We came here for a shore excursion while on a Royal Caribbean cruise, and it was worth every penny! The excursion we chose was a manatee swim that included lunch. All of the employees here were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the park itself is very nice! Our manatee swim was such an incredible experience! We had a party of 9, so we lucked out and had only us in the group . Our girl who was with us was so kind, patient and very knowledgeable. The manatee was seriously such an amazing experience I'd definitely recommend for everyone to try! While I'm sure photographing kids and even adults during this experience isn't easy... the photographer did an AMAZING job with the pictures, and I love that they have an app where you can download all of the pictures right there when you buy them! The lunch buffet was GREAT, they had the most amazing potato tacos and they really did have a great variety of options so even the pickiest of eaters can find something there! After our the lunch we went and swam in the beautiful beach area where the sand was amazing and so were the bar tenders. My oldest got stung by a jellyfish while we were there and the bartender was so friendly and got us some vinegar to put on it (who knew that helped? Not me!) and a couple mariachi gentlemen came over and sang to her to make her feel better . One of the men from the shop right by there helped me locate Benadryl from the pharmaceria in the park. Overall I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about this place and if you're traveling to Cozumel this is a great experience and park to consider. Purchased through a cruise line. The tour guide met us at the port, separated us into groups, and sent us to the park in separate Taxis. Once we arrived, the guide gave us a brief rundown on our schedule for the day, then showed us to the lockers to put everything away. We were told we could not take sunglasses or anything else out to the dolphin encounter. They really don't want you to take anything that could have a camera in it to take your own photos. We were given life jackets, and before going out to the pier, a photographer asked if we were interested in photos. We chose to get them with the dolphin and the Manatee. They had a security guard checking wristbands and for cameras before you go on the pier. Our group was taken down in the water to stand on a small ledge that was maybe 18" wide, about 3' below the surface of the water. This was in the ocean with constant waves coming in, pushing us. There was a green fence behind the ledge, and you could tell by the way it was bent all over that people had been hanging onto it for years to stay on the ledge. It was just a normal wire chain link fence with lots of sharp edges, so you had to be careful where you held on. I believe the purpose of the fence in the water was intended to catch the seaweed floating in the water. With as much money as this place makes, you think they would be able to afford an actual rail for people to hold onto. They brought out the dolphin, and the whole encounter felt very rushed. We were given a few seconds each to pet him as he went down the line. On the next pass, we got to rub his head, those who chose to buy photos got a little more time for the photographer to get pictures. We took turns rubbing his belly, and then those who were comfortable swimming off the ledge got to swim and splash with the dolphin. Many stayed on the ledge and skipped this due to the waves. I had to pull a couple of people back in myself who had trouble getting back to the ledge. The last activity was putting on a mask and listening to the dolphin squeak underwater, only 4 people felt comfortable swimming in the waves to do that. We got out of the dolphin area and got into a similar enclosure with the Manatee, which was also rushed. The only people who got to spend time with the Manatee were those who opted for photos prior to getting in. The changing rooms were nice in the locker area. We went in to look at our photos and were told to choose our own photos from the group. I was wearing a similar sun shirt as the guy next to me, and I somehow chose several of his photos while selecting from the thumbnail photos. The person assisting us became upset, claiming I was trying to get pictures for the other people. The price for the Dolphin photos was $140, we were given the option of choosing 1 photo with the Manatee for $40 or all of them for $60. We ended up paying $200 for all photos, and they printed 2 of our choice. To get your digital photos, you have to download their app and get the photos while connected to their WiFi. They took so long processing our order and then showing us how to get their app to get the photos that we missed the only Sea Lion show. We walked around the rest of the park and found the Snuba counter. We would have put our swimsuits back on to do that, but there was no one at the counter and no signs saying they were closed for the day. We saw signs for massage, but when we asked, we were led to an area behind a bar, nowhere near the signs. That seemed a little sketchy, so we walked away. When I looked at a map later, it showed the massage area was near the lagoon, not where we had been taken. We had lunch at the included buffet, don't recall what it was. There was a very nice server going around taking drink orders and bringing prompt refills. After lunch, we walked around in the gardens and the Mayan exhibit until it was time to go. To get back to the ship, we were split into separate Taxis again. We got back to the port on time, and we had plenty of time left before we had to be back on the ship. read more

