They only had one cashier working at the time. Clearly, it was too stressful for her to be working register by herself because she snapped. Raised her voice at this young woman buying balloons and then awkwardly apologized over the speaker to the entire store. Such an uncomfortable experience. Store has a hand-made sign of adjusted hours due to short staff. On top of that, this past Saturday doors were locked around 4 PM when the hand-made sign said store should be open until 6 PM. Saw multiple people try to go into the store only for it to be locked. It's a really good location but seems like the store isn't being maintained. read more

I love Dollar Tree. I visit the one in McKinney religiously. It's my go to place for balloons. Party City charges a ton for them but here they are a great deal. While in Frisco today we decided to pick up a graduation balloon for my kid who is graduating kindergarten tomorrow. While there we picked up a couple of water bottles too. Our cashier was Brian. I cannot begin to explain to you guys how rude he was to my husband. We had just withdrawn money at the bank and all we had was $100 bills. Now, I know it's a pain to make change, especially because our bill was 3.25. He first asked us both if we had anything else (fair) and when we both said no, he told my husband "It's a Dollar Tree, not Nordstroms." His coworker (a nice lady) offered to go the three steps over to the office and break the bill, but he snapped and grabbed the $100 bill and went to make change. It took all of 30 seconds and he brought back all $5 bills. When my husband (who was steaming mad) asked why all $5s, Brian said "If you are going to be a pain, I am too." I couldn't believe how horrible this guy was being all over a $100 bill! After he gave us our change, he shouted on our way out "You're welcome." I get that breaking $100 bill is a pain. If he couldn't do it, we had told him it was ok, we'd go elsewhere. He didn't have to be rude. I came on here and see review after review noting THE EXACT SAME ATTITUDE from him. I'm reporting him to corporate. I wouldn't recommend this store. read more

Dear Dollar Tree team, I recently visited your store in Frisco next to target at closing time and unfortunately arrived at the store just as it was closing. I apologize and understand the importance of adhering to store hours and appreciate the effort that goes into closing up the store. However, I wanted to address the response I received from a staff member who approached me as I was entering the store. The staff member was quite harsh and seemed to be angry at me for arriving at the store so close to closing time exactly at 10 pm.. While I understand their frustration, I believe there is a more friendly way of communicating with customers who arrive during closing time. All that was needed was a polite reminder that the store was closed and a friendly apology for any inconvenience I cause....I was pleasant with my response. I do want to apologize. Despite this, I want to express my appreciation for the store and its staff. I always enjoy shopping at Dollar Tree for its great deals, wide variety of products, and clean and organized store layout. The staff members are usually very helpful and welcoming, and I hope that this experience was an isolated incident. I really like this Dollar Tree. It's cleaner, better organized, and overall nicer than the ones closer to me in far North Dallas. This store always has a better selection. This is the store that I come to when I'm getting seasonal items for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. They have a great selection of items for any holiday. I also think this store is a great place to come if you want to throw an inexpensive party or gathering. This store has many party items to help you throw an inexpensive gathering. read more

The store is in a nice location in Frisco near other businesses offering the connivence of parking and walking around shop to shop. It's a smaller store, and it's well stocked and I was able to find what I was looking for. Still.. I have to wonder if there are any Dollar Tree stores that can have 5 available registers but only one open at any time of day. On this day it was one snarky cashier takes his time slowly ringing up folks while making snide comments as the line continue to form until it damn near reaches to the back of the store. Did I mention there was another guy working there who happened to scurry off as this was unfolding. Speaking of Mr Snarky, next time I'll wheel a cart thru and buy more than the two items he felt the need to point out so it'll please the Dollar Store fantasized sales commission quota. read more

I walk up to put my basket down to get ring up as i was next ! She screamed at me and said no ma'am I have not called you up next and the line starts over there !! As she points to her right which was 2 registers down ! How was I suppose to know! Lesson learned other locations where they are nice and friendly with a nicer tone when needing to direct their customers to the right lane or register!I was totally caught off guard with her tone and rudeness! The customer service is below mediocrity. I visited the store at 3265 Preston , Frisco Tx. to exchange some reading glasses I bought 2 weeks ago from a DT in Dallas . The ink on the receipt had faded in some areas . I walk into this particular store on Halloween. No problem I thought. So I didn't know which associate to ask because it was extremely busy . So I asked the guy at the 1st register where can I exchange my glasses, he says he didn't know as he was scanning items for a customer. So I looked at him with shock . Then an associate by the office yelled out to me , What do you want ? I raised my bag up and said I need to exchange these glasses . She asked if I had the receipt. I told her it had fading on it . She said , Well you can't return it without the receipt. So I told her I'll just get some more . As she was talking to a customer she already had in her line I heard her tell the customer She was so sick of people coming in there without a receipt. I asked her what did she say ? She yells across the store to tell me , YOU CANT COME IN HERE WITHOUT A RECEIPT IT SAYS SO AT THE BOTTOM . So I yell back at her saying I wouldn't know that because the receipt is faded wench .The line went to the back of the store . By the time I get closer to the front another associate opens up a register and calls out next . So the sarcastic associate calls out next . That would be . I walked up to her register she looks at me with a smirk and says she was closed . I get back in line smh . So the guy calls out next I get in his line and rude associate yells out an expletive towards me . So I told her to repeat it . She did ,then walks out from behind her counter and walks up be hind me yelling more expletives. I returned expletives. She calls the police on me and told them I was tearing up their store and cursing at her . The Frisco officers were extremely professional and respectful. Kudos . Dollar Tree , do better . read more

Selection is great, but this store is a mess. The cashier guy and the older Asian or Hispanic cashier were absolutely rude! No greeting, tone used while speaking with customers was unpleasant, and no thanks for shopping here...nothing! Ridiculous! If you don't like your job, quit. The guy who works here is such an a-hole! I bought a puzzle for my daughter. Let me repeat, A Puzzle, as in I purchased just one item from a dollar store. The customer service from the store management is atrociously offensive and embarrassing. More specifically, I was offended by the effeminate and rude store/floor manager who repeatedly blurted out creepy sexual innuendo at me and made very rude critiques about the clothing that I was wearing. There were a few prior occasions when he followed me around the store, invaded my boundaries, got too close for comfort, asked invasive questions, and boasted about his romantic interests rather than letting me shop in peace. This store has the worst customer service ever. I was trying to check out and there was only one cashier open. Another cashier was helping a customer with balloons. There was a woman in front of my in line but she had gone in the line with the other cashier right as my woman had come back to her station. And instead of helping me because I was in line already, she wanted the woman who was originally in front of me to come back into her lane so she could be helped by this cashier. But the woman just said to help me instead. And the cashier reluctantly helped me. She forced me to throw my drink away and she said under her breath "you weren't in line first". Then while she was checking my things out I said, "hey i also need some balloons too" and she was like "we can't do them now", even though she had just helped a woman get about 6? And then she got a phone call in the middle of checking me out, and instead of decline, turning her ringer off, or just ignoring it, she picks up the call and starts talking on the phone instead of talking to me. I don't know if this is all because I am a teenage customer, but I pay with my own money, I was polite and friendly. And all I got met with was disrespect and attitude. Also the shopping lanes are cramped and cluttered with random boxes and stocks and supplies. Overall dirty environment with rude workers.
