Was out early from work, bound to Michaels for after Christmas Decors clearance sale when my husband suggested that we go to Hobby Lobby. Was able to find what I need for next year's holiday ;-) Saved a lot! I'm into baking so I find the cake decorating items and prices are almost the same as Michaels. Not sure if they offer coupons but in Michaels, I can get as much as 60% an item. Hobby Lobby has more space, and there are other items on display that are not found in Michaels. I find their display to be more chic and categorized, even the men could probably buy stuff there too ;-) What I liked about this location is that they look organized and the manager or supervisor at the front desk was very helpful, and talking to people and ask them if they need some assistance. They are living in the stone ages. To return an online order you have to take the item with a paper receipt. They need to write a bunch of stuff on the paper, call up a manager to approve and then can only give cash or store credit back?! I am a big online shopper so this has definitely deterred me. read more

Went to return a gift that was not usable, Gift, so no receipt. Had to wait for two people to figure out what to do and then even longer for the person they said was the manager, Matt. Then without looking up what the return price would be Matt just said he would only give 10% of what the price indicated. He decided this after he tried to open the unopened, unused item. He seemed unsure of the return policy and was rude about the way he handled it. What a horrible, convoluted return policy. Very uncustomer friendly. Checked with the person the gift was from and it was purchased recently, so not for 90% off. Definitely will not encourage gifts from there any time soon. read more

Went in to check it out after an early dinner in Novi. It reminds me a lot of Joann fabric. I was looking for wall decals for a baby's room, but only found some sayings decals and random wall design but nothing for a baby's room. The rows of silk flowers is reminiscent of Joann for sure. Lots of things for DIY and a ton of Christmas decorations and crafts for Christmas. read more

Being retired, I enjoy going to the Hobby Lobby Novi Michigan store. I shop there regularly for one specific item in the Hobby section, and with the 40% off coupon, it's a good price. Since regular hobby shops are non-existent any more, Hobby Lobby is the only store I can find what I want. The store is always organized, neat and clean, including the facilities. The employees are always cheerful, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Novi, MI Hobby Lobby store. read more

I have been to this store appox.15 times. I have yet to leave the store with all the items I need to do my projects. When you advertise items on sale, you should have a sufficient inventory to offer. I use quite a few of the decorative knobs etc. My last visit (last week) proved to be another let down. read more

Selection Service I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday in need of getting some things framed for a Christmas gift. No one else in the market was able to help get this done before Christmas and it was a very special gift for our son so I didn't have high hopes that Hobby Lobby would be able to help. Boy was I wrong! Not only were they able to cut a piece of mat for the 3 items I needed to frame on the spot they went above and beyond helping me put it in the frame and secure hooks on it. I left so happy and thankful for the expertise of Jackie and Emily that I have been telling everyone. I have spent thousands of dollars here, for crafts, birthday parties, gifts, decorations, you name it. I've been thankful I bought items in the past that I liked. The biggest problem here is the absolutely terrible return policy. I'm one to buy extra or buy different styles to see what works best, then return the excess. I always have trouble returning from Hobby Lobby. I brought back a frame I got that didn't match my daughter's room. They said it was an old style they didn't carry in store anymore, I couldn't return it. I went shopping around and found it fully stocked on the shelf, when I brought it up to the counter, they still refused to return it. They said the sticker was old. This is one example of many I've experienced of being turned away from a return. They find some excuse not to take it or give you a run around. I don't shop here unless I know they have exactly what I need and I'm sure about keeping it. I give this store two stars because they have a wide selection of everything you could ever need for crafts and parties, just keep in mind you're basically stuck with it if it doesn't work out. read more

The worst customer service ever by a manager. I bought some summer items that didn't work out. I came back a week later to return them with the receipt. The items had the tags on them but no code, the manager precedes to tell me it's not the right receipt. I told her I have only been to this store once and this is the bill. She write on the return slip no receipt. She argured with me for another ten minutes before finally giving me my $16 that's right only $16. This is deplorable customer service to say the least. I am really happy to finally see a nice business in that old Border's Bookstore. The store is spacious. I had a good experience there. The store was well kept, neat and organized, which is really important to me, especially in this type of store. I found so many things I needed, and others I didn't know I needed until I found it there. There are SO many cute holiday and seasonal things, many things for special occasions too. The one line to get checked out was long, but it was for all three registers, and it moved along ok. Plus, it was a Friday afternoon, so it was a busy time of day. I don't have any complaints. Stopped in their this morning to pick up an item that I could not find at JoAnns or Michaels even though I know they had it, and was amazed by the cleanliness and accuracy of this Hobby Lobby. I have only shopped at hobby lobby one time. And I was over charged for the drawer knobs that I bought. Of course I didn't catch it while still at the store, so a few days later when I went to the store with the receipt for a price adjustment. I was told by the cashier that in order to receive a price adjustment I had to remove the knobs from the dresser and bring them back to the store. I believe that is the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. So I called later that night and spoke to a manager, yep that's the policy, so I had to remove the knobs and take them back, I was so tempted to take the drawers back to the store. But they told me they preferred I remove the handles, before I came to get my money back. Really so it appears hobby lobbys policy is to inconvience a customer for an employee's error. Ugh I don't plan on shopping here. Unless I completely check the receipt before leaving the store. read more
