A couple of Mondays ago, I was driving over to Mississauga on highway 409, not too far away from my…read moreworkplace. I had the day off. I noticed a text message appear on my phone. My car takes text messages and reads them to me. This one said that all laptops worldwide were down and to not reboot them. It seemed like an ominous, suspicious scam, but maybe not. I took the next ramp off the highway, which was Islington. I do miss this area. I used to stay at the Delta. I don't know what happened, but the hotel looks like it's permanently closed. It's such a shame, as I loved staying at this hotel. Just north of this hotel is a plaza with a Walmart and Scotiabank. I pulled in and parked in front of this Dollarama. The emergency broadcast text was legitimate. It was from my employer, but it never stated that detail. I looked at the incident number in the text message and I recognized it as being an internal one. I logged on to my work e-mail on my phone and it was indeed a valid issue. Luckily, I was off from work. This broadcast text kind of ruined my not logging on to check my messages, but it would have been stressful trying to do work when you can't. Anyway, since I was parked in front of this Dollarama, I might as well go in and check it out, right? Right! This dollar store is decent. I saw mini Star Wars oven mitts that were cool. I didn't need any. If I did, I'd get the pair with R2-D2 and Grogu. I'm glad that I stopped by. I got sugar-free chocolate orange mints. I tried them when I got home and they are yummy. The candy aisle is extensive. I also needed cotton swabs. I got a package of 500. It's my first time getting them at a dollar store. I hope they are good. The phone accessories are cool. I enjoy looking at them. I also like the food and drinks aisle. I picked up a small bottle of Diet Pepsi. It's oddly priced at 87 cents. This store has self-checkout kiosks. I still like interacting with a human being. I got a nice woman who helped cash me out. She asked if I needed a bag. I didn't and saved one. I paid with my debit card. All done! I wished this woman a nice day an left with my purchases. There is plenty of parking in this plaza. I was here at around 10:30 am. It wasn't packed, but it did have a fair number of shoppers in the store. I enjoyed shopping at this Dollarama. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (317)

Staffs are willing to help you look for things. They are patient to when you forget something and you run back to get it (that's usually me). For some reason whenever I come here I find new items (why don't you take a look at the pictures I posted). I recommend coming here. There are lots of free parking spaces even on the weekends.

While the pricing has shifted…read more(most items are now $1.25 to 1.75 and some stores feature higher price points), the thrill of the hunt for budget essentials remains its primary draw. It's the perfect store for party supplies, holiday decor, greeting cards, and basic craft materials--items where quality doesn't need to be premium, but value is everything. You can stock up on small household items and basic snacks for less than anywhere else. Be prepared for potentially cluttered aisles and inconsistent stock, as these are the trade-offs for the incredible prices. However, if you shop strategically, Dollar Tree is indispensable for stretching your budget.

It looks like a small stuffed penguin until you unstuff it to use the bag. My penguin bag has a plastic clip that I attach to my purse. It broke. What to do? I thought that getting a carabiner clip would fix my minor dilemma. I needed a place to get an inexpensive one. On my way home from work, I remembered that there was a Dollar Tree. I pulled in and parked. The parking lots along this stretch of Kipling Avenue are interesting. There are plenty of long cement islands, so it gives you the feeling of weaving through an obstacle course. I parked. I was trying to check in on Yelp. I didn't see this business, so I created one. There was a car parked directly across from me, blinding me with its headlights. Once I was done creating this business and checking in on Yelp, I looked at this mini van and it had moved up next to my car. Odd. Anyway, I walked in. It's a bright, cheerful store. There were lots of Valentine's Day chocolates and cards. Cool. Glad it wasn't Easter stuff! I first saw a carabiner on a pocket flashlight. Part of me thought about getting it and dismantling the clip for my penguin bag. However, I didn't need a flashlight, so I put that away. Carabiners are located in the hardware section. I got a pack of two. Yay! The claim is that every item is $1.25. My pack of carabiners was that price. I also picked up to small snack packs of Combos. I love pretzels and cheese. Each one was $1.25. I had to wait a little bit for the cashier to come over. He was competent. You can pay by debit or cash. I paid with the latter. I'm glad that I stopped by. I found what I needed and my penguin shopping bag is securely on my purse strap again. (44)
