I find myself coming here at minimum once a month. This isn't the largest Dollar Tree in the area but it's one of the best. I've been coming here for for about 10 years and each and every time I come here the location is clean, tidy, organized, has great displays and very nice staff. It never seems to be too crowded and they are always in stock with the items I need. This location is perfect to get everything you need from the Themed birthday parties, holiday home decor, baby showers, cleaning supplies, bath and toiletries, etc. The area surrounding the Dollar Tree is not the best area. It is NOT dangerous but it can appear that way. The area is a tad run down, they always seem to be doing some kind of construction, new stores move in and out, etc. do not let this steer you away from enjoying the pleasures of this Dollar Tree! Huge variety of goodies you can get. I came here to grab some things for a movie we are filming and was able to find what I need, minus this hard to find screw for some equipment, I was in and out in no time. They have locked baskets but some hidden around that doesn't have the locking system. The staff was very friendly but the wait the semi long. But most dollar tree locations will have you waiting in line because who doesn't like a deal. This will be the one I visit when in town read more

I've been to plenty of Dollar Tree locations but this one is probably one of the worst ones. This location is a mess! Items were off the shelves and on the floor and it was just chaos. Also, it doesn't help that the store is located in a seedy looking plaza. I guess this is still a better alternative to the 99 Cents store nearby but that's not saying much. read more

I went into this store a few minutes ago with my backpack. Did not know they had a no backpack policy. As I went into the store one of the cashiers went on the microphone and yelled out to the entire store "excuse me! You need to leave your backpack at the register!" When I realized she was talking to me I was so embarrassed! The whole store was looking at me including customers! I never felt so embarrassed in my life! I walked out of the store in shame. A couple of minutes later I went back in and told the girl I was hard of hearing and told her I didn't hear her when I walked in. She gave me a reply of "okay whatever"! I appreciate all customer service employees who are assisting clients during this time however on countless occasions Ive seen staff here speak in condescending and rude tone of voice to customers. While I understand its difficult to put up with the general public I dont believe that being condescending and rude or humiliating a customer are the correct approach. Yes, its true we all need to pay bills but at the same time no one is forcing anyone to go to work. If they are in fear for their lives there is an option. If the employees are bitter and hate their jobs maybe this isnt the place for them to work at anymore. No one should be subjected to speech that comes across as verbally abusive or aggressive. I generally came here for fig newtons since they're four bucks at Safeway, but heck, I ended up here for an hour looking at things. Everything is a1.00 you will find useful items especially if your crafty person. They got glue sticks for 20 pieces in a bag for 1.00 beat that price unless you stole it. It's a dollar store! So you can't go in here expecting to have a roll out of a red carpet and nordstrom customer service. Down side of shopping here its next door to a bar, when the people from the bar have had to much to drink they go next door to the dollar store and shop this can be funny or scary to watch depending on the temprament of the intoxicated individual. This store closes early do to the bar Also there are a few homeless people camped in front of this store and shops in the store. Aint nothing liek looking for a bargain for your self and being asked if you could spare a dollar. Nice to have one in the neighborhood finally, it recently opened in the space formerly used by Savers at the corner of San Carlos and Bascom. It is the typical Dollar Tree merchandise wise, the store is well organized and spacious in addition to having enough parking in front of the store. Only downside is some of the folks that loiter around the parking lot and sidewalk to the left of the store, but they've been there even before Dollar Tree opened, so I won't count that against Dollar Tree. read more

This new dollar tree opened up a few months ago in the old Savers location. It is filled with great items (all from China mind you), including stationary, food, beverages, toys and holiday items. Great for cards, batteries and cheap plastic home items, it is open 7 days a week. Sometimes you can find real great items here. Burbank is a poorer area, so this store is giving 99 cents only a run for their money. and it's good to have 2 dollar stores close by in case one runs out of batteries, cookies=you can run to the other. The cashier with the sharpie eyebrows& short hair is the rudest person. I was standing in line while a customer in front of me was trying to exchange a product because it was expired and she literally yelled at him in front of all the customers saying she he was bothering her & couldn't help him and to get out of her face. you must be real miserable making minimum-wage , maybe if you excelled your customer service skills you wouldn't be stuck at dollar tree at 30 years old. The lady that assisted us was helpful and greeted us when we walked in. I appreciate you for working during this time. I know we all still have bills to pay so for some of us it's not an option but to come in to work. There was a customer who decided to throw a fit because she couldn't take the cart out after the worker politely told her it needs to stay within the store. Instead the lady decided to continue to throw her bags in the cart while staring her in the eyes as she's being told it needs to stay indoors. She then proceeded to throw her fit and claim she'll talk to the manager because the worker told her more than once. These workers are literally away from home risking their health to assist people. There's no need to treat a worker with disrespect because you can't have something your way. I'm writing this review for the worker. She handled the situation amazing and held her composure. If you're going to throw a fit because you can't listen. Maybe someone else should shop for your birthday balloons. read more

