I came to Ross to take a look at sweaters and dresses, and spent some time looking through the clothes. I had some items to try on and went to the fitting room at the back only to be redirected to the two temporary fitting rooms at the front of the store. As I headed that direction, there was a sign saying that those were closed, directing me to the back of the store. There is no staff available besides the cashiers who are tending to a very long line, but I was able to cut in for a quick second and ask one of the cashiers if all the fitting rooms in the store were closed, to what she replied that is correct. It seems very strange to be a store that has a ton of clothing as part of what you sell and have no fitting rooms open for no relevant reason. The store never has any workers on the floor to answer questions and everything tends to look picked over every time I go in. It is quite surprising to me that it remains open in the Brier Creek shopping center.

I was in and out after finding my essentials without difficulty. There was no line at self checkout. I hardly even go into the store anymore because you can do pickup orders in the Target app for free. I no longer buy clothes at Target (specifically this Target because it's the closest one) because the clothing items are never organized and the selection seems poor. The rest of the areas of the store seem fine. However, if I were shopping here for clothes, I would give it 1-2 stars. The clothing section looks like it was hit by a tornado.

During my visit, an employee named Nagawan made me feel very uncomfortable while I was using the self-checkout. She watched my boyfriend and me very closely throughout the entire transaction, even though I was visibly scanning and paying for all of my items. While I understand that employees are responsible for monitoring the self-checkout area, the level of attention directed toward us felt excessive and singled us out. What made the experience more concerning was that I observed her interacting warmly with another customer while appearing much less suspicious of them, then immediately returning her focus to watching us. From my perspective, the difference in treatment was noticeable and left me feeling unwelcome. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Security measures are important, but they should be applied consistently and in a way that doesn't make customers feel targeted. I hope Target will remind its employees that professionalism, respect, and equal treatment of all customers are essential to providing a positive shopping experience.

So inconvenient--we had to drive over to the bank to get some cash. Their policy also seems to work against them in that there was a huge line to the register because it takes longer counting out change than just swiping a card... They do have a bunch of stuff here for very very cheap. The clothes were all in disarray though, so I avoided that...and the cashier lady informed the customer in front of us that they don't have a maternity section..it's all just scattered in with regular clothes..so I can imagine how frustrating that'd be.. I did like the non-clothing selection though. Books for 99 cents? Heck yes! We also picked up some halloween decor for less than 10 bucks. To sum it up: messy clothing store, very cheap finds, long long line, and get some cash.

I brought my clothes to the register and handed the cashier the three hangers from the regularly priced clothing. I also explained that the remaining items had come from the bins. She responded, "Well, not everything in the bins is from the bins," and said customers sometimes put regular merchandise there. Then she pulled out a hoodie and told me it had to be charged at the regular price. The problem is that I personally watched an employee put that exact hoodie into the bin. I told her this, and she still insisted that it did not belong there. That is completely unfair. Customers should not be expected to somehow know that an item placed into the bins by an employee will suddenly be treated as regularly priced at checkout. You cannot change the rules after someone has already spent time shopping. I left extremely angry and feeling like I was being treated as though I had done something wrong. There used to be a really nice employee here who was kind and made shopping at this location enjoyable. That was not my experience today. The Goodwill near Lynn Road and Glenwood Avenue is a much better place to shop, and its prices are not nearly as ridiculous as this location's.

I absolutely love donating to the Durham Rescue Mission as they make it super easy and the donations go to a good cause. There is a drive thru bay in the back in which you just pull up and then a team of guys unload the car for you. They are always super nice and it could not be any easier.
