3.5 rounding up to 4…read more Before there was Treasure Hunt, there was Value Village. This location has been here for decades. It's in the far corner of the plaza off the northeast corner of Weston Rd and Hwy 7. It does have ample parking. I've made use of it both as a shopper, and a donater. It serves its purpose, usually. I can't speak to how large it is compared to other locations, but it is about as large as an average Costco, and looks like one. It's a pretty bare bones warehouse full of all kinds of housewares, clothing, books, seasonal items, and even watches and jewellery. I've made a few successful trips over the years. The selection of kitchen wares, clothing, and books in particular have been very good finds. I've managed to find cooking implements for extremely low prices, many of them long ago, which I still use to this day. The clothing seems a little more costly, but still good bargains. Browsing the aisles reminds me a lot of shopping at Winners, but not as bright and shiny. But the racks and racks of clothes are arranged and of such an array as reminds me of a Winners experience, where you need to dig amongst all the odds and ends. When it comes to Christmas and Halloween, you can score a lot of great finds at bargain prices, including brand new items such as wigs and kids' costumes. I've heard a lot of negative press lately about Value Village jacking up prices on new, resale items from dollar stores. I haven't yet experienced this myself, but I will certainly keep my eye out on my next trip. Check the bottoms of items for original stickers that will tell you whether overcharging. All in all, I've been glad to have successful trips, and will certainly return when I'm up for my next thrift haul.

Legends has extremely competitive pricing (Games Workshop stuff usually 20% off!) and a very nice selection of board games, comic books, cards, minatures, and geeky merch (I definitely picked up a Rainbow Dash mug on my last visit here.) If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

They are durable, and the design suits my needs and style. Over the years, I have purchased a purse, cell phone cases, and jewellery at Fossil. For the last couple of years, I am the proud owner of a hybrid smartwatch. I like that it has a classic look of a watch, but it does much more, including being able to customize your notifications and tracking your steps. I went in this store to browse. There were decent sales going on with handbags and hybrid smartwatches. I was at the smartwatch section and have been eyeing going with one for a while. Jenny, a staff member, came up to me and we chatted. She saw my hybrid smartwatch on my wrist. I said that I was exploring the next logical upgrade and asked what she recommends. The Gen 4 smartwatches are new. I like them, but I asked whether she had the Sport ones. The Sport style suits my personality more. They had just come in and she brought back three from the backroom for me too look at. They were so light compared to my hybrid smartwatch. She let me try them on. At one point, I had two on one wrist and looked like I was a watch seller on the black market. She took another look at the pink strap on my hybrid and my phone case. "You like pink!" she said. "I do," I acknowledged. "I have a pink Sport. Let me get it for you!" she exclaimed in delight. OMG. I have found my next Sport smartwatch. It screamed me. I tried it on. I saw hearts dancing around it. I promised her that I would remember to take it off and not shoplift. I am hoping that it will still be there by the time I am ready to get it. She said that she would pull strings for me to get it. I love her style! I thanked her for letting me try on these smartwatches. It was great coming here and not feeling pressured to buy anything immediately. I love the selection and roominess of this store. I also love this one staff member who made me feel comfortable and important. (135)

3.5 rounding up to 4 for some of the service…read more Mixed bag between the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: decent selection of stock. Not perfect (some items completely sold out), but a lot of stocking was happening, and I did find what I needed. Better than good: I asked a staff about burlap tree covers, and he receptively and cheerily responded with the aisle number. He actually descended his ladder and left his stocking to follow and make sure I found it. I was glad, not because I hadn't found the item, but because the labeling had some kind of error. He explained what he could, and started checking his device to see if he could make sense of the illogical shelf tag. He confirmed what the price difference for the different sizes was, and I could be sure I would get the best value for the product I wanted. The staff who handled my exchange was also polite and efficient. The bad: This is a somewhat smaller location compared to some others. Also, the merchandising doesn't always make sense. I found one model of silicone kitchen glove in one kitchen aisle, but found a bunch of others in another part of the store. The ugly: Last but not least, the staff minding the returns area was rather snarky when the gate wasn't behaving, and she had to try more than once to get it open. Overall, it's an adequate location with a nice selection of goods. The prices aren't the best, but never exorbitant, and they have regular sales and clearance items. We also take advantage of the Triangle rewards program, which yields a better return than most others. Sometimes I'll have to go to another location for a specific item, but in general, we find what we need here. I'm happy to shop here regularly.

The scan itself is very simple and can even be done with a basic $50-$60 scanner you can find at Canadian tire itself lol I was quoted $175 + tax "just to read the code", which felt quite unreasonable for such a basic diagnostic. I also mentioned that if there was a faulty part, I would have the repair done there, but I was told that would be a separate process + charge lol. At that point, I honestly questioned why I wouldn't just go straight to a dealership or another shop that provides clearer pricing and service. I ended up going Partsource, got the scan done free, within 5 minutes, and done the repair. Overall, I feel Canadian Tire is not what it used to be. I used to trust it as a convenient large retailer/garage, good selection option, but this experience changed my opinion. There are many ways to lose loyal customers, and this is one of them lol. I likely won't be going back for any car/mechanic trouble.
