​I visited this store today to pick out a few toys for an autistic child I work with. I let him choose what he wanted, and one of the items he picked was a Barbie doll. The cashier immediately developed an attitude and judgmentally asked, "Are you really buying him a Barbie?" ​If you cannot keep your personal comments to yourself, you should not be working in retail. You do not have the right to judge a child for the toys they choose or shame the adult buying them. No customer should ever have to justify their purchases. I will never shop here again and strongly recommend going elsewhere if you want to avoid being judged. read more

Just moved out here and I've been to a bunch of dollar trees in my time, item wise this is a new fav!!! I just wish they didn't have stocking carts on almost every isle though. I had to climb on and over some just to get items I needed. Kinda dangerous... Maybe bring one cart out at a time, stock then put it away and pull out the next. Came in looking for some 4th of July items and while you had one out of the few things I was looking for, many shelves were completely bare this visit. It was a dumpster out front with trash and food spilt everywhere, even if you can't do anything about it, alert the shopping center as it is disgusting and not a good look for your location. read more

this dollar tree location is actually really nice!!! and clean!!! and very organized!!! the only downside is the cashiers was a little low only two people! we needed to use the restroom so we asked the girl and she was very polite and gave us the key and helped us right away!! this location was much cleaner than others! i like it!! parking was easy too!! this place was very busy when we went but i really enjoy this location! read more

By far the worst location in this area! My most recent experience - There was a lady at the register whose card kept getting declined. After several minutes of playing on her phone she told the cashier she would be back and walked out of the store. The cashier just stood there actually waiting for the lady to come back. I was next in line and asked her to void that transaction and help the rest of us - there was now 5 other people in line. The cashier said she had to wait for the customer to come back otherwise the manager would have to void it and then she would have to ring everything up again. Now everyone in line is getting irritated and it's been at least 5 minutes. The customer finally did come back and guess what... her card was still declined! She left and the manager had to come and void the transaction anyway. Extremely HORRIBLE service. The cashier was too lazy to rering the transaction, if needed, and instead made all of the other actual paying customers wait for nothing! I will not be back to this location EVER! read more

Had a very rude cashier today 6/17/24 at 11am, she plays favorites with customers. Manager is nice though.

Had my daughter-in-law the other day, asking an employee to use the restroom for suddenly for my five-year-old grandson she was advised that they did not have a bathroom after my daughter-in-law was told that a similar kid in age has just used the bathroom. This is a clean and organized store. I was able to pop in and get what I needed right away. They seem to have full shelves. They have items for all needs. They have a big seasonal area and lots of party items. Even at $1.25, it is a still a steal. The name is misleading since they increased in price. Also, the cards are $0.50. Deal of the year. Balloons galore! I buy balloons here all the time for my daughter, for $1 each!?!?! Can't beat that! Party City usually charges me $9-25 for a balloon, so this is a steal! I also like to get toothbrushes, paper plates and any party supply here. The other day, I got tons of candies to fill a pinata for $9! My daughter likes bubbles so I buy a lot of bubbles from here for $1, it's pretty awesome. Crafts are much cheaper here than Michael's, so I end up buying little things to make. read more

I go to Dollar Tree to get a few things when money is tight. I also always bring my shopping bag to any store to save more money. But the ridiculous thing about bringing your own bag to Dollar Tree is they won't bag your items!!! Ralphs, Staters, Albertsons and others stores will bag your items when you bring your own bags or not! read more

