They carry clothing, jewelry, shoes, collectibles, home decor, housewares, furniture, antiques, artwork, books, records....and who knows what else you will find. They have a great selection and very well organized, so many items I would have purchased too....BUT I would rather pay a third of the price and buy them brand new. Prices are astronomically high for used, donated items. Some of the staff were polite while others acted as if they could not see or hear us. If you are looking to spend way too much money on mediocre stuff this is your place, otherwise maybe shop elsewhere. read more

Check your items before leaving. The amount of stuff they have stained or with holes as seen here and still want to charge $20 for is ridiculous. After reading through many of the reviews, there were two points that stuck out. Lots of folks acknowledge the helpfulness of the staff. The negative point, was that the prices are more like consignment pricing than thrift pricing. In other words, why are the prices so high on clothing if it is donated? On my visit they had clothes on racks outside for a dollar on up. The front half of the store is dedicated towards clothing and the rear half of the store is dedicated to everything else. There are three dressing rooms at the halfway point. They have a very large media section where you can pick up vinyl records for just a dollar apiece. Lots of CDs, VHS tapes and books, more than you'll find it any Goodwill. There's lots of collectibles in the form of video games, glassware, jewelry, accessories, and memorabilia. However, I do have to side with those who said the prices are all over the place and many prices are not in line with thrift shop pricing. It is offset by their tag color sale prices which certainly helps. So yes, you can find some deals here, but there are many items that are well above what Goodwill would ask. That's what keeps them from hitting the four star range in my book. Cash and credit, no refunds and no public bathroom. These 10 informative photos should at least get you in the door. read more

Prices are all over the place... some so high it's not thrift, but other items seem to be thrifty. Large variety in items offered (housewares, clothes, shoes, etc.), a bit cluttered, so make sure you have enough time to filter. Racks are also overly crowded so it can be hard to look. Kids clothes are not racked, just tossed in a bin (disappointing). Staff are kind of inattentive. Do like that they offer the color tag discounts. And there are $1 sale racks outside. read more

They have such a good selection of everything, I can always find something I "need"! The people who own it and work there are some of the kindest people, helpful, and not pushy. The gentleman at the donation drop-off area was superb! Very helpful, efficient and polite. But he staff in the store act like they couldn't be bothered. I have to say this. This thrift store quite frankly not a FAIR store. The people running this place are wonderful and they do great things. But my god I've seen some shady things with their item pricing. Certain things are even higher than if you purchased the same item at the store. In one case I kid you not, there was an inside tag from the store on a bag for $7.95 yet they had it priced at $22. That is not OK. I understand it is a nonprofit and everything, but charging full price for old navy and designer items is crazy. Overall too expensive, not worth it and disappointing. Maybe just stick to the sales if you must go there. read more

Stopped by to donate some items & decided to go inside, I found some nice tees on the dollar rack & a cute mini guitar amp that was half the price of what it costs new. Only complaint is many of their items are a tad overpriced & some of those overpriced brand items are not in "like new" condition. I have found some great deals before but it's really hit or miss. This was a destination on my recent day trip to Sonoma Square. A bit off the beaten path. When I pulled into the parking lot I could feel myself getting excited, as it truly looked like what I think of as a cool Thrift Store. I wasn't disappointed. Dollar rack outside was worth a look. Prices inside very reasonable, lot's on sale. The housewares, books, knick knacks in the back was the best part of this store for me. Very well organized, great prices and lots of selection. A little bit of everything for everyone. Staff very nice. Tons and tons of clothes, so many, I was a bit overwhelmed by it all, so I spent more time in the back of the store. This place was close to my hotel so we stopped by before heading back home. The racks outside are all ONE DOLLAR and while I initially didn't have much luck looking through everything, while I was browsing a sales associate came out with an armful of dresses that all happened to be my size! Scored a $1 banana republic floral dress in excellent condition. What a steal! I had a chance to browse inside as well and found most items affordable at $5-15, though there are some brand names that run a bit higher. I also made out with a handful of notions which was fun! I definitely recommend giving this place a stop if you're in the area. Mostly modern brands but very well priced. I'm a fan! read more

