This Dollar Tree is located in the sketchy part of Sun City. It is the closest one to my house and on a Saturday night I had an emergency purchase. There are plenty of parking. There are plenty of homeless people around. Generally, it is a safe place. Tonight, the place was a mess! I was looking for party supplies and walked around and around until I figured out that it was blocked off entirely with boxes that needed to be unloaded and stocked. There is absolutely no way to get into this aisle. What a major disappointment! It also explains why there's very little stock throughout the store. This is one of the better, more organized and well stocked stores, especially when it comes to holiday items. It's also pretty clean considering the surrounding area (the Menifee one on antelope even after renovations is one of the dirtiest, unkept, empty shelves location). They also have top notch customer service (Dot is always such a ray of sunshine), they open registers when lines get long, they are friendly, only downfall is it's a little far from me, but we try to come out to this location at least once a month. read more

The clerk for some reason was following me. Not intentional but she was so close that all I did was stop and she ran into me and startled me and I tweaked my back even worse when I turned around. Dollar Tree and it's sister chain Family Dollar, are part of an ever growing way we buy food, supplies and yes, candy. They're part of the three kings of inexpensive convenience retailing, along with Dollar General. Almost everything here, as the name implies, goes for a buck. They also have more locations, than Starbucks and McDonalds combine! Even though their inventory is somewhat eclectic and odd ball, people keep coming back, searching for that diamond in the rough. The biggest surprise on my most recent visit, was Campbell's Tomato Soup. Most grocery stores have it at twice as much, compared to the one dollar that it is sold for here. I'm giving it 4 stars, for the cashiers that worked here (come & go), they've all been polite, helpful & you can see they try their best w/long long line(s). It's also one out of 2 in the city that's somewhat better as far as supplies or having different items than the other on Antelope Rd. Well here we go! Thanks to inflation Dollar Tree couldn't pass the chance to pass it on. Sure The dollar tree has always been a great bargain but 25% sets the inflation bar pretty high. I get it nobody's ever going to lower their prices, even with big tax break incentives prices didn't come down, so I'm imaging the OneTwentyFiveTree will be with us until perhaps the next time everyone jumps on the raise your prices band wagon. Recently bought the 3 little Lofas containers to use for my daughter, I didn't really look at them as it was a quick in and out of the store. I got home I was checking them out through the container and saw a flea crawling in the blue lofa at the bottom. Good thing I saw it before use. This review is not reflecting the front line workers. This is in regards to the deceptive pricing on their shelves. They listed their Vienna sausages at 69 cents a can but at ringup it was 89 cents! The big tag falsely advertising 69 cents did not reflect this. It is understandable that food shortages and supply chain issues may be a factor but accurately displaying the prices in the store is paramount to the consumer who are on a budget. read more

Fantastic location! Stocked to the max and clean. I am amazed at the variety of things they carry. Seasonal decor is always fun. Birthday supplies- balloons, wrapping paper and greeting cards. Office and crafts supplies galore! Pretty much a one stop shop and the customer service is superb. Wyatt helped me at checkout today, he greeted me with a warm smile and asked me if I found everything I was looking for. I was looking for a hula hoop, surprised they didn't have any but figured it was a seasonal item. He wasn't 100% sure if they had them or not so he asked the other cashier. 5 solid stars for the workers here. They are amazing! The woman who checked me out today was quick, friendly, had a sense of humor, and overall did a great job. There was not a crowd at all. The shelves were all kept neat. I just feel this is a small location without all the name brands that other locations have. Also I go to these shops for soup. That's right, I shop for deals on canned soup. I love the stuff as it is low cal, fills me up, and allows me to eat a nice salad and soup at home one day so later I can go wild at a restaurant. I mean, I am a lady who likes to save a $1 now and then. They have a small cold storage area. So if you are looking for cheap eggs, or cheese, or even those veggie samosas you have been wanting then you might luck out! Very nice dollar tree with very cheery employees that are very nice considering the fact that everytime I go to dollar stores the workers are kind of attitude-y. For the most part, they have a good selection of many different items and food as well (which they don't tax). They had lots of ice cream which is what I came here for and they were all the simple flavors that I ate as a kid, like strawberry shortcake and creamsicles. It was awesome to find and they had a big selection on food and office supplies as well. For the most part the store is in a good location, and there's plenty of room, and not crowded at all. They keep it fairly clean, but the lines can be a bit slow especially since they usually have just one line open. read more

If you are a person of color stay away from this store. I was in store with my 2 adopted daughters. Both had small kid purses. A worker approached them and ask my African American daughter to open her purse. My daughter complied and of course nothing was in the small purse but her wallet a mask and a comb and it all belonged to her. I have been here many times. Today while I waited in line, four people in front of me, the young checker called his manager for help with a return. She yelled from the break room, "WHAT?!" She yelled at him that it would have to wait and that she was on her 15 minute break. I couldn't believe it, her tone was horrible. I wasn't the only one. All of us in line were shocked and discussing her poor behavior and management skills. By the time I had left, Pat, that's the manager, still hadn't come out to help. Obviously love the prices. The employees seemed great, helpful, and attentive to their work. The store is relatively well kept. So 5 stars for all of that. However, my experience today was creepy. There were homeless people outside asking for money, a guy walking around the store with no shoes on, and a couple of other guys walking in and out of the store literally stealing chips. I was thrilled when a dollar tree went in at this location. I always go to the dollar tree to buy wrapping paper and giftbags. I also like to get a few decorations for different holidays for the office. This location is usually very well stocked and has great inventory that other locations don't have. The store is larger than other locations I have been to as well which is nice because it can get busy! I have even bought storage containers, books, office supplies, heck even a disposable pan to cook the turkey in last Thanksgiving. Oh, and this is truly THE place to get someone a card for any occassion, and some cards are 2 for $1... you can't beat that. Plus, not to be cynical, why spend 3-5 bucks on a card that ends up in the back of someone's junk drawer. No, I am too stingy for that. But Dollar Tree let's me be frugal and still show love/appreciation/whatever for the people I love. I mean, a persons wedding I would get a nice expensive card, but for my giant family on xmas I have the dollar tree for cards. I even bought really cute glass containers here for my makeup brushes. Also have small office supplies, toys, greeting cards, kitchen ware, canned goods, beauty supplies, junk food, etc. Very busy most of the time. Located in the Sun City strip mall. Parking is adequate. Watch out for low-lifes though. Keep your eye on your purse or wallet, and be careful walking in the parking lot. The cashier will ask if you want a bag or not.