We booked this excursion (the first one that we have ever booked!) because we wanted to get out in Mexico and experience something other than the port itself. So glad we did, there were a lot of things to do! We loved being in the water with the manatees, that was definitely our favorite part! We were able to pet a manatee while the guide person was giving us facts There was a spot at the resort to do tequila tastings which was delicious and the guy who was helping us was very fun There is a section with replicas of Aztec statues and structures which was really neat to see- they did a really good job at that There was an area where you can do some "local" shopping. Be careful and ask the prices beforehand, some booths charge more than others for hair wraps. Overall, we had such a good time here. The only downside is the food was pretty mediocre. We had to do research before booking an excursion when we went on a cruise. This was one of the places that was offered and we went for it hoping for the best. It turned out wonderful! After we got off at the cruise terminal, the tour guide met us at the meeting spot for the excursion. We had to sign a waiver while we were waiting, which I don't understand why we couldn't have done it on the cruise to begin with to save a lot of time. Our group were separated by sections and we were able to enjoy a taxi bus ride on the way to Chankanaab. We signed up for a time to go in the water with the manatees. While we were waiting, we were able to enjoy the pool with the open bar. Seeing and having pictures taken by the photographers with the manatees is a must. You are not allowed to bring your own cameras into the water. They provided life jackets and we were able to see the dolphins as well. The excursion included a lunch at one of the three places that we were able to go to in the plaza that was next to the pool. We went to Big Fish and was able to enjoy a Mexican buffet. There was a sea lion show we went after lunch and it was entertaining. The one last dip in the pool with more drinks to fill up was a nice ending to the day. read more

Did some research before the cruise and was debating between snorkeling here or money bar. Ended up choosing this spot because it advertised zip lining, sandy beach, botanical garden and more. When we got off the cruise there were tons of vendors trying to sell us tickets. Even the taxi drivers tried but we decided to buy tickets at the entrance. Taxis are $5 pp. It's about 15-20 minutes from downtown. Vendors tried to sell us tickets again but we ended up walking up to the booth and a guy came by to help us. We were able to bargain the price a bit. He handed us to another man who lead us to the beach lounge chair area. We brough our own gear and we were able to get free life vest (they keep your id until you return it). The ocean is so salty so we were super bouyant. You wouldn't even need the jacket. There were fish but not a big variety and they were clustered in sereval spots. Water is clear but overall same same most of the area. So don't expect much in terms of snorkeling. Water temp is nice in beginning of April. Shower and bathrooms were clean. Botanical garden is like a small forest with some trees. No flowers. I spotted a big iguana. Sea lion show was short and entertaining. All in all a good way to spend several hours off the ship. Linda's snack bar- We were lead to this area by the man at the entrance. Apparently there are several food stalls and where you end up sitting is where you end up eating/drinking. Server was super attentive and kept coming by to ask if we wanted to order more. Lots of chairs and hut like umbrellas for shade. Their hammocks as located set back from the beachfront by the restrooms. There are outdoor showers. At the beach you can walk down the stairs to the corals and snorkel. We ordered: Beef tacos: carne was much better than the place in costa maya. Beef nachos: 5/5 big portions, chips piled high with real melted cheese (not nacho cheese), beans, guacamole and meat. Very good! Chicken nachos: 5/5 just like above but with diced chicken. 3/6/2026: We visited CBAP during our cruise on a snorkeling excursion. The park itself is pretty with the lush trees. The only thing I hate is they offer swimming with the dolphins. I don't understand how this still goes on and people are not educated enough to understand this is an awful activity. I went low for my review since this is something that deeply troubles me and it is a reason I will never go back until they end this activity. I think they have manatee encounters as well. They need to end ALL animals activities like this. I read an article stating that Mexico is supposed to be banning these activities. This needs to happen soon! Honestly, if I had not already paid for the excursion, I would have left the park immediately after seeing the swim with dolphins sign. It makes me so sad. End of rant for my finned friends. As for the park, if you are doing a snorkel or scuba diving excursion, just know you will be guided to a beach area with waiters asking every 2 minutes if you want a drink. I understand they make a living doing this, but I felt pressured. Not that I gave into it, but the pressure made me feel uncomfortable and then I felt bad for the staff. I just wanted to relax. The last time the waiter came to my chair, he started speaking Spanish and I just nodded and smiled. These types of reviews are difficult to do because I want to be honest and informative, but I'm sure it reads rudely. Please keep in mind this review is only for the park. It has nothing to do with the excursion guides. The trails are shaded. The beach was clean. They have several vendors selling souvenirs. They also have a tequila tasting stand. The bathrooms need attention. We went in March and it was super hot. How anyone does this in July is beyond me. There is no ventilation in the restroom and it is very dark. No hooks to hang your items on while you change. This seems to be a common trend throughout Mexico. At least they had toilet seats. Costa Maya did not. Chankanaab boasts about being a eco-archaeological park and nature reserve. While it contains lush tropical gardens that a very pretty, I was expecting more from a nature reserve. I chose my excursion based on the hopes of seeing beauty and appreciate for marine life. I was sadly disappointed. To CBAP, go tell those dolphins and manatees why they have to live in a tiny unnatural tank instead of their natural habitat that borders their tiny unnatural tank. To the people possibly considering CBAP, do your research. There are plenty of places that do better with their space and truly uphold the beauty and wonder of this God given planet. I would have given this place 2 stars if not for the dolphins who have no voice to protest. read more

