My elderly mother was holding on to the shopping cart for support. I was very shocked and surprised by how aggressive the employee grabbed my shopping cart and accused me and my family of stealing . I told the employee that I was startled by her actions and she stated "it's fine" .We showed our receipt an the employee said that one of the items is not on the receipt. We had taken part of the buy one get one free vitamin deal. After the she looked at the receipt . She then proceeded to say have a good day and then left "Liz" . No apology or anything . She acted like we stole the cash register or something. Me and my family come to this location every week for the past couple years this location is actually out of our way. I get that....but not great when dealing with businesses and legitimate complaints. She said she did not know that the products she was selling was fake and was appreciative of that info. She noted she'd reach out to her vendor. I could tell that she really felt bad about my interactions on the phone and like I mentioned originally, I am not for hurting small business. I like their selection of stuff a lot more than other locations even though the others are bigger. The stuff isn't all messy and fallen on the floor like other locations so I like that it's not overstimulating. It can get crowded on weekends but nothing too crazy. Their parking lot is huge so there's never any trouble with parking. The cashiers are always friendly and the security always greets me when I come in and says bye when I leave.

Not sure why but if you take the shopping cart outside, the wheels freezes up where you would need to lift up the cart to move it out of the middle of the parking lot. This happens every time and not just to me, but also those around me with shopping carts. It's extremely frustrating when you have bigger items in your cart and need to carry it to your car. Like most HomeGoods stores, it is directly connected to a TJ Maxx where you can find apparel and accessories for the whole family. I don't shop there so I just usually get what I need at HomeGoods and head straight to checkout. Overall, HomeGoods in general is one of my favorite retail store, because I love shopping for home decor and kitchen things. My favorite location is probably the store in Pasadena or Walnut.
