It breaks my heart to say that this store has turned into a dump. I went in on October 8, 2025, probably for the last time. It is a shadow of its former self. It is unfortunate that JoAnn's closed and they stayed open, from a quality standpoint. Shelves are half-empty, with every aisle filled with boxes of stock. And it was the same way after JoAnn's closed. I assumed they had increased their inventory as a result and I gave them many months to clean it up, but it's even worse. (I have no idea how long it's been since the floor has been cleaned or even swept.) I know people work very hard there (though I only saw two cashiers the brief time I spent in there), and that makes my negative observations even sadder. read more

I've been making the rounds to nearly every Michaels in the area in an attempt to collect all their metal decorative flowers now on 70% clearance. It was my first time at this Michaels and I was impressed! It's clean, well stocked, and the the staff was really friendly and beyond patient. I watched a family literally shakedown their $5 "surprise" boxes in an effort to find a particular color of yarn and the staff person kindly interrupted to explain the concept of the "surprise" box and patiently asked them to stop opening the boxes. They didn't listen, unfortunately, but I did admire the restraint they showed in the face of some chaos. And I found 3 of the flowers to complete the display on my deck. Hooray! read more

I stopped at this Michael's to take advantage of an 80% off sale on chalkboard globes. I found them quickly and accidentally knocked over a small rack - it didn't break, just made a really loud noise, but an employee immediately came running to make sure I was okay. I was fine, just embarrassed. Checkout was a breeze. Otherwise, the store has a large variety of crafting supplies and baking stuff. I watch for the sales and make sure you sign up for their email offers as you'll get great coupons! read more

Opening my bag after getting home from shopping at Michaels-I realized one of the packages my Brea Reese Alcohol Ink -leaked at some point, in my 30 min drive home. The outer package was not opened and yet black ink was all over the bag, the receipt and my other purchased products . The very next day I brought it back in and was told I couldn't exchange it -firstly because they didn't sell the product... once I produced the ink stained receipt, she was able to find that I had indeed purchased it from their store.. Once again, the outer package was clearly not open. The manager was called up and after inspecting the package for 5 seconds said that the cold temps must have frozen it and then it exploded inside the package ! I tried to explain that although the temps were cold- it could not have froze that soon.She had no time to handle this , started walking away saying she would not be able to re-sell it (no kidding!) so no exchange-no return. Not only did I have to clean up the mess this ink made but looked it up and this ALCOHOL ink can't freeze.. and certainly not in 30 mins...Clueless cashier - and too busy of a manager to actually look into why it leaked!! 9$ gone.. Joannes is right next door-will be shopping there from now on. read more