This place was advertised and written about as an alternative to Kuza, which is heavily marketed to cruisers. Not even close! The photos online are old and even some of the slightly more recent photos from reviews just months ago do not match what you actually experience. We went for the manatee swim. Booked directly through Chankanaab. Get there early as requested for our 10 a.m. swim and were told that despite our confirmation stating 10 a.m., we were scheduled for 2 p.m. Ummm no. Thankfully, they got us in at 10:20 (which actually took place closer to 10:40, so we were relieved. The Manatee experience was great for what it was. We learned that of the 4-5 manatees there, only one is a rescue, which is disappointing. Our instructor, a woman (don't remember her name) was soooo sweet. I felt like we spent a great amount of time with Edgar, the manatee. We pet, fed, swam with, and kissed him. I'd say it was well worth the price but them forcing you to pose and repose in an effort to sell the $75 photo package was crazy. No phones allowed. They mislead you into paying $14 to rent a raggedy, dirty locker, but when you get to the encounter area, you see there are free boxes for your belongings. After, we grabbed food and headed to explore the park and this is where things went downhill. The service in the food areas immediately by the encounter area was okay: rice (undercooked and more bland than you'd expect), two "charcuterie" options, fruit (not quite ripe or sweet enough (no mango), tortilla chips, refried beans (these were good and I don't like refried beans normally), salsa, corn tortillas, Mexican pork, and fish ceviche (actually not bad). To be included, it wasn't bad, but had I paid extra for food, I'd be underwhelmed. The service at the eating spots was good. Very attentive. Drinks were also included and avail in eating area. I stuck with the Blue Lagoon (sprite, vodka and blueberry). It was tasty but weak... UNTIL I got to the pool. HUGE SHOUTOUT to Jonathan at the pool bar who actually brought some life and vibes to the pool and whole damn park. Jonathan made the day great. He was a fantastic bartender!!! Now, for the rest of the park: wow, this place has gone downhill. I don't know if they got hit by a storm or what but the amenities are in bad shape. Have of the walkway area is not accessible and they've moved statues and photo opp spots to weird places. The lagoon looked crazy AF. The beach and snorkeling area was very laughable. It's covered in sargassum and rock and is tiny. What's worse: you have to "consume something" from a private and aggressive vendor (not included) to sit in the chairs at the tiny beach. It's this same vendor who provides the high-pressure tequila tasting. Snorkeling gear was another add-on. Ohhh, and no towels are included. You rent those, too. Honestly, outside of the encounters and pool bar, this place sucksss. Do your encounter, grab a couple drinks, then dip. Or... go to KUZA. read more

