I checked out multiple places on Yelp as to who may be the best place for what I was looking for. Howard Hill Furniture fit the bill. HHF was a drive into NJ and a rather large single floor building with all types of samples of furniture for purchase. They also have many catalogs one can look through and place orders. They have unfinished furniture if desired, or you can buy it finished but not put together. My bar stools were supposed to have been not put together leaving that for me to do, but to my surprise they were put together when I picked them up. This is not IKEA furniture; it's solid wood and well put together. At least what I purchased was. Due to COVID-19, and the shipping quandary from overseas shutdowns and stuck container ships trying to unload, my order from July 11, 2021, was only received today. The staff had told me it would be at least three months to get my furniture, and when I picked them up was told I'm one of the lucky ones who actually got my order when they said it would be in. Many others were delayed even longer. Thankfully, HHF have not lost too much in sales for those who wouldn't wait. Staff were friendly and not pushy at all to make the sale. They let me sit my butt in all the available merchandise for my butt to make the best decision in my seating choice. All prices were reasonable but not really low. Again, though, the quality of the furniture is better. I'm very happy with my purchase from HHF.

But there was ONE of these balls left at this DT, and the awesome woman at the register walked back with me, rooted through all the places she knew toys got shuffled and hidden, and she found my son a ball! My mom was feeling like she needed to get out of the house yesterday, so I agreed to go with her to this TJ's location. I get pretty anxious in grocery stores so I tend to go in the early morning, so mid-afternoon on a Sunday was nerve-wracking for me. The parking lot is easy to navigate, which is nice for a TJ's location, and the store is well laid out too. Everything appeared to be well stocked. I want to give one of their workers a shoutout. I am not sure of his name, though. Essentially what happened was that my mom and I turned down an aisle. There was a man standing to the side with a cane, but he was...literally just standing there, so my mom scooted past him with the cart, said "excuse me" and kept walking. I was behind her and overheard the man's wife announce, "Yes, they can go, you have a cane after all!" in this really snarky, nasty tone. I turned and was like, "Was that really necessary? We buried my father YESTERDAY" and called her a not-nice name (if she replied, I didn't hear her -- I was seeing red). A worker nearby WHIPPED his head around and I thought for a second I was going to get kicked out of the store, but instead, he walked up to my mom and offered to help her put a heavy item in her cart. The checkout girl was pleasant too. Thank you to that worker for the small act of kindness at a time when we needed it. I appreciate that TJs workers seem to all practice active empathy no matter the location.

Upon walking in you're immediately greeted by oodles of holiday product ... which outside of the holiday season wouldn't be "normal" but it let me know they'll probably have everything and anything I need to celebrate this season. I wasn't there for holiday decor but specifically for bathroom and pet accessories and I was able to check every single item I needed off of my list because they had exactly what I needed ... which isn't generally easy to do lol. And my cashier was really friendly, detailed and careful with packaging my items. The store is lucky to have her. I would definitely shop this location again!

If somebody who works there walks by you and you look like you're looking around for something they act like they don't even see you instead of asking do you need help finding something. I have found some good buys there randomly during their different holiday seasons. They are one one if the select few craft stores left in this country that people know by brand, yet they put so little into their online purchasing app to make it convenient and don't care about customer experiences in their store. They might as well get rid of the act and just push everybody to purchase in store unless that's their whole goal with how crappy their app is put again if that's the case then they should really be focusing on customer service within their store. They are missing out in a lot of opportunity and making money.
