have it deliver to you. Restrooms and showers are available to change clothes. Enjoy!

I only got to spend about 2 minutes with him but it was nice

We were here on Wed 4-12 and book through our cruise ship. We booked the Dolphin and Manatee encounter. Diego met us at the port and he is VERY good at his job. He made sure we stayed together and put us all on taxis to get us there. He was very friendly to all of us and explained what everything was . He was definitely a pleasure . I manage a resort and would hire him immediately! Give him a raise! We were booked for the early encounter so as soon as we got there we changed quickly in a very clean dressing area. There is a coed one wIth lockers (free) but there are private dressing rooms. You can also change in the restroom. It's very nice as well. The water was kind of rough with boats doing past and creating waves when we got in the area of the encounter the water was rough. I'm so glad there was a fence to hold on too. We got to spend about 2 minutes each with the dolphins. Mostly just to pose for pics . No other show or any other interaction. We did get to pet him a few times. The manatee was brought in and followed the handler around under water . They are my favorite animal. He did a couple of passes in front of us so we could pet him. The animals seem happy and well taken care of . I would like to point out that Christian that works at the buffet is a pleasure . He was very kind and made sure my drink stayed full. I made sure to tip him. The Buffet food was delicious!! Definitely try the chimichangas and the nachos! The hibiscus tea was wonderful. The beach area was very nice as well as the pool area. I will say the photographs they take are very very expensive. It was $110 bucks for 4 pictures that you download. So no printed pic. The water and views were beautiful

The person who wouldn't let me have water.

Absolutely terrible experience. During Check on we were redirected to three different people who didn't know what was going on. I tried to refill a water bottle and was told that I couldn't do that even though we bought a drink package that they didn't honor. They would let me have water! Overpriced, sold a drink package we couldn't use. Terrible experience!

Cozumel Day at Paradise Beach…read more We booked the all-inclusive day pass through Viator and saved 10%, and honestly... anytime I can save a little money, I will. Quick tip for anyone going: when you walk out of the port and head to the taxi line, don't just jump into the first one. Our first driver tried to upcharge us quite a bit. We kept walking and were able to negotiate. I had heard it's usually around $15 per ride (not per person), but we ended up paying $20 -- and honestly it's a bit of a drive, so I get it. Also... those taxi drivers drive like we're in GTA. Once we arrived, the vibe was totally peaceful. Yes, the chairs are fairly close together (similar setup to Mr. Sanchos), but Paradise Beach felt much calmer and less of a party scene, which we really appreciated. The food and drinks were actually really good for an all-inclusive beach club. We tried quite a few things: * Nachos * Quesadillas * Blue cheese burger * Grilled shrimp * Coconut shrimp * Grilled mahi tacos -- which were the highlight The beach was nice, the pool was great, and you basically pick your "home base" (pool or beach) so your waiter knows where to find you for food and drinks. A few other things worth noting: Great bathrooms and changing rooms Lockers available (extra fee) Inflatable water park for kids (extra fee) Paddleboards and snorkeling (extra fee) Would I go again? Yes.

There is SO much to do that you genuinely can't fit it all in one day--underground rivers, beaches, snorkeling spots, wildlife exhibits, and cultural experiences throughout the park. Everything is beautifully maintained, super clean, and very well organized. The staff was helpful from start to finish, and the whole place felt safe and easy to navigate. Food options were plentiful with something for everyone, and it was a huge plus that meals were included. There's also plenty of parking (we didn't have to pay), which made getting there stress-free. A few helpful tips: * Bring water shoes - you'll thank yourself in the rivers * Bring a waterproof phone pouch - must-have for photos * You'll need to sign a waiver at the start * You'll receive a wristband + locker key with a chip (included, no extra charge--just don't lose it!) * There are plenty of showers and changing areas, plus parking within the park Be prepared--there is a LOT of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and pace yourself. Overall, this place is a must-do if you're visiting Mexico. It's the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and culture all in one unforgettable experience.

