I love love love me a good discount! I mean who doesn't!?! I was very excited to see there was a new DT opening up. Store is located on the corner of Meadowview and Freeport next to Les Schwab tire shop . Plenty of parking surrounding the store. There is a DT the next block over but they were not sure if it was closing or not. Mask are required when you shop so don't forget your accessory. Place was nicely organized and almost fully stocked. I do hope its stays that way. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant at the time of check out. They also have a clear protector screen between you and the cashier clerk. Didnt see any extra carts(maybe all were taken) but there were plenty of hand baskets. Can't wait to find an excuse to come back and browse for decorations lol

The employees were nice but jeez this store is a disaster!! Stuff EVERYWHERE. Nothing in order. It's like looking through the bins at a yard sale. Never again.

My husband and I had purchased two rolling storage carts for our black and yellow tubs (found just…read moreabout everywhere at this point). We were slow to assemble them and once done, we realized that we should have purchased a few more. The store we originally bought them from no longer had them, but my husband found them at Heroic. We were able to buy 4 more at Heroic for what 2 would have cost at the original store. We found time to assemble these quickly just in case parts were missing. Three of the four boxes appeared to have never been open (all parts still in original packaging, factory sealed, etc). The fourth appeared to have been partially assembled, customer changed mind, and put back in the box. We were concerned that pieces might be missing, but all parts were inside. If you are heading to Heroic, it helps to know what you are looking for and you need to be observant of what you are buying. Staff was friendly and there was a restroom for customers, which helped since this location is in an industrial area. A tip: my husband was able to find that the shelving was at this Heroic location because they post videos on social media. Just be aware, stock changes frequently so when you see something, go as soon as you can before it's gone.

Then you get past the security door, and there are small aisles with lots of clutter. Almost has the GoodWill outlet feel. Too much junk with insanely high prices. A lot of the items I price checked with the Walmart and Amazon app and was shocked at how high the prices were at this location. The heat and there being no cool air inside made it a horrible experience, so I left the store without buying anything. I've heard this place is good for cheaper furniture. So, if you're looking for that, then this may be the place for you. However, if you're looking for deals on other items, maybe shop somewhere else.

When you walk in there is a sign on the door that says if an item doesn't have a tag then you can't buy it. And there is a security guard at the front door. I found lots of good deals. The most expensive item I bought was a winter coat for $17.23. It was in a size small and it fit perfect. It has a mickey mouse motif and mickey ears attached. I found a Las Vegas Raiders jersey, boys XL, which fit me perfect $12.92. It was new with out tags. I also found a SF Giants T Shirt that looked new. I found some other black tops, long and short sleeve. I found the cutest red minnie mouse sweatshirt but it was too short, too back because it was perfect. They also have lots of more expensive items mixed in. Such as Kings and Giants Jerseys. All well over $35. Compared to the teams stores it's still a good deal, but out of my price range for this shopping spree. These items are cheaper at the Goodwill Bootique in downtown Sacramento. I know because I've purchased several jerseys there. Everything is well organized by size and type of merchandise. They have long racks of clothing and a good variety of sizes. They have a rack of short sleeve tops, another rack of long sleeve tops, dresses, formal dresses, jackets, athletic tops, ect. Everything is so well sorted. They have colored tags on the merchandise. Each day they have different sales depending on the color of the tags 25%, 50%, and 75%. I only had a couple of the 25% off items. For those 2 items I saved $5.07. So for 5 items I paid $46.31. On average $9.26 each. Not a bad day Thrifting. Checkout is all self-serve. It's quite odd, but they have a lot of registers and someone helping out. They graciously took my coat and found a tag on it without me asking, which was great because I didn't even see it. I did see it on the Raiders jersey I bought and they removed that after I scanned it in to pay for it. They also have some new merchandise by the entrance of the store, those are not so good deals.

The freezer aisles haven't changed, but all the dried and pantry foods have been rearranged to better locations and things seem easier to find now. It's great, and the store looks bigger somehow. I noticed quite a lot of spring gardening tools are out and they're solid built. Might need to grab me a rake next time. There's still plenty of veggie starts for those who haven't planted or want to try to grow some veggies this spring/summer. I found the snack I was looking for, but only 1 bag of it and man that's not good, it means they're getting wiped out all the time for this item. There was plenty of ice cream as usual, including Little Debbie brand which is a new thing. Those were only $1-2 I forget exactly but we passed bc they don't seem healthy or real but hey maybe for a treat next time. I added pics so you can know what to look for. There were some better brands but my freezer is full right now so we didn't have room for more pints of ice cream. Next time!

I still remember with shock and awe the day I first went into a Marshall's in the 6th grade and…read morediscovered I could actually wear a ladies size 5 shoe. I had been forced to wear a pair of ugly orthopedic shoes for children for months when I was told this was the only pair that would fit me at Stasi's Children's Shoe store. Liars! That day I got three pairs of stylish and discounted shoes in my new adult size. Thanks, mom! I tell you this to remind you that back in the day you could not pick out your own shoes to try on, you had to go to a shoe store where a shoe salesperson would measure your feet and go to the back to get shoes for you to try on. So Marshall's entered my world that day, and shopping was never the same! I have always sought out a Marshall's where I live and this location in the Pocket area of south Sacramento is a gem. They have a consistently well curated selection of shoes, clothing, cosmetics, personal care, and home goods. They have a pretty extensive pet section, too as well as seasonal decor and furniture. To be fair, sometimes they are in a restock mode or things are really picked over, but such is the nature of bargain stores. You may not always find exactly what you need here, but you'll be able to be in the ballpark. Marshall's has more designer and higher end brands than Ross, (though you can't knock a good Ross find, you just have to search more). When my sister visits she and I usually hit this Marshall's and can easily spend a couple hours here. This store is always busy and even though the lines get long, they have a top notch checkout crew who get you taken care of. They finally fixed the air conditioning so it's much nicer for staff and shoppers. Dressing rooms are nice and you can bring in 12 items. Ask me how I know. Ps there a back parking lot.

Even the cutest thing to buy is in their Tea or Coffee section. I love the rare teas. I also love coming here out of all the Marshalls in the Sacramento region. They are always loaded with more choices.

After I declined a shopping basket, she approached me again, insisted that I place the store's wicker basket inside a shopping basket, and then dumped my items into the basket without my permission in front of other customers. The interaction was embarrassing and made me feel singled out and treated with suspicion rather than as a customer. As a Black woman, the repeated scrutiny left me feeling racially profiled and unwelcome. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I later called the store to obtain the employee's name or ID number so I could accurately report the incident to corporate, the employee refused to provide her name or identifying information. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I hope management thoroughly reviews this matter.
