My wife and I stopped by this Dollar Tree store because she wanted to buy some birthday cards. We were in the area so it was just convenient for us. They only had one cashier working so the checkout line was long when we walked inside. We parked in the public parking lot across the street which was almost filled up. The store is very out of date and wasn't organized well. My wife found the birthday card area but they didn't have much. This dollar store was not bad at all. They already have Halloween decorations up and other accessories. We stopped by looking for birthday themed decorations, bags, etc. The store was well organized and I found other items that I needed along the way. Dollar stores offer gift cards for a lot of different places, it really is a one stop shop for gifting needs. Only one cashier on the floor but the line was not long and we were assisted pretty quickly otherwise. I went to this location today (12/22/2020) and there was a man that was not wearing a mask. I asked one of the employees if they could please ask him to wear one and they said, "management does not allow us to ask customers to wear masks." I will not be returning to this store for the time being for safety reasons. This man could have coughed, sneezed, been asymptomatic and infected another person who's doing their part. For those of you in the Sylmar/ San Fernando area, we all know that famous dollar tree on the corners of San Fernando and Brand. It's literally been there forever. Overtime it's been progressively getting worse and worse and today this is how just one of the Isles look. These pictures do not do any justice. Not sure who is to blame allowing it to get that bad, either the customers, employees or the owner's. Either way, it's gross. To top it off, there's always only ONE register open. The staff I've met there is amazing. I've been coming here since I was a kid and they've never once been rude to me. My only issue is the customers. There's a constant huge mess In several aisles that I know the staff cleans up, but people decide not to. I went in to make an EXCHANGE, not a RETURN an exchange and the lady who worked their named Claudia (who when I walked in the store was standing by the registers chit-chatting with another worker) told me without a receipt I can not make an exchange, Okay I said but i just need an exchange, no nothing she could do for me without a receipt. I was pretty upset considering I have made exchanges before without a receipt with no problem so long as it was an exchange. The CUSTOMER SERVICE here SUCKS. I always have a bad experience with the people who work here are rude, the store is ALWAYS messy and boxes are always CROWDING THE AISLES. When asked if someone else could open another register, Estella the only open register rolled her eyes and answered someone was coming and that we had to be patient. First of all their are short on people knowing dang well that Saturday's is very. Yay and everyone wants to buy balloons. Estella or Stella's attitude cannot be like that when she's helping customers. This is not ok. Very nasty for a discount store Me and two of my friends just got out of class and headed to the dollar tree to go and buy some "Gamer food" which is just doritos and soda. We also like to walk around the store as we know they restock every Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately this was also the day only two employees (it was about 12 or 1 in the afternoon) were working meaning they would get very suspicious beacuse we were taking our time looking at some cheap toys to buy or off brand foods to eat and they couldn't see us everywere we go.While we were walking we went to the one corner of the store because its more quiet to look at what we were going to buy. I was pooking through my backpack for my wallet because it was my turn to pay for the day.But i made a mistake of leaning my backpack on a base to look for my wallet and so my friend looked through their backpacks as they saw i couldn't find my wallet so when the other worker who was working with the best cashier at the store Karla passed by she instantly assumed we were shoplifting. She yells at us with a almost indian accsent and looks through our backpack. Unfortunately my friend of black heritage and of darker skin was the first to be searched and because he had lots of caned soda and chips from a school party she said she was going to call the cops on him if ever comes back to the store and if the rest of us dont buy something today she'll ban us too but made the dumbest mistake of saying she knows we've done this before but it makes me wonder if we didnt shop lift and she knows their are people shoplifing why is she getting mad at us if she could of done something to prevent these situations but now i know I will never return to this particular dollar tree as long as she is working their. read more

I i could give negative stars i would. I love dollar tree but this location needs better staff honestly they are the rudest employees ever. If you don't like your job get out and stay home and be rude and disrespectful to your family but not your customers. So today September 4 around 7:50-8pm I walked in and the first thing I hear is one of the employees scream at at customer telling to stop and leave what she didn't want in its place(screaming at her) the lady got scared and put her head down and to mention the customer was and elderly lady.