We went to the park off of a Margaritaville Cruise about a year ago. Although the park was a good experience our card was charged a fraudulent fee of $227 about a year later in July 2026 . I noticed it immediately and reported it to my credit card company and they are investigating. Be very vigilant about your credit card charges at all time. read more

The whole experience was wonderful! I did the manatees swim and it was so cool!!! Loved the interaction! The dolphins looked great also but I've come that many times so wanted something different. The whole park is beautiful with lots of cool sights! The lagoon was stunning, the water and snorkeling great. The food at the buffet was delicious! Better than our resort! The ruins were gorgeous. I'm between 4-5 stars because of the pricing which was inconsistent and everything added up quickly! That said, I expected that. But I did purchase the digital photos on advance and they included a free ride back to my hotel and a free buffet so that made it a better deal for sure and I was really excited to have all the photos when we were done so I definitely recommend that option! I did hear some people say that their Manatee ticket included admission to the park but since I did not purchase a ticket in advance I paid separately! I would absolutely recommend stopping here. I made the most wonderful friends on the excursion that I hope will be friends for life! And Christian our server in the buffet was wonderful! read more

What a fantastic place to spend the day. Departing for the cruise port we shared a ride and only paid $6 each. The entry was not bad to get in. They have many options such as a swim with dolphin, manatees, or with a snorkel guide. You can also choose to pay for all inclusive food at the buffet. We just paid the minimum and enjoyed the views and snorkeling. Everything was clean and the staff was so friendly. They were ready and available to grab us anything we needed. This is a decent spot when visiting Cozemel. It is about a $20 cab ride from the cruise port and only took about 10 minutes to get to. We had the VIP dolphin excursion which include admission to the park, swimming with the dolphins, all you can eat lunch, and unlimited drinks. Yes the drinks were watered down, but its free booze, so hey. We added on the photo package which included all the photos with the dolphin, including a family photo, time to swim with a manatee and a cab ride back to the port. It also include done photo with the sea lion that you take after the one of the few sea lion shows. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. My family enjoyed the time that we spent there. The dolphin swim lasted about 25 minutes and the manatee portion was very quick and lasted about 5. they just lined everyone up in one of the water pins and walked a manatee up and down the line. There were no pictures for that experience. They offer free lockers to secure your stuff. The trick with them though is getting them to work. You will find cubbies on the deck by the dolphin bins where you can store your shoes, because you will definitely need them to walk down there because the deck is hot, has nailheads sticking up, and lots of splinters that are ready to introduce themselves to your foot. The park has a nice pool with a swim up open bar. There is also a beach area there with sun chairs. I had no problem getting a chair. If you are doing one of the swims be sure to schedule it around the sea lion show. There are only two of those shows. One major thing that they need to fix ASAP is their boardwalk. It is in bad shape and you should defiently wear shoes when walking on it. Not just because it gets hot, but because of splinters. The place also offers a little gift market of sorts, where they have vendors selling goods and souvenirs. You will also find an ice cream vender (extra cost) here as well. The sea lion show last about 10 minutes and they also offer sea lion swims as well. Other excurinosn include scuba diving. The lunch buffet is ok. Nothing special, but I was not expecting much. They had some pasta, some potatoes, salads, nacho chips, and fajitas. If you are on a cruise ship and planning on doing this excursion I highly recommend checking the ships price for the excursion against the price of booking it on your own. I ended up saving a few hundred dollars booking the excursion on my on and was on my own time doing so. One they to keep in mind while you are there is that this is a tourist trap and they will try to up sell you for every little thing from otther activities, to photo packages, to additional pictures to souvenirs. After all, they are there to make money. All in all, we had a good time, I highly recommend checking this spot out if you get the chance. We came here to do a dolphin swim through our Royal Caribbean Cruise. Everything was booked through the cruise line. When we first got here it was a little confusing. There's a lot of little shops that will try to sell you medication and knick knacks. Just follow your tour guide so you don't get lost. They have free lockers for you to lock all your stuff in. You can't take anything with you when going out to swim with the dolphins or pet the manatees because they want to sell you their photo package. I thought our ticket only included the dolphin swim, but we were also able to chill on property. We were also able to pet a manatee, see a sea lion show, chill on the rest of the beach in loungers/hammocks and wander around on property. The ticket also included free food and drinks - house tequila and beers. The food and liquor were horrible, but it's an option if you don't want to spend extra money on food and booze. read more

