It's Walmart. The location inside Scarborough Town Centre is the most convenient for us but parking can be a bit rough and it's usually very packed. Decided to drop by this location. Got everything we needed for the kiddos and didn't break the bank. This location was definitely easier to navigate through. We were in and out in no time. Employees were helpful and quick. This is probably the biggest WalMart I can recall going to, even compared to some big locations in Florida. It's huge! I've driven through towns smaller than this! What sets this location apart from others I've been to, is the produce, meat, and seafood departments being operated by Al Premium, an Asian market with a few stores in Toronto. That means you can buy a wide variety of produce here, including lots of Asian vegetables, there's a butcher shop for meats, and live seafood available. The rest of the store seems to have expanded departments as well. There's even an area to test ride bicycles! Other departments available include a dental clinic, optical, plants, and other services. If you can't find what you're looking for at this location, it probably doesn't exist! ;) read more

There's something about this location which I kind of like compared to the usual Walmart stores which I frequent. During the current time of COVID-19, I did find this store a bit more spacious, a bit more clean, and a bit more organized than what I'm used to seeing at the other stores. At the 'scan-it-yourself' check-out point, you're to wait behind 'the guideline' for an associate to direct you to a clean and sanitized terminal...unlike the other stores. The only thing that needs improvement was the dairy/egg/milk area. I avoided it and only let the wife grab what we needed from that section, because there was a bit of over-crowding and no social-distancing involved. That got me concerned and it was only mid-morning at the time. Perhaps, either they widen that space somehow - or just have an associate or two limit the amount of foot traffic during peak times in that area, like how they do at the entrance. read more

Pretty good location, variety of items, friendly service. I bought a $30 printer from here..a practical steal! Great deals on greek yogurt (3 packs of 4 for $10), a rollback on HAGGEN DAAZ ice cream! (May have spelled it wrong) and I like how they add different products a lot of the time.. Some of which I'll usually discover upon slowly browsing the aisles. They have a McDonalds, a self-checkout, washrooms, a lotto area, salon and pharmacy place. They also have a big parking lot to accommodate busier shopping days. read more

I am giving this Walmart 3.5 stars. This store is the closest one to my house. Over the years, this entire block of stores has expanded, with new ones introduced often. However, mighty Walmart has remained the same size-wise and is a fixture. The store has food, a drug store, and everything you'd expect from a Walmart. There is plenty of parking. It does get busy. I recently went here to get a bottle of vitamins. I normally go to Shoppers Drug Mart for such a small purchase, but the chain was having payment issues with its system. Instead, I came here. Many items are cheaper than you'd expect. My bottle of vitamins was much cheaper than what I would have purchased at Shoppers. The express checkout was busy, but I wasn't waiting all that long. It was a weeknight. Before this store, my closest Walmart was at Markville. I prefer coming here than fighting through a mall. (92) read more

Yeah sure, it's a Walmart so it conveniently has everything from groceries to cosmetics but since the addition of international food products and the meat section in the front right corner, this place has become a mess!! Very disorganized and with unhelpful staff. If you ever seem to be looking for something and walk towards a staff member they often try to avoid eye contact and rush away. Even better, if you do get a chance to ask where an item is, they simply pick an aisle and say if it's not there, then they don't carry it, rather than most stores where staff actually walk with you to help find items. Overall, if you know what you need to buy, it's great and has cheap prices, but for any other person I would not recommend. read more

This Walmart is way too big and way too quiet. It's probably the biggest Walmart in the GTA, and that's saying a lot... I was searching for road salt (yes I know...road salt in mid-November) in order to prepare for this upcoming winter. Unfortunately that mission failed, so I went to search other stuff instead and did manage to purchase some fuel economy items. In terms of service friendliness I found this place about average. Obviously when it comes to Walmart I'm not expecting top of the line service, but at least some acknowledgement of thank you from the cashiers...which I did get. I also got a good response when I asked the assistant manager about the road salt, she kindly said they didn't have any available...so there's that too. read more

I'm surprised that this Wal-mart supercenter didn't have any review. I like this Wal-mart as they have a huge food section, and with the addition of Chinese bakery, a full service meat counter, and a full service live fish counter, you can get everything you need under one roof. they recently reorganizing things a bit, so some times it's hard to find the stuff, and as always wal-mart doesn't have enough staff in each area for you to ask for help. (things a bit in a mess too) the line-up are a bit of a problem too, just go for the multiple counter line, they usually have 3 counter open to serve a long long line, but it would be clear in no time, as it's 12 items only special line... read more

