I first discovered Uncle Terry's from the Ex. From their name and branding it gives an impression…read morethat they've been around for a while (give me a bit of Honest Ed's feel, I don't know why) but it's actually been about 2 years and this location near Kensington Market being their newest. When you come in, it does give a slight attic smell, which I don't mind. They told me they usually restock on Thursdays and the other location by Sterling Road usually carries even more inventory. I purchased a shiatsu massager and back up Aukey earphones that were new in package from the Ex. However, the earphones didn't work. The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same. Though they might offer tax off discounts with cash at the Ex but not at the store.

However as my go to Rabba and my experience over the years there were great employees who were always very social and provided great customer service and knowledgeable about their tobacco/vape products. I don't see many anymore of my favourites and I feel like customer service has dropped. Darcy is still there and one of my favourites who had always been charismatic and talkative and helped me find things in their store. Brad was a totally amazing dude. Besides his knowledge of helping me find my shopping products; he really helped me quit smoking and switch over to vaping and honestly by this point I'm glad to say I've gotten over my addiction. Haven't seen him in a while but did personally want to tell him how great of a worker he is and that he was very knowledgeable in vape products and literally benefitted me in my everyday nicotine addiction Abdullah who I'm not sure if he runs the store is really nice to customers and very polite. He was very understanding more than a few times when I was short on money in purchasing groceries and honestly he has such a kind heart. The hot food counter serving pizza slices, sandwiches, wings and other dishes is great for lunch, and reasonably priced. The deli counter has lots of interesting cheeses and meats and there's also a good selection of beers. Staff generally are friendly and helpful, whether you go to one of the cashiers or self-checkout, they're there to help. Despite being surrounded by a multitude of condo high-rises, I've never found the store to be overtly packed with customers. It's good for the location.

I was a bit blown away by the selection of products and the variety of products at this location. they had 5-6 coolers of kombucha all scattered throughout the store. in my travels I was able to find some ice cream that I can't find at my local grocery store, some cheese curds imported from quebec(YEAH BUDDY!) and some other kind of dessert. this location has a fully stocked seafood section with live fish and lobster, as well as a bakery and deli counter. looks maybe deceiving from the outside, but this location is definitely the best in the neighborhood of mimico. this location is serviced by the 501 queen streetcar and the 66B bus im not sure about the parking situation in respect to payment or not? lots of options above or below ground though! no complaints about this metro!

I ordered a birthday bouquet and the sales girl didn't even bother to advise me on the color…read morescheme. I had picked one main blue aluminum balloon, two white balloons and two gray balloons, but by the time air was put into them, they were almost all white balloons and didn't go with the bouquet. I had to add a blue balloon to add some pop for colour. When I got home, I noticed a balloon had a 'Mr. & Mrs' on it which didn't go with my birthday balloons. The sales girl obviously noticed that, but couldn't be bothered to tell me of my mistake in picking that balloon . And after paying almost $16 for liquid filling and helium for all the balloons, not even 24 hours later all of them except for the aluminum balloon were deflated to the floor. I figured the loose balloons they sold are old and therefore leaks. If you bought the prepackaged silver foil balloons they would last, as mine did. I will never go back there again.
