People shopping are always weird haha. This store is usually very clean and organized. It must have been a truck day when I was there on a Friday. There was a homeless person sleeping outside the store but they can't always be aware of that. The customer service is usually nice. They have it well stocked inside the store. Dollar Tree has really "upped their game" and the store is FULL of fabulous, useful, seasonal and quality items. All CDC guidelines are followed and it is a safe shipping experience with courteous employees! I always shop here for greeting cards (TWO for $1.00!), seasonal decorative items, etc BUT was astounded by the new two sided section well stocked with every type and all brands of candies!! This is where you need to pick up those candy snacks when you get a chance to go to a movie theater! read more

I love this store, so many great deals and everything is $1.00 literally everything and they have so much, party supplies, shaving cream, oven mitts, food, drinks and so much more! You can also sign up for their email program for even more exclusive deals! On the 13th of this month I purchased a water bottle to keep me hydrated to shop and some party supplies and a present for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. The table cloths covered the tables evenly, the utensils and plates worked great for the party and the tape stuck well to the wall! My daughter also loved her stuffed monkey and carried it around the store, too cute I felt bad to take it away to wrap for apart of her gift! I'm knocking off a star, because her hot pink birthday crown I purchased came apart unfortunately and so she couldn't wear it to her party. I'll figure out a way to fix it tho for her to wear to play princess or for next year! I would definitely recommend shopping at this location, why not save a buck, especially if you have a big crowd! The cashier working this morning was the nastiest person, I was appalled even for being at a dollar store. The cashier BERATED the woman in line in front of me who is obviously not proficient in English for not clearly enough stating she needed an exchange as soon as she came up. The cashier wouldn't let it go as she continued telling the woman over and over it's her fault this is taking so long and she's causing all these problems-I genuinely thought i was going to have to intervene. This poor lady was so calm and didn't respond at all and left the store quickly. I am disgusted ugh. read more

I've been coming to this Dollar tree for years. Anytime I walk in for one thing I end up leaving with a cart full of stuff to do crafts with, hair accessories, cleaning supplies and all kinds of holiday decorations. They have everything in there. Gift bags, birthday cards, party supplies, gardening stuff, school supplies, hair products, lightbulbs, car cleaning supplies, storage baskets, hangers, food, kitchen supplies, aluminum foil, Ziploc bags, paper goods... The list goes on and everything for a dollar means everything is inexpensive. Throughout the years there have been many different employees. Went there today when first opened to grab some Halloween decorations and stuff for goodie bags. A clerk comes up, less than a foot away and start to stock products. I pause and wait... she never says anything to me or even looks at me. I'm super friendly and am more than understanding when communication happens. I can't continue on with what I'm getting as she is now blocking and less than a foot away. I ask her, "Should I come back? That is where I'm going." She responded with"well! I need to stock!" I come from retail and are you kidding me!! It's a pandemic, signs all over the store saying six feet apart and you are not going to allow me to grab what I need! I honestly put everything I had down and walked out. It was so rude and disrespectful!! You can't back up a few feet or allow a customer a minute to grab what I need. I try to just respect everyone during this time. It's rough for so many. No respect here and they are not following COVID guidelines!! read more

I don't come here that often, but when I do.....aw crap, starting to sound like a Dos Equis commercial. I am on a lot of post-transplant meds, and as I need to keep my kidneys healthy, am told to drink a lot of non-soda fluids. Sadly, they also said non-alcoholic (as I believe a good whiskey cures everything else). I bring this up because I grew up drinking Crystal Geyser brand water....and this dollar tree always has six packs of the bottled water for....you guessed it, a dollar. Love getting water here that is just as good as the crap in markets that is sometimes as much as $3. Oh, and they have pop rocks here too. Gotta love any place that sells pop rocks. read more

I was in the store before the Tuesday Before Valentines day. The cashier Felicia was very RUDE!! she was popping and snapping her gum so loud you could hear Felicia doing it 3 people back. when I got up to be checked out, I said can you please stop when ringing me up I have very sensitive ears and that noices bothers me. she snapped back she can chew it if she wants. she said it was my problem. I said that was rude and not customer friendly, she said you punch me I punch back! what kind of customer service is that??? As far as Dollar Trees go, this is one of the best. First of all, I'm no connoisseur of Dollar Tree Stores, but I've been to enough to know that they mostly carry the same products, at least the ones in this area do. Their inventory tends to be better quality, easier to find, and more organized than other discount stores (*cough* 99 Cents Only *cough*). This particular Dollar Tree is no different in that regard. Where it excels is location and customer service. It seems whenever I go to a Dollar Tree, the employees leave something to be desired - at best, they ignore you, and at worst, they are downright surly. At this store, I've only ever experienced friendly helpfulness. Let's talk about location. So many Dollar Trees are in fairly sketchy neighborhoods, but this one I would feel safe walking to at night, which is saying something. I mean, might have to sidestep some hipsters hanging out in front of the Dimple Records next store, but at least don't have to come strapped. Anyway, you want some cheap food, cleaning items, party supplies, or anything like that, this is a great place to start. And if they don't have what you need, Target is right across the street. read more