We…read moredidn't book an excursion through the cruise line but found a great option right at the pier before reaching the Cozumel sign. A gentleman had a booth for Playa Mia. You can purchase the $15 day pass to access the beach. There was another package that included food, but it seemed unnecessary since we didn't plan on staying too long. My goal was getting a spot where the kids can play with sand. The weather had been iffy too. It was raining on the taxi ride there, but thankfully it let up by the time we walked to the beach area. Once we arrived, we did have to pay $6 for an umbrella to use with our beach chairs. The umbrella kept closing so we had to get somebody to keep opening it back up. Finally, they told us they had to close the beach umbrellas for 30 minutes due to the wind that was coming. That was my sign to leave since it had already poured on our way there. The bathrooms are located to the left of the open buffet area. They have a feet washing area in front of the bathroom. There are two entrances. The left is for the toilets and the right is for the showers. Inside the shower area they have the baby change table. The beach area itself was clean and well maintained. Once you get there, keep going all the way inside. There were will be stores and excursions you can purchase. The ticket area to show you paid and to get your wristband will be on the left. We purchased a sand bucket that came with a toy from a store there for $10. They offer fun inflatables in the water for the older kids and banana boat rides. We apparently had a server who was helping our area. The gentleman who served us was friendly and attentive. My little one was thrilled to have chicken wings. We asked for the sauce on the side and the wings were crispy. We also tried the fajitas and they were pretty good. The salsa had a nice kick. I would definitely skip on the bean and cheese nachos! Overall, it was a great, affordable way to enjoy some time at the beach without committing to a full day excursion. I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a low-key, budget-friendly beach day with the kids.

I want to caveat this review straight away - we visited on a pretty quiet day. We came in on a…read moreDisney cruise and I checked before booking and only 1 other cruise ship was in port on the day we visited and that ship was a more adult oriented cruise line. Because of that I was fairly confident Playa Mia would not be overly full and I turned out to be correct. After doing some research before going there are other offerings that are better for pure adult visitors and Playa Mia strikes a good middle ground for everyone. We picked this beach park because it was the only one that didn't nickel-and-dime you on every little add-on: for example the obstacle course/water park is included with the all-inclusive package we bought. As I mentioned, we did get the all-inclusive package including travel. Some of the other guests were not on all-inclusive visit and most opted for their own travel. Having already been once, next time I may handle travel myself as I am an experienced traveler and the taxi's were very friendly, however with a young one in tow I must say the friendliness and helpfulness of the people who met us and arranged our travel in both directions was amazing and I absolutely do not regret paying a little extra for the included travel. Ultimately they did just put us in a taxi that they paid for but they met us super close to the boat exit and walked us all the way to the taxi stand and dealt with telling him where to go, etc. That was nice while we dealt with our hyped up kids in a new environment. I can't speak to the non all-inclusive experience but if you don't plan to drink a lot (including water/soft drinks for the kids) I think it can be a bargain. However, with the full package we bought, the only thing I ended up paying for was a deposit on the towels that we ultimately got back. I did tip our server (Alberto was awesome) decently well because of how much work he did during the almost full day we were there - so tipping is an additional expense that happens in any kind of place like this. One note, I did go for the top level all-inclusive package and with that the adults got a Tequila tasting and the kids got a chocolate tasting. Obviously the intent of these is to sell some goods but don't skip out on these if you get them - both tastings were delicious and even though we never buy anything at these things, in retrospect we still wish we had picked up some coffee Tequila. Because the day we visited wasn't super crowded, we had such a great time. The facilities are on the older side and the landscaping isn't perfectly manicured but it's on a beautiful beach and there was at least a little something for everyone: from 5 years old to 40. If it were considerably busier, that might pose an issue but they have a lot of room for people to spread out so except for the buffet being busy, I think it would take a lot of people for it to ruin your day.

