I needed a card for my parents' upcoming anniversary, and Dollar Tree usually has $1 cards or even 50c ones. I found a nice one for 50c. They also had some Thanksgiving and Christmas cards, since it's now early November, and I also bought a Thanksgiving card for a friend. The store did look a little messy but it was 5 or 530pm that day, so that could be why. Checkout was fast though and the cashier was friendly. While we found what we needed (some Awesome sprays but there weren't many on the shelf to begin with), the entire store seemed like it was prepping to close. Shelves were pretty messy or empty, the back half of the store had the lights not on (of course we needed something from the back shelf so we were standing in the dark other than natural light from the from). No music was playing throughout. Boxes littered many of the aisles, and the cashier seemed like they didn't want to be there anymore. After entering the store and waiting in line to do an exchange on my items. I was refused service of exchanging my items. After be directed over to your store manager Bob. He refused to assist in any way. Mumbling and what not. When I asked for information to his higher ups he continued to ring customers ignoring that I was standing right there. He stated "we can refuse any return or exchange" with no written explanation outlined in any policy. Of what they will take back or won't. Even when going to Dollars Tree website there is no information about this policy. When calling Dollar Tree customer support it continues to just ring and ring. Moral to this story. Don't buy anything you don't want to keep. Don't expect if it states on the receipt that they do not offer returns, only exchanges. That they won't flat out refuse to do an exchange as well.

One thing about the Dollar Tree... It is pretty easy to add up the bill. lol. This Tree is on 11 Mile Rd at Lahser. Area is becoming less a retail area and more a business district. This store has always been a leader in dollar merchandise and customer service. This will sound stupid but maybe not. My wife decided to buy socks on the way to the airport so she's not barefoot when walking through TSA. That one of the beauties of dollar tree. Easy in; easy out. Grab those socks and be back on the road. Naturally, she picks up chips, candy and bottled water. They also have beef jerky for Steven E. You are what you eat!!!! Which is ok. However if I wanted to do that I would go to five below. I can always run in and grab what I want. Anything from Hallmark greeting cards, table decorations, serving items and much more. I have the conversation with myself before going in to the store: "Only get what you came here for", lol. When they keep up with stock this is hard to do. There may be a wait as cashiers are also helping customers.
