That being said, this Dollarama has staff who are helpful and generally friendly. The store is very well organized and clean, and the prices are great. I found some $2 pots that were basically identical to what Home Depot was selling for $9. When you come here, remember that Dollarama only takes cash or debit. Parking is street parking only, but there is (at present) no charge for street parking on Sundays or after 6 pm.

For a moment, I thought this could be the new XS Cargo--a Canadian discount chain that closed down several years ago and I have longed for the return of. I was aware that many Amazon products that are returned get sold to liquidators, so I entered the store with expectations of pretty competitive pricing. What I found was a pretty broad collection of cheaper-quality products at, what seemed like retail or near-retail prices. In spite of signage assuring me otherwise, the discounts that I saw just quite didn't rationalize the purchase price for me. After all, some of these products may even be defective Amazon returns and the savings just weren't substantial enough to take that risk. While the products may indeed be acquired through a liquidation sale, or Amazon palette auction model, the price that consumers like me see doesn't quite reflect that. It feels like someone's making a handsome markup here.

I have been…read moreon the hunt for some simple RCA stereo cables and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to locate them nowadays. I took a chance with Price Wars (awesome name by the way) and sure enough they had exactly what I was looking for... And they were only a dollar each! They also had other out-dated analog goodies such as VHS tapes and blank audio cassettes! I managed to also grab something I was looking for lately which is blank CD-Rs -- something that still costs WAY too much at most electronic shops, but I managed to grab a package of 20 for only six dollars! I just hope my purchases are functional. The majority of these items had a nice layer of dust on them. In fact, quite a ridiculous amount of dust to be honest. You're definitely going to want to wash your hands if you're handling the Price War merchandise. Hard to believe this place sells underwear!

Last time I had come looking for ear plugs but there weren't any. This time I called ahead to ask…read moreif they carried lint brushes and they said they did. It was not a wasted trip. There weren't any staff around (except at the cash) to ask where the lint brushes would be so I started at one end of the store in search for them and lucky for me they were at the end of that aisle. If I had the time I'd browse all the aisles to see what they offer. There's lots of goodies right before the cash and it wasn't easy resisting the call of hickory sticks and chips but I made it though okay. The store is located on the east side of the building and up a set of escalators from the second floor. Don't make the mistake of taking a set of escalators from the second floor when entering from the west side of the building because that set of escalators goes straight to the fourth floor.

A couple of Mondays ago, I was driving over to Mississauga on highway 409, not too far away from my…read moreworkplace. I had the day off. I noticed a text message appear on my phone. My car takes text messages and reads them to me. This one said that all laptops worldwide were down and to not reboot them. It seemed like an ominous, suspicious scam, but maybe not. I took the next ramp off the highway, which was Islington. I do miss this area. I used to stay at the Delta. I don't know what happened, but the hotel looks like it's permanently closed. It's such a shame, as I loved staying at this hotel. Just north of this hotel is a plaza with a Walmart and Scotiabank. I pulled in and parked in front of this Dollarama. The emergency broadcast text was legitimate. It was from my employer, but it never stated that detail. I looked at the incident number in the text message and I recognized it as being an internal one. I logged on to my work e-mail on my phone and it was indeed a valid issue. Luckily, I was off from work. This broadcast text kind of ruined my not logging on to check my messages, but it would have been stressful trying to do work when you can't. Anyway, since I was parked in front of this Dollarama, I might as well go in and check it out, right? Right! This dollar store is decent. I saw mini Star Wars oven mitts that were cool. I didn't need any. If I did, I'd get the pair with R2-D2 and Grogu. I'm glad that I stopped by. I got sugar-free chocolate orange mints. I tried them when I got home and they are yummy. The candy aisle is extensive. I also needed cotton swabs. I got a package of 500. It's my first time getting them at a dollar store. I hope they are good. The phone accessories are cool. I enjoy looking at them. I also like the food and drinks aisle. I picked up a small bottle of Diet Pepsi. It's oddly priced at 87 cents. This store has self-checkout kiosks. I still like interacting with a human being. I got a nice woman who helped cash me out. She asked if I needed a bag. I didn't and saved one. I paid with my debit card. All done! I wished this woman a nice day an left with my purchases. There is plenty of parking in this plaza. I was here at around 10:30 am. It wasn't packed, but it did have a fair number of shoppers in the store. I enjoyed shopping at this Dollarama. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (317)

It's been a while since I have been at this location, especially since I moved away years ago. But…read morewhenever I come here. I'm never disappointed. Staffs are willing to help you look for things. They are patient to when you forget something and you run back to get it (that's usually me). For some reason whenever I come here I find new items (why don't you take a look at the pictures I posted). I recommend coming here. There are lots of free parking spaces even on the weekends.