This place is a rare gem, just like the owner , Anna . My husband and I have traveled domestically and internationally , and by far , this boutique thrift store is the cleanest, organized , and have the best selections of jewelry, home goods, clothing , shoes, purses , vintage items and more ! and for reasonable prices we've ever encountered. My husband found a cashmere overcoat from Italy for $22. I purchased a beautiful beaded vintage gold purse for $30( typically $100elsewhere) . I also purchased 6 unique and high end plate settings in emerald color for $1 a piece . Also, bought a Dooney and Burke handbag, practically brand new for $35!! and so much more great items for a steal ! We will travel 8 hours by car just to visit this place again !!! For a store that receives its merchandise entirely from donations, they sure charge insane prices. Tops from fast fashion brands like Shein are being sold for $18- more than they even cost new. Basic denim jackets are priced crazy high. Brands like Zara will be marked as "high end" and sell in the boutique section for $70. It's like the owner does little to no research on brands and their prices. I think they forgot they're a THRIFT STORE- so much for helping the community. To top it off, they are currently selling a counterfeit Louis Vuitton wallet for $150! Knowingly selling replicas is illegal, lol. Skip this and check out the other thrift stores in town. I'd recommend Republic of Thrift or Church Mouse for great finds at way more reasonable prices. read more

I cannot sing enough praises about this place! Outside there are racks of clothes that are ONE DOLLAR. ONE! I scored a cute pair of vintage shorts, a pair of army green pants, and a pencil skirt- all a dollar each. Inside there are a ton of beautiful gems, including a rack of discount coats, where I found a Giorgio Armani coat for $20- beautiful condition, what a steal! I didn't end up getting it because it was too small, but I did find a gorgeous heavy nude trench coat for $5! Also found a pair of Fabletics joggers. Their back area is a little more messy than the front, but there are so many gems! Found a Star Wars trilogy set, super good condition! If I lived closer I would definitely come all the time! read more

They have lots of great items! Very well organized with lots of treasures to dig through. I appreciate that they're a non profit thrift store. I found a couple of items on the $1 rack! Patagonia shorts and a Ministry of Supply shirt! A lot of items inside the store were marked up pretty heavily (for example $25 everlane jeans) but they seem to always have good sales and other items that are fairly priced. read more

Every review with three stars or less is about the same thing. Prices. Consignment or thrift store (some can argue it's the same thing) the prices should be reasonable. Thrift stores used to be places where people could go to find cheap but good items. Like handed down family clothes. At one point, I found the same figurine here for $35 as opposed to $3 at one of the others in town. Insane prices and it sucks because the staff is friendly. Aside from the crazy retail prices (vintage jackets for $40+), I bought a set of Pokemon Card binders. I bought them because I was told one of them was filled (front to back) with cards. It ended up having 3 to 4 pages of cards. Not even a quarter filled. This was upsetting because I had asked to look through it prior and was told no. How can someone buy something without the ability to take a look? Regardless, I bought it. Came back after opening it at my card (which is silly) and expressed that it wasn't okay. I was told I would get a discount on my next purchases. Never got it. This place is more expensive than Goodwill. That should tell you something. I'm at thrift stores everyday and this place is definitely price gouging. For the more antique items, I'm okay with, but everything else is insane. I did two stars because the owner is nice and might not have a clue. The staff is also very nice. The items sold are nice, but you can find them on eBay for 10 times less. EM. read more

This has been a favorite thrift store for years, but something has changed in the past few months. Prices look more like consignment than thrift - but they operate by donations. Jean jacket? $38. I'm disappointed and I still appreciate the $1 racks outside, but otherwise it's not really worth a drive over here any more. It's no longer a hunt for a hidden treasure that's affordable. I love this thrift shop! In many ways, I feel like they have run this shop like a well curated consignment shop, which is just lovely. They have a wonderful inventory of high-end designer items (i.e., Chanel, Celine, Valentino, Escada, Prada) and other higher end brands too (i.e., Free People, Ted Baker, Sevens, Paige). And thanks to the color-coded discounts, I was able to score some Missoni and St. John at a great price. The sales staff are all very friendly and helpful. Great customer service- friendly folks- great finds- best thrift store ever! I came here today with my Mom on a little shopping trip, looking for some diamonds in the rough, and boy did we find some great stuff! My mom has been here many times and always raves about how great this thrift store is. I can voice my opinion now and say that this store is an absolute Gem. There are many nice things here if you spend a little while looking through the racks. Also the store owner is wonderful! She is the nicest woman of any store I've been to in a long time . I'm very happy we came here today. I found so many things that I walked away with two full bags of clothes. My mom also found a few "diamonds"! This "thrift" store has the highest prices that I've ever encountered. I have been coming here for a few years now and it recently changed as far as pricing goes. The people are friendly & helpful but I go to thrift stores to find good deals at reasonable prices. You'll find no such deals here. An 8.5x11 framed picture should not cost $25.00. Do yourself a favor and go to Church Mouse on Hwy 12 instead. read more

