I'm super happy that the money i spent at PEOPLE didn't go to waste. I'm even happier that he gave me a few free PEOPLE stickers with my board purchase. he offered to mount my bindings but i declined since i like to adjust them to my liking and they were also about to close. I immediately began picking up all of the small cosmetic brushes and other items that fell. I did not put everything back on the pegs, but did stack everything neatly. I was then on my way to the cash register to pay for the items in my basket, and let someone know what happened when a woman verbally accosted me. "You were just going to walk away and not say anything weren't you" she yelled. I turned around, looked at her and said I beg your pardon? She said that she "watched the whole thing, and that I had purposely destroyed her display and that I was walking away." I told her that I was on my way to the register to explain what happened, but she cut me off and complained that I only set the merchandise down instead of replacing all of the items on each individual peg. She then started telling other customers that I had "intentionally destroyed the display." She then told me not to come back and sarcastically wished me a blessed day. If she was watching and saw what happened she would have seen that it was an accident. As a store employee she should have come and asked what happened, and assisted with the clean up. Needless to say I told her that she could keep the items that I had planned on purchasing and that I would never return. Then I called Dollar General to relate my experience, and had to call back 2 more times, never got a call from anyone in corporate until the 5th call at which point I decided that there are plenty of other retailers and Dollar General, where most items are generally over a dollar, will never see my business again. Too bad, because it was convenient, but I will go out of my way rather than give Dollar General another cent of my money.

I explained i examined the box very thoroughly and the missing screw is not there. However, he said it must be there, and it is my problem for not being able to find it. He stated that i have to pay for the return shipping because there is absolutely nothing wrong with this product and this is a brand new product. The worst customer service I have ever received. Strongly advise not to buy any product from this store unless you want no customer service. Of note, i left similar review on instagram and facebook, and they blocked my account. I would not trust their positive reviews on those social media because they are blocking anyone who leaves bad comments about them.

He expects you to show him price comparisons before he will price anything in the shop for you, and he will not give you a price otherwise. Sam doesn't know the value of his own inventory and tries to pull the wool over your eyes if he thinks he can get away with it. He will yell at you and tell you you're "trying to get something for nothing" after you offered to pay an average - not outrageous - price for something you found in his store. After my visit to Sam's store, I've read one review after another accusing Sam of the same type of behavior I was met with today. If you're wondering what was so outrageous about my experience with Sam, then let me lay it out for you... Ultimately, Sam's price was $200 - $300 for a previously owned (definitely NOT like-new condition) early 2000s Lands End Faux Sherpa jacket made out of polyester. Let's back up... When I first asked Sam the price of the coat I was interested in, he told me, "that's the real McCoy!", insinuating that the coat was made of real suede / shearling (which TBH would make a price of $200 - $300 totally fair)... However, I had already looked at the label of the item, as I always do when thrifting and antiquing, so I knew it was polyester and not "real". He then asked me to look up online price comparisons for the item. I conversationally agreed with him that NEW Lands End coats were $200 - $300 in-store, but since this one was pre-owned and not in "new" condition, I was unsure what he wanted for it. I even said that I didn't want to insult him with a price he didn't agree with. Yet he insisted, so I offered him $50 and was chased out of the store with Sam hollering after me. Literally. Since leaving, I haven't been able to find ANY Vintage Lands End Sherpa jackets for more than $70 online (which I only looked up at his insistence) and most are listed for $25-$35 +shipping. As it turns out, I was in fact being 100% fair with what I offered and Sam was the scammer. After this experience, it really appears to me that Sam needs to be looking into retirement, because it looks as if this behavior is becoming a habit for him... Or maybe his business license should be revoked? Is that a thing?? After all, you should really check out the reports about Sam physically assaulting another customer back in August outside his store. They are all over the internet... Now, I just can't wait for his inevitable response on Google Reviews where Sam yells at me more in all caps and tells me I was trying to cheat him and "get something for nothing." I do my best to pick up items that have fallen from their hangers, so as to save the workers a bend or two on their joints. After selecting a few items, you can pop next door and grab some ammo for another evening of defending your home from invaders; or simply tie-dye your new (used) shirt.
