So many little goodies! If you are looking for just little knick knacks? They have it. Souvenirs? They got it. Clothes? Yep. Seasonal decor? They have you covered year-round. Local goods as well. I could have spent so much money in one visit, but I held myself in check so I can come back and do more exploring in this awesome little store. Definitely worth the 30 minute trip from our house in NC just to go here!

One of our favorite places to shop is the Virginia Avenue Mall, which offers (the following description from Virginia.org) 40 independent retailers. Antiques, Baby Clothes & Accessories, Books, Clothing, Cosmetics, Coffee, Snacks & Cold Drinks, Collectibles, Counted Cross Stitching Supplies, Christian Book & Supplies, Custom Picture Framing, Dolls, Furniture, Fashion Handbags, Garden Statuary & Flags, Gel Candles, Handcrafted Wood Gifts, Jewelry, Novelties, Patchwork & Country Crafts, Packaging Supplies, Photo Frames, Prints, Realty Information, Sewing Notions, Souvenirs, Stanley Home Products, Toys, Watersports Equipment, Wrought Iron, Yarn & Supplies, and Visitor Information. There is always that irresistible something that makes an extra special gift to someone in our lives. It's quirky. And there's something about wandering about the maze looking at the wide range of offerings which is a bit intoxicating. The folks who work here? Spectacular! Whom I presume all happen to have a vested interest--I'm guessing they are the retailers, provide service with a smile and a heaping amount of Southern goodness. There's one store within the mall that offers the yummiest soup and dip mixes and much more. They make great hostess gifts and are always a hit when I bring them to a party. If you're passing through, or if you're even a short drive away, definitely check it out.

Oh Stony Point, how far you've fallen…read more I don't know if it's COVID or what has brought about the mass exodus from this outdoor shopping center but it's a shell of what it used to be. 10 years or so ago - I was so impressed with all the stores here. Some of them the only high end ones until you get to DC. Tiffany's, Restoration Hardware, Anthropologie, Sur la Table, body stores, Bebe, Saks 5th Ave and tons more. Tiffany's and RH remain. As well as Saks and a few others holding on like Pandora and Brighton, but that's it. A vast majority of the shops have closed as well as the restaurants. I remember when this was a bustling shopping center with children playing in the main area and people walking their pets. It was a ghost town today. I hope it can be revived.

I don't know if Short Pump Town Center drew away all the business or what, but Stony Point is doing something very wrong. It shouldn't be this DEAD so close to downtown. I hate to compare it with a place from back home, but I couldn't help but think of the Domain in Austin, TX. Any time you go to the Domain, it's jumping. Like it's always popping there. And they are the exact same type of property. Yes, Austin is a much bigger city and the Domain's a much bigger area, so I'm not expecting Stony Point to be on par. But it was still kind of dead. I was expecting it to be just a little more popping.
