I've come to this location two or three times every two months to get napkins, gift bags, candy,…read moregreeting cards, disposable tablecloths, and other stuff depending on the month. There's a blonde lady that is usually the cashier every time I come in. She always says, "God bless!" when people leave. I thought that was pretty awesome! There is a variety of religions/beliefs here. I'm very open minded when it comes to beliefs, and it doesn't bother me when someone tells others to be blessed by God. WHAT BOTHERS ME IS RACISM!!! Yesterday (September 8, 2019) while standing in line somebody mentioned to that cashier about how they were excited that a Panda Express was being built next door. That cashier that I always see (Older. Blonde lady. Telling people "God bless!") went on a rant about how awful it was. She pointed to a lady that was behind me and was screaming that it was her fault that we had that kind of food here, and what not. The lady behind me was Chinese. As she was ranting I looked over at her and her eyes began to water. A dark gentleman stepped up and told her that it was enough and that she needed to in the rant. The Chinese lady was outside crying in the end. I am disgusted with this store now! We are thankful that that gentleman stood up for that woman. I wish I could've done more. I should have done more! I just stood there in shock! The friend I was with and I have decided that we will call later and talk about how they had hurt someone in an awful way.

I had two concerning experiences at RegeneSis Thrift Store in Chester and feel it's important to…read moreshare them. On my first visit earlier this year, I purchased a pair of shoes clearly marked $8.99 and completed the transaction. After I paid, the cashier questioned the price and removed the item from my bag to check with management. While one manager acknowledged the sale was complete, another suggested I donate more money because I had received a "good deal." This happened in front of other customers and felt uncomfortable and embarrassing. Despite that, I gave the store another chance. On February 16, 2026, I selected several items with clearly marked prices, including shoes labeled $12.99 and other discounted items. At checkout, I was told the prices were incorrect and the store refused to sell the shoes at the marked prices. I ended up purchasing only some clothing and leaving. I understand that pricing mistakes can happen, especially at thrift stores. However, how those situations are handled matters. My concern is less about the error itself and more about the way I was treated when trying to purchase items at the prices displayed. As a nonprofit thrift store that serves the community, I expected clearer pricing policies and more respectful customer service. I hope the store takes steps to improve consistency and communication so future customers don't have similar experiences

What disappoints me is that this is a church owned thrift store, in a somewhat lower income area…read morebut their prices are very overpriced...is this charity or is this greed? $200 for a dresser with broken drawer, $5 for an old plain white coffee mug...i kept thinking this is a joke, this is a joke are you an antique store or a thrift store? your prices are confusing