Like all the other reviews say, it was a little run down... and pretty dead. There were not a lot of options for the slides, and we went through it basically the first hour. We went because we basically had to in order to get in to the Dolphin swim activity. It came with a package we purchased from the hotel using our resort credits. The price itself, I guess since we used resort credits and we got admission to both wet n wild and dolphin swim, it wasn't too bad, so I wouldn't know what the real price is for getting in here by itself. Also, it comes with lunch, but the lunch itself was really bleh. Out of everything I think the burgers were the best however food is only barely edible. I thought other reviews were over exaggerating, but they are true. Birds are flying everywhere around the park trying to pick at the food, even from the trash can. Bird poop is all over the lounge chairs. And metal is rusty everywhere. There were some experiences that she was not allowed to do (which the age limit was NEVER communicated to us). So we then told the trainer that my husband and I will pass on some of the dolphin tricks to allocate that time for our daughter instead to repeat some of the dolphin interaction that she can participate on. The trainer said yes but didn't do any of that. All of this was communicated in clear Spanish so there was no "lost in translation". We ended up paying to see the dolphin interact with the other family that was in our group. We complained and was rudely told that we can file a report (that we all know goes to nowhere) and nothing else can be done. Right after that moment, a family of 8 asked us if the experience was worth it and if they should do it. We said absolutely not. That's all it takes to lose 8 paying customers. Word of mouth from unhappy, disrespected, uncompensated customers. On a different note, we also noticed that our dolphin's nose had a scarred nose that looked like a result from their tricks (that we took a pass on). One of the trick is the dolphin pushes your entire body with a boogie board with the base of your feet using the tip of his nose. A lot of tension and weight for this animal to do - everyday at every hour.

Once there they tell us our 6 year old is too short and will have to stay on platform. Then sell us some crazy photo package got nearly $400 usd. Nahh... proceed and they say won't start for another 30 mins to enjoy the beach. We then meet up for the orientation and they send us back to shower as the kids were sandy. Finally arrive they give my child a broken life vest and I ask for another the guy says no he's fine. We then have the dolphin experience which was lovely. Carla and Angelina were great. Then no further directions we squeezed in the bathroom to change and paid the $7 to rent the towel. Then finally we are shown the beautiful pictures. We wanted one group photo and they said the price is per person not photo! Insane there is 6 of us at $89 a person is ridiculous! We tried to negotiate a deal... his deal was $105 for just the digital photos of the kids. I said I just want one photo of our group and he said they can't do that. Walked out. Why would we pay $89 per person for a photograph. And digital at that. The whole thing is money money so overpriced for the 15 mins we spent with a dolphin. Do not recommend for families on a budget.

Overall, it was a fun experience and my kiddo absolutely loved it. However, I was concerned about…read morethe condition of our dolphin, she had multiple abrasions on her face, several scars on her body, and a laceration under her fin. Since the dolphins are born in captivity, I'm not sure why she appeared so rough. The experience itself was enjoyable, and the photo package was actually cheaper if purchased right before leaving. I would have given this a higher rating if the dolphins had looked healthier.

I just got from a 6 day stay at Paraiso Lindo, along with another family. Together we had two 4…read moreyear olds and an 11 month old. I must say - we had a fantastic time. The pools are great and the lazy river was a ton of fun for the kids. There are so many options of things to do both inside and outside of the resort. One of my favorite things is that activities just kept coming to us! There's water Zumba and a water fitness class. There's a fun competitive sport in the pool every single day. They set up a really cool obstacle course in the pool for kids. We had a dance party, a foam party, and most importantly for the adults - a swim up bar with bar tenders that made excellent margaritas, daquiris, pina coladas and caipirihnas. The staff here were super friendly and that goes for every part of the hotel. The service at the restaurants. the towel person, the entertainment. Everyone was friendly and attentive to our kids and to the adults in our party. The only negative I would say is the food. But honestly, Ive never had good food at an all inclusive resort so thats just something that is par for the course. There's a grill where you can request freshly grilled meats and fish, and if you stick to that, you'll be good. Otherwise, it was all subpar food. I didnt take a star away because I dont expect food to be good at a resort, and this is based on my experience. how relaxing it felt, how much fun the kids had. the cleanliness of the beach and pool and resort in general. the fun and entertainment, and of course, the well made and delicious drinks. A 5 star experience all around. We will definitely be back!