Chankanaab was a beautiful place. We went there for the Royal Swim with the dolphins which was said to include the lockers and lunch. We sadly had to leave for our next excursion before we got to eat. But would have loved to have tried it out. It looked like there would have been enough to do for the whole day if we had had the time. There is a swimming area, the dolphin interaction, heard there is an area to snorkel which is beautiful, and more. Taxis sit outside in the parking lot so it can be easy for tourists to get where they need to go. My wife and I stayed at the all inclusive The Cabana Beach next to Chankanaab. Our first time enjoying the privacy, serenity & tranquility of this paradise spot yesterday. The staff were fantastic, attentive, and didn't hover over you, interrupting the relaxation. I requested an iced bucket of beer & lime while relaxing in the hammock, and they were more than happy to accommodate. The appetizers, entrées, and deserts were well thought out and very delicious. Excellent tropical drinks, too! Stepping into the water was easy, and the water was relaxing. Along the edge, there were numerous Purple Sea Fans and many small schools of fish. If you go out 20+ yards directly out from the stairs, the water is a bit warmer, and you'll see some live coral. There were a few Trigger Fish, Parrot Fish, Soldier Fish, and other types. No Eagle Rays or Turtles this time, but they are known to come by. Overall, it was a great swim and went in several times. Big kudos to Dante, Susana, and Peter (the Host) for making our stay very enjoyable and memorable. We're coming back for sure! read more

Picked the all day all inclusive with my excursion through NCL. We honestly had a great time, if you want a nice beach day or drinks by the pool it was really nice. All the staff was very kind, we enjoyed the tequila tasting but it sure came back to bite us but try the margarita in the tequila village, fair price for the experience. I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Booking directly on the Chankanaab website led us to missing our VIP Royal Dolphin swim which was supposed to be my young children's' Christmas present. We thought we were booking directly with Chankanaab since we were on their website. Turns out Cozumel Adventures was booking on their behalf. We were told and confirmed that for an extra fee they would pick us up at the Hard Rock Cafe and bring us to Chankanaab. The morning of they were confused by this and tried to dispute it even though we had all the details in their email. Our reservation was for 10am we ended up getting a taxi and making our way to Chankanaab. We arrived at the front gates at 9:50 by the time we checked in at the front and made our way to the dolphin check in counter it was 10:10. The Chankanaab employees informed us we had missed our dolphin swim time and we would need to talk to Cristian with Cozumel Adventures since they handled our booking. Again, we had thought we booked directly with Chankanaab. Cristian arrived and was absolutely no help. His only offer was for free snorkel gear rental. We had our own and didn't need that. My children are 5 and 7 and he ruined their vacation and dreams. Book with this company at your own risk. There was another family there as well that booked through Cozumel Adventures that also was having a horrible time and problems. We were here on Wed 4-12 and book through our cruise ship. We booked the Dolphin and Manatee encounter. Diego met us at the port and he is VERY good at his job. He made sure we stayed together and put us all on taxis to get us there. He was very friendly to all of us and explained what everything was . He was definitely a pleasure . I manage a resort and would hire him immediately! Give him a raise! We were booked for the early encounter so as soon as we got there we changed quickly in a very clean dressing area. There is a coed one wIth lockers (free) but there are private dressing rooms. You can also change in the restroom. It's very nice as well. The water was kind of rough with boats doing past and creating waves when we got in the area of the encounter the water was rough. I'm so glad there was a fence to hold on too. We got to spend about 2 minutes each with the dolphins. Mostly just to pose for pics . No other show or any other interaction. We did get to pet him a few times. The manatee was brought in and followed the handler around under water . They are my favorite animal. He did a couple of passes in front of us so we could pet him. The animals seem happy and well taken care of . I would like to point out that Christian that works at the buffet is a pleasure . He was very kind and made sure my drink stayed full. I made sure to tip him. The Buffet food was delicious!! Definitely try the chimichangas and the nachos! The hibiscus tea was wonderful. The beach area was very nice as well as the pool area. I will say the photographs they take are very very expensive. It was $110 bucks for 4 pictures that you download. So no printed pic. The water and views were beautiful read more

