~Journal Entry for Thursday, February 22nd, the Year is 2024... You know.... I thought that I had already crafted a stellar review for this Dollar Store Shop, but alas ;) , I have not... I was here again today & realized that the photo area of Yelp's Business' Listings showed less than 20 photos I believe. I took a count once returning home to get settled in & began to transfer this shops' photography's to my desktop computer... I counted 70 photo's, but I think I may have been downloading them swiftly, unbenounced to me, as I noted some double prints uploaded, which I removed swiftly... And I noticed several photo's didn't download and "stick" to the download area of the Businesses Business Profile... I'll be working on that, here-and-there until I get it corrected but for now, there are plenty of photos showcasing this SUPERIOR DOLLAR TREE Shop Storefront location... I was introduced to this storefront, in late 2018, after I was released from an inpatient stay for greater than 70 days & nights. I was introduced, by my devoted Mother aka: Momma to me, as she's a Penny-Pinching-Queen & has taught me much about how to successfully manage & allocate money/funds/resources... Her & my awesome Dad as they were married at that time and unfortunately divorced after us 3 girls grew up & married for ourselves... That's a story for another time.... Right away I felt like I could take a deep breath as this was, & still is, the LARGEST, most SPACIOUS, & NEATLY ORGANIZED Dollar Tree Shop Storefront, I've personally been a customer at... It is HUGE & it's all but obvious that this store is well cared for and it's also obvious, that there is much "Pride In Ownership" occurring here. It's true. I've never visited, a Dollar Tree Store, where there was SO MUCH SPACE BETWEEN THE AISLES!!! :) Each aisle, is so wide you can pass another shopper, and never even know they are that close to you... It's really nice... & I think the other shoppers there today, were feeling that safer/relaxing/vibe as was I.... Something else that I LOVE about Dollar Tree (The actual Corporation that is) is that, they have an ON-LINE STOREFRONT SHOP! I just grabbed the "Sponsored Link" off of Google, and confirmed it's accuracy prior to listing it here... It's a nicely organized shop. I also viewed their "Weekly Ad" area, & didn't know they sold some of these types of goods.. They have fix the problem it's better but I'm not sure what I should say I just don't think I want to shop here or any dollar tree any more long story but they get away with quite a bit Let's talk numbers How many times have you bought something in the dollar and it does not works and you have think oh well just a dollar Right we'll say 15000 of those items have been bought and say 7500 don't work that's 7500 hundred dollars times how many stores 1500 or so stores well you do have the math it's not just your item it's 15000 other items and there counting on you saying it's just a dollar Now the item is not just a dollar anyways I know someone that worked there and they are ruthless read more

It's dirty. Sometimes it's stocked sometimes it's not. It's always hot in there! The employees are working in heat. It's not fair to them. There is only 1 people working register. There is normally 15 people in line.. read more

Saw a huge ass rat in the snacks section just eating a bag of pretzles. I told them there was a rat but the employee rolled her eyes and said she will ask for a janiter to take care of it.. I'm not sure how one janiter will Handel a rat problem miss read more

I rarely write reviews on Yelp but I felt it necessary to write one after the way I was treated here. I walked in with my daughter and her friend to buy some picture frames. We got our items and went to the check out. As we were paying for our items an employee asked me very rudely " Are you going to pay for those chips in your purse". I had just come from Big 99 where I had purchased the chips. I told her I purchased them at Big 99 and she got even ruder and basically accused me of stealing them. I asked her if she wanted to see my receipt. She said no then quickly changed her mind and said she would like to see my receipt. I showed it to her and she was still rude to me! She treated me like a thief even after seeing my receipt. And she got smart with me afterwards. It was completely embarrassing and uncalled for. I will not be back and I will make sure to let all of my friends and family know to stay away from this location as well. The customer service is beyond terrible. read more

Wow. This store is so disgusting. I'm not talking about the dated store, but about the cleanliness. I walked into the store without a mask on, and the store wreaked of rat urine. The air conditioning in the store was broke as well. And I was going to buy some packaged candy and it was sticky and there was rat feces all throughout the candy section. I hope this store is shut down or thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Do not go here for your own health and safety. read more

I shop other locations of this chain regularly and this was just broken. It seems like many things in this shopping center are broken, too. I found a couple of things that I wanted but not what I meant to find. They had all sorts of alternatives that I've never seen at any of their stores elsewhere. Remember that Dollar Tree has special sizes to make sure things end up on the even dollar. They're not necessarily inexpensive on every product. Pay attention. I never go to the Dollar Tree that is on Hatch Rd (I always go to the one that's in my neighborhood on Crows landing Rd) and I decided to go in there with my daughter because we were close to it. We went to buy candies for her piñata and when we were getting the candy bags we heard a noise and the candy bags started moving, I told my daughter "there are rats in there"!!! The rats were squealing!!! I went and told the girl at the register that there were rats in the candy area, all she said was "oh I'll tell my manager". Every time I go to this store there's only 1 checker. A week ago I had to get a couple items. So I went there. After standing in line for 20 minutes I asked the clerk to call for backup. By this time there were 20 people in line. She did, no one responded. I walked to the back room, asked a lady who's name badge read "manager" with her name below. I asked if she could get someone to help. Her response was " I AM ALREADY OFF THE CLOCK" So out the door she went. At that time after waiting 30 mins in line. This place is usually pretty dead. They've got one up on the 99 cent store with there ice cream section. They have an incredible selection

This dollar tree is usually very clean and well maintained. I have not been in the restroom. The selection is good and I usually choose to go here over other Dollar Trees. I have been to many in different cities. They keep the shelves well stocked and organized considering the number of people and children that go through everything daily. The line is usually very long. I do understand them needing to keep costs down. They do pass on good deals to us as consumers. If the cost is my time then I believe it is worth it. read more

I was not impressed with this location. There were many employees but no one wanted to help me locate anything or speak English. The only one who did was the checker. I understood he fine when she told me no carts outside. If I hadn't spent all that time getting all those items, I would've left right there and then. I had brooms and buckets and all these cat toys. She asked if I wanted help out but after the experience I had I just wanted to pay and leave immediately. read more

The store is convenient and does have some great finds. There are other locations that are more organized and don't have all the homeless outside the store. On the other hand the lines are really long but it's to be expected. Today the cashier was a complete loser. A forced hello and she looked unhappy. I brought in my reusable bag because it's the new normal. This horrid lady starts stacking my stuff on the counter and is not putting anything in my bag. I pay and she looks at me and I guess she remembered she needs to bag my stuff. Last I checked cashiers bag stuff at dollar tree. Am I wrong? read more