I stopped by to get supplies for my sons school project and found exactly what I needed! A 3 sided poster board for just a dollar....score!! Just found out during my visit that they also sell balloon bouquets for $9.99 or $1 each mylar balloon. read more

What can I say? I mean everything is $1. The best purchase here are their greeting cards hands down...2 cards for $1. You just can't be that! I've also got a few cooking utensils & plastic food containers here that I like. During the holidays, its a great place for certain decor too. read more

I'm no connoisseur of Dollar Tree or anything (I only visit DT to buy bubble mailers for that occasional package or three) but I have to say that this is the cleanest Dollar Tree I've ever been to. Every time I've visited the place is always spic-and-span. The cashier on our most recent visit (Her name started with a T...Taylor, I think?) was both friendly and helpful. The location also gives this Dollar Tree points in my book; it's located across the street from Target and the Birdcage shopping center. I do like to come here often and just ignored the crappy customer service. However, my last experience has definitely convinced me to find either a different store or go to 99 cent store. Two employees were standing in front at a register when I walked in. I was 3 feet away and neither of them acknowledged a customer's presence. When I got was in line I observed the cashier, Felicia, with other customers. No greeting. Surely attitude. Talking to the other employee loudly over her shoulder about non- work related business. When I got to the register I was given the same. Surly. No greeting. I looked her in the eyes and asked to speak to a manager who would not come up. I just ended up telling her how disappointed I was with the no greeting at the door and bad attitude. She just shrugged off my comments. Idk. I went down the street to Walmart Neighborhood market and I was greeted warmly and assisted in anyway. Night and day. read more

Very clean store and convienintly located across from the Target shopping center. Dollar Tree is great for things that are more higher priced at other stores, such as cleaners, personal products, small office supplies and kids items. This store seems better kept than most and parking is easy to get in and out of. I used to go to this location all the time when I worked nearby. As I am moving back to the area, I will be going again. Worth a look if you need supplies in a pinch or cheap decorations for a party. read more

I don't like this dollar tree location very much. It is run down and dirty. It could really use a revamp! They do have a decent selection of things but I only go to this location if I'm close or as a last resort. With that being said though, the staff has always been very pleasant. read more

It's a dollar tree. Everything is: you guessed it, a dollar! This can be a bargain if you ate able to find here what you were going to get elsewhere. Otherwise, it can be a blow to your wallet if, like me, you rr a sucker for a deal and leave with 80 things. Do the math. Make a list. Wear blinders. First of all I've been a resident of Citrus Heights for years now and I frequent this store because it is so close to my house, I would like to say great store lots of great products that I don't see at most dollar trees. Other than the products the customer service is terrible I've only had one employee be nice to me everytime I've went and other than that I get treated like im going to either steal from them or people are just down right rude for no reason from the managers especially!! Basically I will say if your young and you are not white they will treat you like crap so be prepared . This is my go to dollar tree. They have all kinds of great food items. From frozen dads root beer popsicles to tortillas and white rice. Chilled drinks, lunch meats, all kinds of baking and Side dishes. Definitely the store I come to when I have a few bucks and need something simple and for a dollar. Almost always fully stocked with what I need. In the last 6months I think I've only been dissatisfied a handful of times with this store. And im there at least once a week if not twice:-) read more

So on a quick trip to this Dollar Tree location on Halloween all went fine and the store looked nice and clean. However a young lady working at the cash register (Nika, I believe her name was) is what prompted me to want to tell everyone how great she is. It was her simple smile and 100% organic kindness and realness that caught my attention. As she helped many customers with their purchases while being friendly, she also took the time to delicately assist a handicap adult that had many questions for her while she was working. It was her character that shined above anything else and by watching how wonderfully she treated this man made my heart so warm. The world needs more people like Nika! Great Job Girl! Side Note: I am a Mother of a special needs child and can only hope that someone like Nika will pass paths with him in his future when I'm not there to help :) read more