From out of town and needed to go to a Walmart to buy some items so I found the closest one to where I was staying. I like how big the store is and there is lots to buy but the reason I am writing this review is because of the employee attitude. I don't know if it's the management or some, not all, of the staff but the two employees I interacted with were rude. My first interaction was with a lady where I asked her where the dish washing detergent was. I was looking over in the Home section of the store and didn't see it. When I asked the employee where it was she was annoyed and and almost sounded like I should know to go to the groceries section. My second interaction was with the cashier. My grandma, an elderly woman, didn't like the way her coin looked and wanted to exchange it with another one so she told the cashier. The cashier says, "I already closed the drawer and can't open it back up. Why do you people have to be so difficult?!" My family can be difficult at times and I personally think it's unreasonable to ask for another coin, but from a professional standpoint it was uncalled for that the cashier said what she said. It's poor customer service if people just go around and tell all their difficult customers how difficult they are. The lady needs self-discipline and patience. read more

Not your typical Walmart... A REAL superstore! This is not the closest Walmart nor is it the easiest to get to. But recently starting to like this Walmart because it feels like a real Superstore. Because of its location, it caters a bit more for Chinese and Indian ethnicity in terms of grocery selection. But what really impress me at this location is that it has a fresh bakery, fresh seafood, and fresh meat section in the store, and they are part of the store so you only need to check out once. The veggies are fairly fresh and seems fresher than the Chinese supermarkets at a reasonable price. The meat and selection could be better, but this is a truly a one stop shop. This Walmart is also close to my house (another Superstore - but I'm pretty sure all Walmarts are turning into Superstores now) and located in a plaza right on Steeles. The parking is huge, you'll never run out of spots. There is an Esso, LCBO, Lowe's, almost all banks (except TD) and a few food places such as All-Star Wings in the same plaza. This Walmart is fairly standard, but I usually don't come here because more people come to this Walmart as opposed to the one on ninth line. Similar to other Walmarts, the whole right side is dedicated to fresh fruits and veggies, a small bakery section (front section). The rest of it are shelves of snacks, rice, pasta, There's a row dedicated to detergents and cleaning products. In addition, there's frozen foods at the back. The entire middle section is filled with clothes! At the left front section, there's rows of medicine and like other walmarts, there's sections for toys, a gardening area (in the summer), mechanical products, paints, bikes, etc. You know why I would give this particular Walmart a four star though? BECAUSE THERE'S A CHINESE LICENSED SUPERMARKET IN HERE, WHAT?! Yea, that's right. For those who don't know this area too well, T&T on Steeles closed down and there hasn't been a big supermarket (Chinese) around here. Well, WalMart decided to partner up with AlPremium (same boss as Oriental on McCowan and Alton Towers Circle area and put together this supermarket. This Walmart is close to home, which is awesome and easy to get too. I spend way more money in this establishment than I should, but then again, Walmart is my go to for any products I need. Never had any issues as far as 'cleanliness', because it's a retail store in Scarborough?? Obviously it isn't going to be clean and tidy. Plus I typically spend less than 15 minutes in there anyways. I don't notice, and I don't care. Normally the McDonalds here is WAY more busy then the actual Walmart itself. However, during peak hours 4PM-9PM or anytime during holidays it is RAMMED. The crowd sucks here to be honest. People have zero self awareness, zero human respect or decency, and pretty much lack any politeness. Every time I come here I expect that, and just make sure I stay outta the way, because people make an effort to be in mine. The stock is good here. Normally things are stocked efficiently, the only time I've noticed the stock would be low is if there's any type of sale. People just snatch it up. I don't care for the parking, or the people. This particular Walmart is one of the two superstores in the east Markham area. The store is clean, big and as organized (or disorganized) as other Walmart stores. To best describe it, please think of it as a normal Walmart, make every section bigger and add a really big fresh seafood, meat, produce and bakery section. The most unique section of this Walmart is the fresh seafood section where it sells live, swimming fishes. I have never seen another Walmart selling live seafood (definitely not at the 2 Richmond Hill locations nor the Stouffville location). I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that many competing grocery stores in Markham sell live seafood. Parking is ample. read more

