This store is pretty big inside; you would never know it by looking at it from outside. It is filled with treasures both big and small. Like any antique store (or like most), it is a bit crowded with items. Personally, I like that. You really are 'hunting' for treasures here. Yesterday I found this beautiful trinket on the floor of a booth...I would have never found it had I been in a rush. I highly recommend you take your time here. Google reviewers seem more critical of Hunt & Gather and its staff...but personally I had a very different experience. On Google, people wrote that staff was following them, being rude, and that this place was overpriced. Now...your mileage may vary...but I found the staff to be extremely kind. They would check in on me a couple times just to see if I needed help, but largely let me do my own hunting in peace. I think some items are certainly pricey and I can't quite understand why, but by and large I found the prices to be competitive. For example, you can get an entire Noritake china set (with 12 settings!) for $450. Anywhere else this could go easily for $700+. You can buy some dupes at HomeGoods for sure, but HomeGoods aint that cheap -- and I'd argue some of the pieces here are priced even more competitively than HomeGoods. I bought 3 chinoiserie vases/jars yesterday (at ~$30 a pop) and am soooo enamored by them. All in all, I'd recommend you swing by especially if you're furnishing, or refurnishing, your home. There are some really nice things here....and I think I may come by every now and then just to see what's in stock!

You move volume -- you don't run off your customers with stale inventory and a back shelf full of high dollar items that sit there for months until they get marked down to a reasonable number. Cons: The music. They play a very limited selection of "Christian" music that is usually just pop-music ripoffs with the redundant lyrics. The staff can *sometimes* be hard to tolerate. I do understand that they put up with A LOT of crazy, but I've had to overhear some pretty borderline racist things about "immigrants" over the last couple of years. Remember ladies, when you're preaching to the choir outside of of the congregation, some people might not appreciate overhearing you recite some of your conservative media talking points. Had very highly expectations that I would be treated with courteous customer service and at least get acknowledge when we walked in. When we walked in we did not get acknowledged. Nor did someone come up to ask if I need assistance or help with finding something. Another customer came in, they where treated very differently then how we did. The younger lady at the cash register and the older female just looked at us. The younger lady was creeping behind me and felt very intimidated and uncomfortable. That's when we decided to leave. Never have I encountered such experience.
