This is by far the most beautiful cenote i have been to in Mexico. I have visited a few, but none compare to this one. the waters blue and so clear. there is a lot of algea so definitely wear some type of water shoes whenever you visit! The entrance fee was $120 pesos which is like $6 USD. this cenote is located on the main interstate in Playa del Carmen. if you plan on visiting this cenote DO NOT BOOK a tour company because it will be very expensive. We got a taxi cab and he dropped us off at the entrance. We paid him extra for him to wait on us and return us to our airbnb.

They say this is one of the best cenotes in the area and it is not bad. You pay only a few dollars to dark and the cenote is right there. It is blue and beautiful. There's one main cenote and you can cliff jump into it, which is fun. They also have the type of fish that eat the dead skin off of your feet. It feels weird at first, but people pay an arm and a leg to get this done. Here, it's free if you want it. There are a few other smaller pools nearby, but nothing to write home about. It's worth going to one cenote while in Mexico and I recommend this one, but don't plan on staying for hours. It's more of a one hour event and you're done.

I had never heard of Cenotes (Say-NOH-Tays) before and so glad I went. If you are in Mexico near the Mayan Riviera it's a must. It's definitely something on your bucket list that you have to experience. The other Cenotes costs a bit more because it's bigger and there are guides to take you through the underwater caves, but this is a good first one to get your feet wet. The water is crystal clear! Seriously, I've never seen water so clear and pristine. We went on a very bad day though when it was on a weekend and the locals all swarmed to it, but nevertheless, it was still a great experience if you love spending time swimming and relaxing. There's also a cliff for you to jump off of. We stayed at the Barcelo Maya Resort and this was right across the street from there. You could walk, but the cars zooming by could be quite dangerous if you have kids travelling with you, so we took a longer and safer route and drove. When we went it was about $3/pp USD. Some of the locals warn you to watch your belongings and do not keep anything in sight in the car because they will break-in.

A hidden gem within Cancun. I don't believe this cenote is affiliated with any hotels, so you won't hear about it unless it's from the locals. Coming to this location was one of the highlights of my trip to Cancun. It's a spectacular place that will help clear your mind and let you relax. Less cluster fucky than most parts of Cancun, which is a huge plus. I'll be back!

Beautiful small Cenote to visit. Great for small children and people that can't swim well. I paid like $7 usd to get in and took a shared taxi outside from the resort for 15 pesos each which is around 75 cents. You can rent goggles and life jackets. They also have a snack area with bathrooms. Go early!! Starts to get busy around 12:30.

Beautiful Cenote. So much nature to see and it's so much fun to jump off the cliff into the beautiful, crisp, clean water. Refreshing!

The equipment here is in terrible condition, they rent tanks, rather than servicing and supplying their own, and I had to go through 3 tanks on my first dive to find one that sealed. They do not provide a save-a-dive kit aboard the boat, nor do they even carry simple o-rings to replace the ones on the tanks, despite it being obvious that this is a regular issue. While I had my own wetsuit, no one else in the dive group did, and the ones they provided all had large holes on the shoulders and legs. They did not have enough fins, and tried to give a brand new diver a set of fins that would have surely fallen off the minute he got into the water. I was told that there were *just* enough weights, something that they should have in plentiful supply, but the instructor had to give me two from his own BCD so that I had enough. Worst of all, the pressure gauges did not read correctly, and the incorrect information displayed on the gauge caused me to completely run out of air at depth without warning. Another couple in the group had to share air, on the way to the decompression stop, again because of a false reading on his gauge. The boat captain and crewman did the bare minimum to assist, and seemed bothered by any request to hand items down to you. I have used 2 other dive shops that have show professionalism and customer service that put this location to shame. I will never use any of the ProDive shops based on my experience this trip. Follow up: A representative from Pro Dive reached out to me and said they are working to get new equipment for this location. I also received a full refund for both my dives.

I figured they would have opened the book portion online to review before we got there, but no. When we got there the manager, Coliman, interrupted the girl at the front to tell us that the instructor (who was standing next to us) would not review the material with us all at once that we needed to go off and return when we had answered all the questions. Next, wreck diving was the only reason I chose this dive shop to the Advanced Open Water class. I informed the liason when I made the reservation this. She knew the days I was going to be there. When we got there, it was posted that wreck diving was only on Wednesdays. We arrived on Thursday. The only good part of the class was the instructor Sergio. He was relaxed and helpful. My BCD and equipment had issues but he was trying really hard to help me. I wanted to try to still my own Regulator with their BCD but the manager Coliman said it was a "policy" they could not put my equipment on theirs. I had to pay for their rental. Their equipment was frayed, and regulator dragged. This manager , Coliman, made this vacation dive much harder than it had to be. I was not allowed to take my camera on the dives since it was a class and I missed being able to take pictures of the sea turtles and octopus. We elected to go the Cenotes (fun dive to them) and we had a tech diver instructor, Kim, who was very good, I liked her a lot. She was frank and I liked that about her instructing style. I learned a lot from her. I had to make up a dive since my equipment failed and pay for it. I will not go through this dive shop in the future.

After Manuel explained it to us, it seemed a good option to try out. (A Cenote, pronounced say-no-tay is akin to an underwater river dive, fresh water vs. salt water) Manuel's instructions and patience with us were exemplary. After never having dived before, I was able to complete the entire tour of the cenote and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Manuel stayed right with me and made sure I was okay for the entire dive. We both thoroughly enjoyed the half day trip and would recommend it to anyone. Limbert was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the history of Mexico on the drive down. Both were quite close to Playa Del Carmen/ Playacar so the longest drive was around thirty minutes. I got some great photos and at the end of the trip we were sent a Google Drive of the photos that Limbert had taken.

We were sold "Sail[ing] from Puerto Aventuras to the second largest coral reef system in the world on a luxury 65-foot catamaran. Swim among hundreds of tropical fish species, turtles, whale sharks, and fabulous coral reefs on this guided snorkeling adventure. While you swim, a meal will be prepared on board. Enjoy an exquisite lobster or New York strip steak with a full open bar including mixed drinks, beer, margaritas, soda and purified water." The last few days had been windy and the seas very rough. That morning was no different. We decided to at least check in at the lobby and see what the plan was. At that point, even if the vendor didn't cancel, we considered eating the cost of the excursion and staying safe and happy at the hotel. Weather is unpredictable but especially so in the tropics. At the lobby, we were informed that the boat would still go out but snorkeling was a 50-50 chance. I'm an avid diver and I adore sailing so I was hoping at least a boat ride was still possible, if not snorkeling. We risked it, erring on the side of adventure. About 15 minutes later, upon exiting the shuttle, we were immediately informed that the boat would NOT be going out NOR would snorkeling be an option. The plan was, instead, to take us to a small bay in the harbor and let us swim. They'd open up the bar early in hopes that everyone drank too much to care. I cared. I find it highly unlikely that information about conditions changed since we left the hotel. No doubt our activities coordinator at Barceló had been misinformed to ensure the cruise wasn't cancelled. I felt duped. If I had known this info upfront, we would have just opted to stay at the hotel. No big deal. What we were sold: A catamaran ride and snorkeling adventure. What we got: A stationary booze cruise. The boat never opened a sail. They ran out of wine and other drinks. And we were stuck there FOR FOUR HOURS. We made do with what we could but the whole smoke and mirrors show was hard to swallow. What should have been the icing on the cake (lunch, bar and water slide) felt like an expensive 4-hour jail. Let me put it this way: When the crew announced that we were finally headed back to the dock, the entire boat cheered or exclaimed, "Thank god." So I wasn't the only one who felt duped.