The service is nice enough and would be 4.5 to 5 stars for that, but beware of some of the used items with retail prices [very upsetting!]. Study the discount board tag color explanation carefully, Thought I was getting 50% to 70% off the tag colors, but forgot to notice the discounts only were for certain types (like 'clothing'), nor think fast enough to calculate when the items were rung up. Checking online after the fact, I see I could have bought brand new items online that were literally a few dollars to a few cents more; with guarantee of operation. At least the net proceeds are donated to international and local charities to ultimately help children :-l I will shop there again, as the place is clean and items can be very nice with good prices, but really have to be wary of these non-guaranteed items with possible retail prices and always question the quality as; 'all sales are final'. read more

I loved Bon Marche, but they have changed drastically. They have brought in a new "kid" who is a nice person but sheeesh I am sure he is responsible for the prices being unreasonably high. This is a thrift store, where the items are donated for free, and the proceeds go to a good cause, but the US is going through a hardship as well. If I wanted to pay top prices (I can no longer afford) I will go to a regular store and buy it new. Going to thrift stores is a form of therapy for me and a wonderful distraction from the craziness of this world.......Most all the thrifts has raised their prices but Bon Marché is over the top. Is it better to sell many items at a fair to low price, or sell just a few that are way overpriced? The place is jammed packed and their measly sale days aren't worth it anymore. No, Bon Marché is not longer on my map. Also gossiping even if you feel it is justified is best left unsaid or saved for the back room. read more

I think the owners must have forgotten that these items have been "donated" and therefore they should take that into consideration when pricing the items. We were passing by from Quaryhill Botanical Garden and decided to stop in Sonoma because we have never been in that area. This store is organized and clean. I found a nice set of tea cups and saucers for a nice price. I read from another review that there is another showroom, however, we completely missed it and don't know how!! My girlfriend and I love Bon Marche! Very friendly staff, very organized sales floor, my only gripe is the staggered dressing room walls, I'm 6'2 and I could peak over at my girlfriend from the two other dressing rooms, I had to make sure nobody tall came in lol. Awesome prices and they have very frequent sales, I snagged a Christian Dior necktie for 2 dollars, a Murano necktie for 2 dollars and a polo shirt for one of my friends for, you guessed it, 2 dollars. My girlfriend got a Victorias Secret pajama shirt for 3 dollars as well! Their sales benefit charity which is always great. I will be back! I didn't even visit the housewares section which is the whole back half of the building but I will next time just to see. read more

This store was a big disappointment! I came to Sonoma to see the historical CA Mission. I decided to check out this thrift store for some local bargains. I drove out of town to see the store, missing out on another attraction that closed at 5 pm, and found the store to be a huge let down. The store sits in a parking lot with no shade at 100F temps in July. The sun beats down on the glass windows. Inside, there is no air conditioning, so it is hot, musty, and unpleasant to shop. The racks of used clothing are not separated by size!!! This means you have to hunt down each label and search for a size on it. After half a rack of this waste of time, I gave up! The clothes also looked very seedy, nowhere near as nice as Goodwill or Salvation Army. They were grouped by color and type, not size. Near the front door were some china sets. There was a nice set but priced at $120. Ouch! Again, this is not a bargain. Front counter had some jewelry which was way overpriced. Shell necklace for $25! The jewelry selection was very poor and very overpriced. The back room contained bric-a-brac items. Every single item was overpriced and absolute rubbish! I have found curb side items with better quality on trash day than this inventory. The service was not nice. The lady at the counter hustled everyone out at 5 mins before 5 pm. She was brusque and overbearing with shoppers, not at all helpful. The non-profit aim of this business venture is noble. They help people in Rwanda. This is all well and good, but one can help Rwandans a lot more if this place was run like a proper business and not a garage sale of leftover junk items from the previous day. Items should be priced realistically. They are donations. The prices are higher than retail stores and definitely higher than Goodwill. This store is way out of town, so should be worth the drive! Do not waste your time here. You are better off finding your local Goodwill or Salvation Army than shopping at this depressing store. read more
