I didn't keep the receipt as I planned on keeping it as I knew I would use it too. I thought I was a good deal at this outlet but be careful as they are crooks. I had noticed the box was open, but since everything was there, I didn't worry and I happily wrapped it up for Christmas. As life gets busy, my boyfriend hasn't had time to use the massager so I went to try and charge it for him last night and that's when I realized that it was completely the wrong charger for the machine. I guess that someone else returned it, the store didn't check if everything was returned correctly, they put it back on the shelf, and I purchased it. Of course, this is very upsetting as it's not cheap and this was my big present for my boyfriend so now I have a massager that I cannot use in any way. I went back to the store to see if they can help me. I expressed this to the owner's wife and the other lady at the store, explaining everything in a nice way (my mother always taught me that you get more with honey.) In this case, the owner's wife thought it was OK to raise her voice at me and talk to me the entire way in a loud, reprimanding voice and repeating that I did not have a receipt. I understand I don't have a receipt but for a store to accept something returned prior that was incomplete and then turn around to resell it is unacceptable. I initially agreed to leave the massager there and come back tomorrow to see if they found another charger as the other lady was helpful. But since I didn't have the receipt, I thought maybe I should go back and ask the owner's wife just to write something that I left it there as proof for me. Right when I walked back in, I tried calmly asking her this, with a smile, and she continued to raise her voice at me, and tell me that she was going to call the cops that I was attacking her. Well, the owner can look at the camera and see the truth, that the way his wife treats his customers is completely rude and unacceptable. Maybe I could understand if I went in there screaming and such, but in the manner that I came in and explain led my situation, there was no reason for her loud and rude behavior when they were the ones that did not check their returned merchandise. This is not the way to treat anyone, let alone a customer. Store #23060

4/5 Shopping at…read morePlato's Closet in Boca Raton is like going on a treasure hunt--and that's half the fun. You walk in never knowing what gems you'll uncover, but because it's central Boca, the odds are good. My kids see this as a fun activity to do with me. I've found everything from Lululemon and Alo Yoga to Brandy Melville, Zara, and even the occasional Coach piece. On a good day, it feels like scoring nice finds for slightly more than thrift-store prices. As a buyer, it's great: tons of variety, constantly changing inventory, and the thrill of the hunt. If you like the satisfaction of stumbling across something you didn't even know you needed, this is your place. I've found a few dresses that were perfect for events. As a seller, though... it's a different story. The process itself is super easy--you drop off your bags, come back before closing, and they pay you cash for what they pick. But you definitely need to manage your expectations. Being offered a dollar two for Lululemon leggings (yes, really) is kind of humbling. And depending on who's working the buy counter that day, the vibe can be hit or miss. A friendly experience feels great; an unfriendly one feels like you and your clothes are being judged by a panel of fashion gatekeepers. Still, when they do take an item or two, it's nice to walk out with cash in hand. Just don't expect them to love everything you schlepped in. Free parking available. Many items were barely worn once or new with tags. Not sure what superiority complex these girls have here. They can take a 2002 style sparkly tank and sell it for $22, but won't purchase name brand jeans, shorts, dresses, etc. My sister sold her clothes here for YEARS and the store always had great items with name brands and some even designer. Store definitely just looks like a goodwill now with the smell to match. And they just threw my clothes back in my box overflowing by everywhere like it was just tomorrow's trash. It was a disaster and completely uncalled for. I guess that's what I get for bringing my things to a place like this. Won't ever be back nor ever recommend to anyone. Really sad & pathetic.
