Ya pick out the the body parts with tweezers and try not to light the nose? $5 which was down from the discounted price of $10. The Easter baskets and stuffing I bought to load up as presents? Free. The dozen crayola colored pencils to add to those baskets? 50 cents each. The big screen TV's and some other things I saw were over priced but the lady said they would entertain all offers if they are reasonable. I mean, they had air hoses next to garden planters and straps and good grief! They simply carry a lot of random shite. Did I mention circular saw blades? Yep, they had those too. Flying Pig Thrift is staffed primarily by volunteers and everyone is beyond kind. Community resources are available onsite via a bulletin board and the shop supports 3 main non-profit groups. Within the dressing area room, there was a flyer supporting mental health resources and I smiled when I saw it. There are a wide variety of items that shift seasonally and frequently. Items are fairly priced and there are often sales, half price item days and even a permanent sale section in the back. I was really excited to score a denim button up with funky colorful bird designs, a cute yellow bee kind sweatshirt along with a black Nike top. In addition to clothes, there are shoes, cards, jewelry, some handcrafted art, home decor, hospital scrubs, board games, records, magazines and more. Thank you Flying Pig Thrift! However, there are some items mixed in that I have no idea how they make it through the selection process (bleach stains, tears, worn out, etc). I recommend looking closely at every clothing piece before purchasing. Pricing is all over the place, it's mostly good, but sometimes it doesn't make sense to pay $20 for a pre-owned cardigan (even if it is nice-looking). However, there's enough deals to keep me coming back. I haven't had problems with service. My rule is to be kind and they'll generally be kind back, and they haven't been unkind (just the general attitude that comes with having to deal with working retail). As for consignment, I've consigned there a few times, and have been surprised how some of my items aren't selected, especially considering how I've found worse items being sold. I guess it's all about stock from reading other reviews? Still, a bit disappointing. I'd give my consignment experience 3 stars. NO public bathrooms. But there are a lot of neighboring businesses that have bathrooms for you to use if needed (like a Starbucks about a block away) Parking: free parking lot.