I tried to refill a water bottle and was told that I couldn't do that even though we bought a drink package that they didn't honor. They would let me have water! We visited Chankanaab on an excursion from our cruise ship. We enjoyed the snorkeling from the shore (no need to jump/climb a boat), the clean facilities, and beautiful beach. There were plenty of chairs available. Drinks were reasonably priced. Massages were available. We also saw the sea lion show. There was also a large pool, gift shops, SCUBA and some other activities that we did not have time to participate in. There was something for everyone in our family! read more

This place is great to go to if you have young kids. They have a kids beach which is outstanding. They also have a pool that has a lot of shallow areas. We actually rented cabanas right next-door at cabana Beach and had access to the park. It was $100 a day and totally worth every cent. If I were on vacation without my young child I doubt that I would think that Chankanab is worth the admission fee. But with a little one and tow and so much wildlife to see, I would definitely go if you have small children. We did do a dolphin encounter and watch the sea lion show. I'm sure that makes me a bad person in the eyes of many. My son really enjoyed the sea lion show. He got bored with the dolphins and manatees. read more

This was our fifth visit to Chankanaab, and certainly our last. The place has changed--and not in a good way. Snorkeling remains a highlight, but everything else has declined. A major change in ownership means visitors now pay a lot more for a lot less. Maintenance has fallen short, and the pandemic seems to have triggered relentless upselling from the locals. A friend had come to this beach and this was my third time in Cozumel as a port on our cruise so I didn't want to go into town but to a beach. We bought our tickets in advance and it was quick to get to, less than 10 minutes, from the port. It cost us $6 each way by cab. We had wristbands on and walked right in. We saw some of the attractions but we were headed straight to the beach. The buffet restaurant was half full when we walked by and it was around noon. We found some chairs under the umbrellas but we kept walking and found a lot more unoccupied chairs. I wasn't sure how busy it would be as there were a few cruises in and it was afternoon but glad it was not very busy. We snagged some chairs and put our towels on them. We didn't pay to snorkel or go in the water but we walked down a few of the steps towards the water and it was deep. We enjoyed the sun and walking around the beach. The server came by and gave us a menu with food and drinks. The drinks were $6, and my friend and I shared fish tacos that were $12. They were the best fish tacos that I've had with lots of flavour in the fish. The server didn't bombard us to keep asking if we wanted drinks or food. There were two musicians that came by and played us a song too and they didn't ask for a tip. There were clean washrooms and showers were close by to where we were. We stayed for 3 hours but I wish we were there longer as I would have ventured and walked around more to check out the attractions. But I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon on the beach and they also have free wifi. There wasn't a long wait to get a ride back to the port and we went into a shop before we left and they gave us a free charm. read more

