This store not only had a good selection of Gundam model kits, but also of other Japanese animation series kits. Also, the owner is a very courteous person and offers discounts on all items. There is a display case that features customers built models, a magazine rack that contains many hobby magazines and a good selection of all types of kits. Some examples are classic ships, battleships, spaceships, monster kits, airplanes and of course cars. They sell Aurora Model Motoring cars and parts and also train sets, cars and lots of train set layout scale buildings and people. It is worth a trip to check out the eclectic stock of items at this little shop. They seem to carry items that other shops do not have. That's what makes trips to different hobby shops fun. You never know what you may find that they do not make anymore, and West Point Hobby just might have some of these things. I missed out on 4 kits that I should have bought, plus a neat Chessie Sytem train set that looked tempting. And suffice it to say, I can't even find them now on Ebay! Stop by when you have the time!

Because my doctor's appointment was nearby, I came along with him. I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and scheduled for a C-section tomorrow. While browsing, I found items I intended to purchase, but first needed to use the restroom. I asked the employee at the desk if there was a restroom available, and I was told the closest one was across the street at a gas station. This was confusing, considering this is a shop where patrons often spend hours browsing, trading cards, and participating in tournaments. When I pointed that out, another employee chimed in to say the restroom was "not open to the public" unless there was a tournament. At that point, multiple employees began offering explanations that felt dismissive rather than helpful. As a visibly very pregnant customer, accompanying my husband who is an established patron, being told to walk across the street to a gas station restroom felt incredibly inconsiderate and humiliating. I ultimately walked away because the interaction was becoming upsetting. My husband was equally frustrated, and we left immediately. I understand businesses can have restroom policies, but basic compassion and customer service matter--especially in situations involving pregnancy or medical need. This experience left a very negative impression.

They have everything from cars, model planes, warhammer and GUNPLA. I have never seen the neku bosou series and I'm so happy that I found them here. The store is owned by a super nice couple and I am all about supporting small businesses. The prices are also very competitive! Every thing that is marked regular price is 20% off and they have a monthly competition where they gift a buyer $50 if you bought at least $20 worth of stuff. At the time of this review, it was my second visit in 20 days and I still came out with a huge haul (see pic). Recent purchases from here were stencils kits purchased as a gift for a young man in the hospital and he loved them. I purchased two games recently Yahtzee and chess and picked up curbside. The chess set is well made with durable pieces and a great value. Before the pandemic, it was a fun store to browse in and look at the variety of vintage and modern toys. They also carry that line of books about towns or cities history with vintage pictures. Tecumseh has a rich history especially and some local buildings and landmarks are well preserved.