I find that Marleen the store ( assistant) Manager makes shopping here Totally worthwhile . In fact she has the location of every single item at the top of her head and makes sure you have a complete market basket . She runs a register alone at times at 'Warp'. Speed - F-22 Raptor Take note , you now have F-Marleen to give you a run for the shopping money sky high . Every time I am here , she is engaged in recovering the store . Running the register, restocking . Working with customers and employees in an unassuming understated fashion - low key , high efficiency with "after - burners on '. ' She is kind , thoughtful and respectful with all . On my recent visit Barbara on the register was super helpful too . You have a great employee in Marleen , and great potential in Barbara . If you live in this area, this is the best dollar store to go to. Yes, parking is horrible. Yes, there are homeless people who will wander through the store and sit outside. Yes, you will wait in line forever. But, the prices are better than the 99 cent store (which is a joke of a name, since a lot of their stuff costs more), which has even worse parking and even worse customer lines, and more narrow aisles. At least at this store, you know that everything you pick up will be a dollar. No surprises at the register. And you can find lots of amazing stuff for a dollar. One of my favorite regular purchases is the jar of mushroom slices that come from Poland. They're great. Buy them all the time. Also, thin spaghetti - 2 pounds for a dollar. Tonight I bought a frozen bag of stir fry veggies for a buck. If you don't want to wait in a line when you buy your stuff, I'm not even sure where you could go. Other places will be faster, but you still won't be the only person in line - and it will cost you a lot more. So, just know that you'll be parking in a parking lot that also has customers for nasty adult clothes and toys, and a bar that looks like it might be a strip club, and you'll have to wait in line. If you aren't willing to do that to get amazing deals, then this isn't the place for you. I live close and shop here a couple times a week. I just don't go when I'm in a hurry. And I have my secret parking spot, so I don't usually have to deal with parking madness. Don't be a wuss. You're getting stuff for a dollar that Macy's will charge you $10 for. If you love your dollars more than the need to be seen somewhere cool (and paying for it), shop here. Oh yeah, and who goes to the bathroom in dollar stores? I'm not surprised it's gross, with all of the shady characters they probably have to let use it. But, I never go to the bathroom in random stores. I've shopped at plenty of Dollar Trees over the past several years, however, this is the only one that I refuse to ever come back to. The store was an absolute mess. There was stuff all over the floor, the shelves were in total disarray, the overall appearance of the store was awful. The worst part about this was the bathroom. I went in with my two year old looking for party supplies for her up coming birthday, and of course, she had to go pee. Took her into the bathroom and immediately noticed how disgusting it was. The floors hadn't been swept or mopped in who knows how long, there was no running water in the sink (makes you wonder how employees are washing their hands), the non-handicap stall didn't have a toilet seat, the handicap stall was equally disgusting with a pile of crumpled and nasty looking toilet seat covers sitting piled up in the corner next to the toilet... I asked my daughter if she could wait to go to the bathroom, but of course she couldn't. I literally cradled her in my arms and held her above the toilet just so she wouldn't have to actually touch it. Now as previously stated, there was no running water for the sink, so we couldn't even wash our hands after using the facilities... I have half a mind to contact the city over this... read more

I have never been to such a dirty and poorly ran dollar tree. I would like to start by saying I shop weekly at dollar trees in my area but never have I encountered such rude employees during any of my visits as I have today. The store was filthy and in complete chaos as my son made his way in excitement to the Easter section he began to run I as an extremely strict parent began to discipline him when the sales person went viral on the PA not only yelling at my child but then began to discipline me as a parent. I fully understand some children might run wild in stores but this was not the case nor is my child one who is allowed to do that. This is the Dollar Tree closest to my home so I have been there a few times. My young son now refuses to go there because there are so many scary homeless people. Additionally, there is a sex store and a scummy bar in the same shopping center. You can imagine the types of people hanging around and shopping in there. It's frustrating to be solicited for money while shopping in the store. The store is always dirty and disorganized. I know the stuff is only a dollar, but it's not worth it to go there. If I could give them negative starts I would... I used to come here after work just to get a couple stuff every once in a while. But today I had the worst service EVER. I went I to get some supplies I took my siblings since they wanted to look at stuff. As we were entering the store a CUSTOMER was getting yelled at by a lady named SHANTEL. After I got my items and as I was about to head to the register a lady named shantel made a announcement that the store was not a play ground and to be responsible of the kids.... which I understand but there is a way to say it. Anyway we were with a 4, 6, and 9 year old and they asked for a small ballon on a stick I said yes.