This place has a good selection of random products just like you would think any Dollar Tree would, however many things were broken and just put on the shelves from purchase. When I asked many of the workers for advice on things to buy or where such things were located with in the store I got tire short answers, I truly felt like my business as a customer was NOT appreciated. Staff is rude and impatient on the phone. This store is always dirty. The carpet is disgusting. The bathrooms don't look like it gets cleaned daily. Never enough registers open but adequate staff is there. They do have a decent selection of products. Bags are ten cents. Sodas are cheap. Good candy for the movies. Dirty store and awful customer service. I asked for fresh balloons and they refused to blow up any new balloons. I had to pick out and pay for balloons that were half inflated. They had me pay for the balloons first which was fine, but had me leave my bag at the register. When I came back to the register my bag was gone. Sale associates Jasmin stated "I never said I would babysit your bag and you were in the same area as me". I told her I had to put the weights on the balloons because no one offered any customer service. Her response was "we had a line and thats not our responsibility that's the customers". She handed my bag to a different customer and wanted to take no responsibility for it. There were no apologies offered, no assistance to help resolve the situation, nothing. Not only that, but Jasmin spoke about me to different customers while i waited for them to call their manager. One star seems extremely generous for this place. Menifee, with all the other nice shops in close proximity, can surely do better than this!! We just moved to the area and thought we'd go get a few things to organize the house. Upon walking in, we wondered if there had been a power outage because a few lights were flickering along the back side of the store but the rest were off/not functioning. No carts anywhere to be found. When I asked the cashier if there were any carts she told me I could go to the parking lot and use a Ralph's grocery cart. Seriously??? I wonder if Ralph's knows this is where their carts are?? No explanation was given for the fact they looked closed or were experiencing some sort of power grid emergency. The store looked filthy and in complete disarray- as my 14 y/o daughter put it, "what DT must look like post-apocalypse." . Sad, yet a spot on assessment. So, we shopped in the dark, picked up our necessities and left. I sure hope corporate dollar tree knows their Menifee store needs to boot their manager (yes, when a store becomes a crap hole like this, it's absolutely poor management.) and find someone competent to run it. I was at the store on Sunday, 4/16/23 and as I walked in there were two store carts with sale items of .25 cents. I picked up the tubes with colored icing. As I checked out with my items , I was charged $1.25 each so I let the register know they were on sale for -25 cents. She called the manager "Letty" to correct the sale. Letty was so rude and said that that's what the computer charges, so I either take them for 1.25 or leave them. I walked over and showed her the sale basket and she pulled those items and returned to the shelf. She said she couldn't do anything. Walking up to check out, I asked her how she was doing and she looked straight at me with a blank stare/no response. I asked her if they offered $5 cash back for the child's birthday card I was buying. she said " NO, you have to get $10 and that It would be an extra $1 for cash back" with a slight attitude in her voice. I told her that was ok I'll take the $10 but I'd like to get two 5s back for the card. Then she proceeds to hand me a $10 bill, slams the cash drawer shut. I love going to the Dollar Tree. This store, however, is in extreme need of a makeover. It is so run down. The carpet is truly disgusting. It is stained and filthy. The store is stocked, but it seems messy. The staff has always been friendly. My daughter went in this Dollar Tree a couple days ago and while trying purchase her items the cashier very rudely criticized her for her acne. When I called to speak with the manager, I was given to the same person who talked to my daughter. I later found out that she wasn't even the manager. We spoke to the shift leader and left our information for the manager to call, but haven't heard a thing. I cannot believe the rudeness my daughter experienced during this visit. Went in tonight and it was busy due to Valentine's day tomorrow. I was so amazed how the Manager of the store Nicole was so unprofessional. In a horrible mood. I watched her check out people in front of me. Not once smiled. Not once said hi or have a good day. She was roughly placing things in bags like she was really mad. I want to take the time to remark and acknowledge Joni, we all know the dollar tree typically normally has long lines I mean there's only 5 registers do you really expect to see them all open on a typical day. She had numerous things coming her way but I do have to say she handled all situations properly and to her best. She first had a customer returning items and with no harm was an ebt customer, so she simply made her aware of her swapped items would leave her with a tax owing balance being the good was a taxable/carbonated item. She highly disliked that and wanted to search around just about the entire front end for policies stated and started awkwardly over looking the register when she could of simply or clearly seen her name tag the same way I did. As the return was complete another customer approached from across the way on the long line, reminder the reason why I am remarking is because a lot of time work goes unappreciated or the good work goes unnoticed! Joni has exceptional customer service she provided outstanding service, she stated that her other employee was on a break at that time sorry, and as for the ebt customer as she was ranting Joni simply kept it professional stayed quite and asked her to sign receipts and have a good day unfortunately she was just informing her on the policy. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! After shopping around I walk up to the only open register. The cashier "Michael" was walking away from the register and as soon as he saw me walk up he said, "Ughh, I knew that was going to happen." I smiled and apologized twice but he ignored me. He was ringing me up and my total came out to $120. I asked him if they had any teacher discounts and he laughed at me. I was confused and I politely told him that many places that have supplies offer discounts. I would understand if I had spent $10 and I was still asking for a discount, but I spent a good amount. He turned around and asked his coworker and then they both laughed about it together. I told him that he didn't have to laugh at me about it, but he ignored me once again. Went to Dollar Tree with my sister in Menifee to pick up a few things and the store smelled like mold and the floor was wet! I complain to the cashier and she stated that the management has been complaining to corporate about the health issues of mold! Corporate has done nothing. Seems they don't care about their employees or customers only about making a buck!!! They also charge customers a dollar for cash back! Imagine that! After buying items at the store only to pocket a free dollar back from customer cash back requests! Here's a plan fix the floor health risk issues, stop charging good customers so much for cash back after spending money in you store!
