I have been…read moreon the hunt for some simple RCA stereo cables and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to locate them nowadays. I took a chance with Price Wars (awesome name by the way) and sure enough they had exactly what I was looking for... And they were only a dollar each! They also had other out-dated analog goodies such as VHS tapes and blank audio cassettes! I managed to also grab something I was looking for lately which is blank CD-Rs -- something that still costs WAY too much at most electronic shops, but I managed to grab a package of 20 for only six dollars! I just hope my purchases are functional. The majority of these items had a nice layer of dust on them. In fact, quite a ridiculous amount of dust to be honest. You're definitely going to want to wash your hands if you're handling the Price War merchandise. Hard to believe this place sells underwear!

I first discovered Uncle Terry's from the Ex. From their name and branding it gives an impression…read morethat they've been around for a while (give me a bit of Honest Ed's feel, I don't know why) but it's actually been about 2 years and this location near Kensington Market being their newest. When you come in, it does give a slight attic smell, which I don't mind. They told me they usually restock on Thursdays and the other location by Sterling Road usually carries even more inventory. I purchased a shiatsu massager and back up Aukey earphones that were new in package from the Ex. However, the earphones didn't work. The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same. Though they might offer tax off discounts with cash at the Ex but not at the store.

Wanted to buy some Ben and Jerry's ice cream and luckily it was on sale ($4.99). They didn't have too many flavours though unfortunately -- only vanilla, strawberry jammin', cherry garcia, and churro. The cashier was fast and efficient. Absolutely my favourite Rabba. They have their own bakery (always having fresh croissants/muffins…read moreetc) in the morning as well as subway and a brand new Tim Hortons. However as my go to Rabba and my experience over the years there were great employees who were always very social and provided great customer service and knowledgeable about their tobacco/vape products. I don't see many anymore of my favourites and I feel like customer service has dropped. Darcy is still there and one of my favourites who had always been charismatic and talkative and helped me find things in their store. Brad was a totally amazing dude. Besides his knowledge of helping me find my shopping products; he really helped me quit smoking and switch over to vaping and honestly by this point I'm glad to say I've gotten over my addiction. Haven't seen him in a while but did personally want to tell him how great of a worker he is and that he was very knowledgeable in vape products and literally benefitted me in my everyday nicotine addiction Abdullah who I'm not sure if he runs the store is really nice to customers and very polite. He was very understanding more than a few times when I was short on money in purchasing groceries and honestly he has such a kind heart. I can't recall the bakery department employees but all are so friendly and nice to me when I want to buy something in their department. Also! That sweet lady who works at the Sushi Shop. She's such a sweet lady and very generous in letting me sample different types of sushi's (pre covid times) and even sometimes applies a 30% discount. And that's just a great plus cuz I love sushi :) PLEASE READ BELOW I love this place because of all these reasons but these new employees and rarely when I shop/visit overnight. They're not so friendly and don't provide much customer service. Those 3 Rabba employees kept me coming back and that the lady at the Sushi Department :) I don't want to lower the review score but right now honestly I'd rate it a 3.5/5. I don't see Darcy, Brad nor the sushi girl much, but Abdullah is the one always satisfying my experience. These new workers, with no disrespect, should really work on customer service because essentially ones experience and having recurring shoppers/customers is essential

It's a Metro, so beware, items can be overpriced or certainly more expensive than over "value…read morebranded" supermarkets. Nevertheless, there are plenty of great multi-buy offers, and/or Airmiles rewards for many items. The hot food counter serving pizza slices, sandwiches, wings and other dishes is great for lunch, and reasonably priced. The deli counter has lots of interesting cheeses and meats and there's also a good selection of beers. Staff generally are friendly and helpful, whether you go to one of the cashiers or self-checkout, they're there to help. Despite being surrounded by a multitude of condo high-rises, I've never found the store to be overtly packed with customers. It's good for the location.

I was a bit blown away by the selection of products and the variety of products at this location. they had 5-6 coolers of kombucha all scattered throughout the store. in my travels I was able to find some ice cream that I can't find at my local grocery store, some cheese curds imported from quebec(YEAH BUDDY!) and some other kind of dessert. this location has a fully stocked seafood section with live fish and lobster, as well as a bakery and deli counter. looks maybe deceiving from the outside, but this location is definitely the best in the neighborhood of mimico. this location is serviced by the 501 queen streetcar and the 66B bus im not sure about the parking situation in respect to payment or not? lots of options above or below ground though! no complaints about this metro!

I did a search and found this Dollarama roughly seven minutes away from where I was. I drove over there. The drive was fine. This Dollarama is in a plaza anchored by Sobeys and LCBO. This store is between PetValu on the left and Pizza Pizza on the right. I spotted a parking spot steps away from the main entrance. I backed into the spot and then headed inside. It's a spacious store. Greeting me were six-pack cases of Pepsi mini varieties, six different Doritos flavours, and packages of Haribo gummies. I knew that I had entered a decent dollar store. I like getting canned goods from Dollarama. They are decent, especially when you are running out of groceries and can raid your pantry instead. I ended up with pasta sauce, Chef Boyardee (comforting and I like that you can crack these cans open without any tools), and luncheon meat. I also got a package of spaghettini. I ended up making a huge pot of spaghetti with garlic and herb sauce. It turned out nicely and I didn't break the bank. I like that this place had two different brands of lemon juice. Seeing lemon juice at a dollar store wasn't a thing two years ago. I was elated to find some exciting, cool finds to me. The first one was small escargots in cans. I have never made escargots. I am inspired to give it a try in future. I last had some in Winnipeg at a fancy restaurant several years ago. They were so good, likely because it had more butter than anything. I was also pleased that this store had Viva Puffs and Dare cookies with the cream filling. I love the former with raspberry and marshmallow filling. Although this store didn't have the Dare coconut cream cookies, it had lemon and fudge flavours that I also love. So cheap and yummy! This store ranks high on my list of decent Dollarama stores. The only issue was using the self-checkout kiosk and getting a weird error that I needed to remove an item at the kiosk and I had nothing. There weren't any humans at the regular checkout area, so you were forced to use the kiosks. However, I had the most helpful and nice young female staffer get rid of this error. I thanked her. I liked my brief time at this store. I'll need to keep my eyes peeled for escargots at other stores. I know that my local one does not carry them, so you may see me back here soon when I am ready to try my hand preparing them. (19)

Large location with a large selection especially of cat products and excellent stock too. Lots of budget conscious items, however, some higher end items, but some though not as many as locations closer to wealthier areas. Good number of self check-out stations but usually at least two cashiers available, as this one seems to be a combination of teenagers and seniors. A short to no wait from lining up to exiting the store. A little less clean and tidy than many stores of this chain I have been to, although maybe it's just my high standards. Worth a visit if you're there anyway.

I ordered a birthday bouquet and the sales girl didn't even bother to advise me on the color…read morescheme. I had picked one main blue aluminum balloon, two white balloons and two gray balloons, but by the time air was put into them, they were almost all white balloons and didn't go with the bouquet. I had to add a blue balloon to add some pop for colour. When I got home, I noticed a balloon had a 'Mr. & Mrs' on it which didn't go with my birthday balloons. The sales girl obviously noticed that, but couldn't be bothered to tell me of my mistake in picking that balloon . And after paying almost $16 for liquid filling and helium for all the balloons, not even 24 hours later all of them except for the aluminum balloon were deflated to the floor. I figured the loose balloons they sold are old and therefore leaks. If you bought the prepackaged silver foil balloons they would last, as mine did. I will never go back there again.