I prefer to go to this Wal-Mart though it is not the closest one to my home, as the selection is great, and I would always find what I am looking for here. Before every visit, I always check out their flyer, as they have really good deals every week. This Wal-Mart is clean and organized, and they have a wide variety of Asian snacks and foods, which I like. There are a lot of open cash registers for easy check out. Plus side is that this Walmart is fairly huge and has extensive selection of products which includes fruits and vegetables. Though most people who come here, is usually they live around the area because I really don't find the fruits and vegetables that much cheaper than the Supermarkets around the area. But if anything Walmart has it right, is the idea of one stop shopping, since these days who has the time to drive around to pick up groceries from one place and buy houseware or clothing items from another. Also another beauty of this Walmart is that that have a Walk In Clinic which I visited on several occasions with super friendly doctors on site whenever I got heavily sick. This time my experience is slightly on the down side, since I was around the area and I needed a Mop. This was the Vileda Mop which was on sale at Canadian Tire for $29.99 but didn't feel like driving out of our way to Canadian Tire to pick it up. So we thought we could exercise our right for the first time in a long while to do price matching. Same mop found here in Walmart was sold for $39.98. In searching of the mop where do one supposed to find it? Well, naturally I would walk to the household section. Got to the house hold section, and second thought was find vacuum cleaners or trash cans. Found the boat loads of Vacuum Cleaners and Trash Cans, but no mop? Tried really hard to look for a Staff, and once found a gentleman who quickly pointed to the other side of the store where he said aisle 10 or 11. So my wife and I marched to Aisle 10/11 and yup there was the Mop of what we were looking for. But found it very odd that it's next to where the Soft drinks and Bottle Water is instead of where the cleaning items are. I feel either Walmart Discover a new Life Hack "Cleaning Floors with Pepsi or Coke"!!! (I'll look for it on YouTube tonight) or the staff just decided to drop it anywhere they see space caring very little attention to how it should logically be organized. I picked up the Vileda Mop and carried it to the cashier to pay only to find out that they don't do Price Matching for Canadian Tire and pointing to the printed paper signage tapped to her booth with the date September 28th with the list of "approved stores" (Canadian Tire is not on the list). A bit shocked and confused, I kindly question confirming with her that this date is September 09th and asked to please double check with manager. She stepped away, talked to another staffer walked back, then came back flipped up the tapped paper underneath which lists out the same listing of approved stores without the date. Did I end up buying it? Answer is no since it was pretty obvious they don't want my business. In the end, I did end up buying the Vileda Mop from another Big Box Store Next to Walmart which would be deemed Nameless and they Price Match it no questions asked. What's even better is that the boxes don't look like it's been beatened or refunded like a million times. Pros: This place is spacious and Clean, very good lighting and a good variety of products being sold here compared to other Walmarts more south and central in Toronto. Truely cater to the Suburbs near the South East Markham area. Who don't want to drive miles to pick up different products in different places. So I gave 2 stars simply because of the following reasons 1) Feeling like this Walmart is Slightly under staff for it's size since it took a while to look for someone to ask for help. 2) A Mop is a Household Item, don't understand the logic of why they place it half way the other side of the store where the grocery products are? 3) Feels like a Very Shady Price Matching Policy considering I just went online and they didn't really limits on what stores they approved Price matching. I mean, it's like every other Walmart. The store has everything you need, there's even a walk in clinic there. The store is relatively clean, not big messes or piles. The staff here are fine, not rude and can help when you ask. You can get everything you need here, as it's a Walmart. This Walmart is mor spaced out than other Walmart's that are in malls such as the STC one. Not bad, has a McDonalds too. read more

Pretty big selections of items, however staff atexpress checkout lines do not enforce the maximum 10 items which makes it a usual line.

This is my go to location they have everything the other Walmart closer to me doesn't. Also I find that items are cheaper at this location vs the others. Sales are always good, and they restock frequently. The children sections are huge really good to look around and find some deals if you're a parent. Located in a really continent plaza. Living 5 mins away from Walmart is soooo awesome! It makes my life so much easier. They have fresh bread every day. The rotisserie section and bakery makes any last minute get together and party less stressful. Just make a 10 minute pit stop when people surprise u by coming over for a UFC fight or a game night. Fresh fruits and veggies are so great. They have specials from time to time so you can stock up. Customer service is super! read more
