They advertise far lower prices which really makes no sense. A retailer sold it to them, they have to mark-up the price to turn a profit. Not much room to lower the price for us. The highlight of this visit was listening to one of the associates bitch about having to assist a customer. "Why don't you call one of the other three people in the store, I've been here since 5:00am and I'm tired." It's only 1:30 in the afternoon. Are you serious? Maybe Ollie is working these boys too hard? Another oddity. A relief cashier came up and rang up one customer to relieve a long line. Then walked away as we approached his check out. There were still three people behind us! The other ladies seem nice and the store does have an incredibly huge selection. I will admit that on occasion, you'll catch a rare, but great find at a decent price. 07/25

I asked a cashier if I could exchange all of my broken iPhone cables (like the sign right next to her says you can with zero stipulations), and she loudly said that I needed a receipt and you only have 14 days. Maybe they should take the sign that says the opposite down to not confuse customers. Another thing may to be a little nicer and a little more helpful like it is in the Flint and Rochester hills stores. I just never have a positive experience in this store due to the employees, low inventory, mess all over the place and broken items everywhere. It's funny because when my husband suggested we stop at the auburn hills store and I told him "oh no, please let's not, that place is a disaster, can we please go to Flint instead?"

I wasn't too excited about going into the mall for just one stop at first, but it ended up being pretty easy. As long as you go in through the right entrance, you don't have to walk the whole mall, although we love the huge size and selection at Great Lakes! We used the map right by the door and found GameStop quickly. The mall felt welcoming and had a lot going on, so it's definitely a place you could spend more time if you wanted to. Even though we didn't need help from mall staff, we were greeted by a few people as we walked through, which was nice. It turned out to be a smooth and easy visit overall.

My favorite stores to shop here were: Just Cozy, TJ Maxx, Burlington, and The Nike Store. All of these stores had items that I needed and all of them had a large variety to choose from. Many of these stores also had great sales and specials. They had a Winter Wonderland setup and Santa Claus was there for photos. I also appreciated that they had Christmas Carolers from a local church group singing live here. The food court was not good. We had a family member get sick from the Japanese food place, so please be careful. The variety in the food court is also a range of different options, which was good. One staff member was very kind and tried to help by finding boxes, but another employee (possibly the manager) came out, took them out of my hands, and firmly said no. She repeated that I had to select "gift wrap" during online checkout, but from a customer's perspective, after waiting in a long line, receiving 10 gift items stuffed into a small shopping bag was extremely disappointing. I understand store policies, but I expected at least a simple wrapping option or even an extra shopping bag. The way I was spoken to and dismissed made me feel very uncomfortable, and I couldn't help feeling that I was being treated differently--possibly because I'm Asian. I definitely won't be returning after this experience, and I regret not asking for the employee's name (short-haired lady with not-so-fluent English).