I am going to do my best to provide a fair and honest review. However, this resort is a classic…read more"lipstick on a pig" situation. If you value any of the below, reconsider booking here. - Customer Service - Value for your money - Food Quality I will touch on the aspects of all below. First I must say, with customer service, if a tip is expected or you are in a situation where a tip is appropriate your service will be exceptional. However, if it is simply an issue you are having, they do not care. For example we are 1 week in to our 2 week (12 day) stay, and the internet died In our room. Not really a big deal, but when brought to their attention they assumed we simply didn't know what we were doing, and didn't know how to connect. They made us feel like idiots for an hour, before they finally looked into the issue. Despite multiple screenshots being sent that we were indeed connected, but had no internet connection. It's so wonderful to pay $35,000 to stay here and be treated like a moron. For my next example, the "service" at the buffet. Breakfast service is fantastic, never have we had poor service at breakfast or lunch in fact. However we have been through now 3 dinners where a server never appeared. I had to get my own water canisters from the serving stations so that my family and I could have a drink, and our plates were never cleared. Once we were sat with 6 place settings for 7 people, and they actually argued that there were 7 there. I am not blind, and I can indeed count to at least 10 regularly. Finally the host set down a single fork, knife, and spoon and tossed a napkin at our 7th guest. Again, merely two examples of continuous bad experiences. - Value for your money ties into service and food. The food on the buffet is subpar, and always cold. It appears there is a lot of options, but they repeat frequently and a lot of the time dinner is what's for breakfast. For example the day before yesterday I had mushroom stew, which wasn't bad, but then it was what was for breakfast the next day. Not many fruit options, in particular for a tropical destination. We have more variety in the middle of winter in Canada on a fruit tray from the grocery store than what they offer here. - The food ... ah the food. I chose to write this now because my daughter seems to have gotten food poisoning from here. Initially I was going to wait until the end of our stay but I am done. All of the seafood has been overcooked and dry, while items like Lamb and Pork are undercooked. Due to the humidity the cereals are not edible, as they are completely soggy. You can't bite through it even, again we're talking cereal here. Proper storage is for sure not happening in my opinion. Things are readily available here, which is nice, however it does not make up for everything else. We also wanted to plan a beach dinner, and despite the friends and family dinner being listed at 1500 pesos on their own app, they will only offer us the Romantic option, which is over 4000 pesos per person. We were quoted $2300 USD for a dinner for 7. We have had their food, and service so this price is quite laughable. *** Edit to add*** They have now given my full name and room number to total strangers. This is a major safety issue for my family. We are also up to two people with food poisoning now. Just found out accidentally that you need to have a reservation to be able to eat on the 24th, then they told us that we also need one the 25th. So I go to guest services and I am once again told I am stupid (Alfred literally spelled open out like O P E N to me like I'm dumb) because apparently you do not need a reservation to eat the 25th. I am apparently just supposed to take their word for it. ***Second Edit*** The hotel is insistent on doubling down that they are perfect. Please do not waste your money and stay here. We were seated at their Christmas dinner, to a table that quite literally had dirt on it. The food was disgusting as well. Mashed potatoes tasted like smoke, the cranberry sauce (yes labelled was cranberry sauce) was made with Apples. On top of the lack of food safety here, they are going to cause someone to die of an allergic reaction, if not just food poisoning. The room above us continues to scream and move furniture back and forth all night and day (I really want to know what they're doing?!) and the hotel won't do a thing. It took us 2 hours to get bedding and a cot for our son, and then when it arrived it was disgustingly dirty. Now we are trying to finally leave this craphole, and we have private transfers booked. The bell man took it upon himself to come and scream and argue with me that we need to be on the bus, despite us telling him we have a transfer. Please use caution before booking here.