prior to our cruise we prepaid for admission for my wife, son and myself. We also prepaid for the dolphin experience which was through a separate business. our ship docked at 7:00am Cozumel time. our reservation for the dolphin experience was at 11:00am. My wife thought we might be able to change ithe reservation to 10:00 so we got a cab and went to the park which didn't open until 8:00. At 8:00 the entrance staff sent us to talk to people at the Dolphin experience who sent us to visitor services in the souvenir building to see Amber. Once we spoke to her we was informed that we couldn't change our rervation and that it had been changed from 11:00 to 1:00pm due to them overbooking. We could not do the 1:00pm due to having to be back on the ship by 3:00pm and we would be cutting it close. they refused to refund our admission even though we only got to the Souvenir Shop and left. What a rancid, over priced, cesspool. Unless you are void of any desire to NOT be exploited, fought over, and hassled for every last nickle you have, DO NOT LET THEM FORCE YOU TO GO TO CHAKANAABAEXPLOITHOLE. Go somewhere that this shit hole is trying to edge out of business. Make no mistake, they're certainly trying to monopolize on tourist dollars at this godforesaken place. Fun in the sun, nice palapa huts, and exceptional snorkeling. Been to this park 3 times and loved it each time. It's a little pricey for entry, but still reasonable and a decent value. There are online codes you can use for a discount, I didn't know. Plenty of seating (chairs, huts, tables) but this is a popular spot and fills up rather quick with the cruise folks. They have snorkel gear you can rent if you don't have you're own, snorkeling here is a definite must. There are plenty of fish to keep you company while you look for the underwater statues. Sadly it seems that someone stole the Christ statue and it hasn't been replaced yet. They have zip lining which we did not do, tequila tours, sea lion show, and other activities. We laid in the sun, snorkels and drank copious amounts of beer and margaritas. They're offer opportunity to take a picture holding and iguana, parrot, and sometimes a small monkey. My kids took a great pic with the iguana printed and in a really nice frame it was about $25...not to bad. The margaritas at the margarita stand near the entrance are awesome, they're made right in front of you with fresh limes, oranges, and grape fruits. Plus they come served in a hand painted clay cup all for $8 plus tip. read more

Recently visited Cozumel with my boyfriend as a port of call and decided to go here for our day excursion. We did not have tickets in advance but there was a very friendly man selling tickets at the port for $22 each person . We took a taxi from the port to Chankanaab for $12 and was able to walk right in since we already purchased our tickets . Once inside you can purchase your additional activities such as dolphin or zip line experience. We came for snorkeling ! My boyfriend brought his own gear but I was able to rent mine for $15 for the day from one of the many vendors inside . My first snorkel broke but they were kind about this and replaced it without a problem . We got to the beach around 10 and there was plenty of beach chairs available . They had a variety of lounge chairs, covered chairs and hammocks. It never felt like other people were right on top of us . A waiter came around and was selling food and drinks . We got a couple drinks each and most were priced at $6 each . If you wanted it in a coconut it was $9. Drinks came quick and were very yummy . read more

Cool beach park. Great for families or couples. Everyone can have a great time here. $20 for the day. Make sure you get there early for prime beach chair seating. Bring your snorkel gear, beach towel, and sunscreen and you're good to go. They recommend wearing a vest to snorkel but it's not mandatory. I'm not a great swimmer and the snorkel area is pretty deep so I wore the dorky vest. We brought our own snorkel gear, but you can rent gear from them. Lockers were also available for rent as well. Food was good. American prices (a little pricey), but good. Fish tacos were excellent. Shrimp tacos, not so much. Zip lining didn't seem worth it and we didn't bother with the shows, swimming w the dolphins, or tequila tours. We chilled on the beach, snorkeled, and ate/drank. We had an awesome time and left when they closed. Next time I'm bringing an insulated tote bag and bringing my own drinks. (They don't inspect your bags). We spent a lot of money there! read more
