The absolute worst customer service I've encountered in quite a while. The clerk checking people out was incredibly rude to the customers not once, not twice, but the entire time she stood there checking people out. What is the problem at this store?! The isles are always an absolute mess, theres never enough checkers to accomodate the customers, 80% of the checkers are rude and hate their job obviously. One day I came in and bought $79 of items, gave Chris the checker a $100 bill and he exploded on me! Had a complete meltdown that I was "emptying his drawer" with the $100 bill, so you dont have a $20 and a $1 dollar bill to give back to me dude???? Common sense goes a long way! I come here at least once a week and its gets worse and worse! Maybe pay your employees more and get quality employees instead of ones with no customer service skills! I definitely agree with the comments here. I like to come to the dollar store when I know I need to buy something specific, and I know I can find it for a lower price. But there is always one register open, which is very frustrating. The times I have been their staff has treated me friendly, and that's why I am giving them three stars for being there and working hard. Sadly, their staff doesn't last a long time working there. So sad to see what's happened to one of my favorite stores! Went there yesterday for my usual things around 9:30am and the store was an absolute mess..most of the shelves empty..stacks of unopened boxes with only one employee at the Register...no other employees stocking shelves...very long line. I've noticed over past several months since they went to $1.25 and changed the carts so you can't take them out of the store it has been gradually going downhill. Yesterday was the worst I've ever seen it. Maybe corporate will read these reviews and send someone to the store to find out what's going on. They definitely need a manager that can hire and train employees and keep the shelves stocked. They also need more then one cashier at a time. the dollar tree advertises everything in their store as $1.25 but they have other items at a higher price and don't tell the customers that certain items are more, stop false advertising or change your store name to dollar tree plus the economy is bad enough without stores not selling as they advertise!! read more

Today I went to this store that used to be a $1.00 store but now is a $1.25 store. Oh well, but after waiting for over five minutes in line to get to the one of two registers open Phoenix told me my package of coffee filters was $1.36. I gave him a ten dollar bill and he asked if I needed a receipt. I said no and he matter of factly handed me $8.00 back without an explanation. I looked at the one $5 and three $1's and said I don't think so. He told me he didn't have any change... 1. In not asking for a receipt are they skimming off the top? 2. If I had asked for a receipt, would I have gotten my change? 3. Phoenix' actions just netted them an extra $.64 profit on a $1.25 item... 4. Did he pocket it since there was no receipt? 5. Did the store pocket it instead. While all this went on, a short Latino employee pushed out a long stock wagon that was stacked half again as high as her. I'm not sure how she got it all on there but it teetered menacingly as she slowly pushed it past the registers. Maybe all the boxes were light but still posed a hazard besides the cluttered isles and messy shelves. From now on, I don't know if this store is locally owned but from now on, I'll wait and go to Walmart! read more

Its a fun store, lots of new items that if not bought now will not be available in the future. Eggs, lunch meats other items are good. What is wrong is that this store sells toys. Uncontrollable children, dumped by their mothers in the toy section are allowed to scatter and play with items all over the store. Its unkempt. I have complained in writing to management but have not seen an improvement. The employees work hard and fast. But the store needs more discipline of its slob customers. read more

A Big Lots for cheapskates. When you are sooooo poor that the local thrift shop is outt'a your price range, Come here. Truth in advertising. Everything is $1. And there are 10,000's of items. Simply remarkable. And some good finds. Like 1/2 gallon liquid laundry detergent, $1. 6 foot USB cable, $1. Lots of kid toys. Lots of party paper products. Store is big, bright and clean. read more

This review is for amazing service that we received by our cashier, Paula! Today, I stopped in with my boyfriend for a quick visit to get standard sized envelopes. I went over to the usual school supplies area where they would be stocked but they only had the smaller size available. It wasn't a big deal, so we wandered around the store to see what other things that would spark our interest. We ended up finding Jones Soda in my boyfriend's favorite flavor, Green Apple. That was a real treat for him because he hasn't had that since before his early teens LOL We snagged a few bottles and found other items for the house. Once we got up to Paula's register, she was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. Two shopping baskets later, she heard we were only there for the standard sized envelopes and said that they did have some in stock and that she would get a box for us from the stock room. It was so pleasant to have an associate not brush us off and say whatever, and to actually have her listen and be proactive. It really was something so small but I just wanted to say thank you again to Paula! read more

The Dollar Tree is hidden in a mission-style strip mall, along with a taqueria, a Mexican market, a dentist's office, and a very small movie theater. It's got an odd&convoluted entry, along with an odd&convoluted parking lot. This particular Dollar Tree is larger on the inside than the outside. It seems to have a larger selection than the Napa one. They're currently carrying lots of Valentine's Day&St. Patrick's Day decor (so one can wear the green spending little green) One can stock up on lots of the basics. Pros- Everything is a $1 Some unique selections, like lobster sliders, seafood, Jamaican empanadas(?), Larry the Cable Guy biscuits&gravy(???) They have a good selection of toys&activity books for the younger set Cons- The aisles get blocked easily. Since today was apparently delivery day, lots of the stock hadn't been shelved, so it was everywhere, sometimes blocking items like milk. It was a mess. Only one cash register open(??) Still, I'd go back. It's a deal in the Sonoma Valley. read more

their hula hoops outside are bent so badly they're broken, the perfume bottles missing caps. They said the bathroom was out of order not had no sign up, meaning they probably just were too lazy to clean it and said that as a cop-out. The workers ignored me when I asked questions. 2 stars for the amount of items they carry. read more

This store can get crowded and it seems like most of the time they don't have enough employees working. A few workers are obviously not happy working there but there are a some friendly ones. I usually find some random awesome item for $1. Today, I found a micro USB adaptor. Score! read more

Ok I give this store 1 star. My last visit the other day was awful. Every isle had stuff everywhere, lots of shelves empty. The rugs in this store look like they were from the dumps! Huge stains! How can the manager of this store even be called a Manager. There were only 2 employees, one cashier w/sunglasses and the other talking away, not doing much of anything. I did tell the cashier how bad things looked in this store. Her response was that she understood but manager had been cutting hours to only 4 hrs per shift!! Shame on you DollarTree!! read more
