Manager in the parking lot meeting with a friend???
    Mary S.

The selection is very poor here at this store- this after navigating thru sleeping homeless on the sidewalk out front the next door Half Price bookstore, having to deal with having only one cashier checking people out and lines back into the isles on a routine basis enough to where I noticed today while checking out that there IS a manager there who looks like a crackhead herself and hides in the manager office. Today I saw her, she FINALLY came out and checked out a huge line of people behind me. Not my lucky day to get a break. THEN after she relieved the line she went back to hiding... or so I thought. Oh no, her friend was outside or was it someone else (not insinuating a deal being made) but looked suspicious IMHO. You decide, I decided this ain't my cuppa tea over here no matter how cheap the stuff. I'd give zero stars but the long suffering cashier Mason is a sweetheart and doesn't deserve the BS he goes thru and he stays positive.

I realize that this is just a dollar store and I shouldn't expect much for a dollar store but when I'm paying for products and I'm at the register you would think that the woman at the register will take a little bit more time and effort to wrap the glass products that I'm purchasing. She didn't even greet me she didn't really acknowledge me barely even talk to me in fact her whole Persona or Vibe she was giving off was just totally not customer service. It was as if she didn't even want to be working there. I give the store a 2 stars because they have the products I needed but I will not give any more stars because the customer service lady at the counter was inconsiderate and rude. I dont think I will be back...

Wtf is going on with this back room?!?!? Soon as I saw this I abandoned my cart and walked out. I have a job in retail and primarily work in the back room and this would be a huge reason to get fired...UGH! Get it together!

Been here multiple times this week, multiple times a day even, to fill up on holiday cheer. And everyday the store has been fully stocked and organized. Aisles were free from debris despite being so busy.

I'm not sure if they've got new employees, so my review isn't about all employees because I've been…read morehere a few times and never had any issues until today. For more than half of my time in the store I continuously had multiple workers staring me down, and then two just following me around multiple times which gives me the feeling that I'm being looked at like I'm going to steal. This normally wouldn't bother me because I'm not a thief but it bothers me because I've given zero reason for anyone to be looking at me or following me like this. It creates a nasty narrative, and a hostile environment. Until you've been given a reason to need to follow someone, don't... I'm an indecisive person, but I'm also a gay male in a thrift store playing gospel music, so it's bad enough I already feel like I'm not wanted here but to follow me around and look at me while talking to co workers multiple times doesn't put a good feeling on a customer. And there's a chance that maybe this wasn't the case but I'd be an easy target. There's not a huge selection of men's clothes or shoes and if there is it's mixed up with the women's so I look in ever aisle and I feel like I got stares because I was in the women's aisles but there was a plethora of women's things in the men's aisle so maybe they just need to reorganize? The prices on some things seems incredibly capitalist, I see a whole couch for $19.99 which is a great price, but then I'm looking at a pair of shoes for $24.... Where's the relief in that LOL I have to admit they have some pretty good items, but the prices seem greedy. I don't know how much of the proceeds go to disaster relief but if it's not 100% then it seems pretty disturbing, prices are getting to be like Goodwills and there's no good will in that ‍ All in all, this truly is a great store but this was not a good experience for me so I may seek another store.

This is what this place has always been about... not buy junk at retail, then have to put in extra labor and money to install/renew the item. as i was walking around i could literally hear other people gawking and talking about how bad the prices are. one couple played a guessing game with each other and were also astonished when they would reveal the price. this is how bad it has gotten. i will maybe give this place one more chance in a month but honestly, id suggest everybody try elsewhere if youre looking for someplace affordable. im so incredibly dissapointed as i used to really vouch for and love this place.

They have a little of everything, but mostly what I could see it was items for home improvements. Cabinets, counters, sinks, toilets, tubs, bed frames, paint cans, kitchen tables, entertainment stands. Loathed with doors, window, flooring, wood and tile. There's a lot in this store. Didn't se that big from the outside. But it's big inside and they pack a lot in. I wasn't coming here with any expectations. I just wanted to poke around and see what they weee about.

I'm always on the hunt for commercial friendly clothing to add to my acting wardrobe closet without spending a ton of $$$ and I always have great luck here. The main section of the store, everything is $3!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: $3. Clothes, shoes, accessories/jewelry. $3. Everything is very organized & there are dressing rooms with amazing lighting. The workers are super friendly! They also have a big premium section with things ranging $15+, but items that are worth it! I found so many amazing unique pieces, including very flattering extra long vintage 90s jeans on the baggier side (I'm a tall girl) for $15 - I was SHOOK. I went there again yesterday and found amazing pieces! There is also a free section outside in the back (for those in need). Thank you for making a difference!!! This is what thrifting is about and way too many thrift stores in Austin have completely lost the plot. 1000/10, recommend Heartening!

Some people are also aggressive, I've had people just snatch a clothing item I'm holding out from my hands and walk away. I don't know why this goodwill doesn't do anything about the aggression at these bins. Not to mention, there are some families that camp out at the bins all day and leave their children widely unattended without any sort of protection, there are usually little kids playing around with items and digging through stuff without gloves. Besides that, I've been here three or four times and found a couple really good finds. Some days I find nothing of value and other days I find some pretty good stuff. If you come to the goodwill outlet, just make sure to wear gloves, because I've literally came across diapers and dirty undergarments. Also be sure to wear a face mask because there is a lot of dust and I'm always sneezing around the bins.

I'll come another day. I did come here in a mission though, and that was for a new luggage bag. I didn't want hard case, and I didn't want expandable. I just recently flown to California and to Maine, and on both trips, I saw people having to rearrange their bags to zip up the expandable part of their luggage, and that the hard cases don't fit in their luggage sizing at the gate. So I want something thin that has some wiggle room to flatten out. I saw only 2 that I liked and fit the sizing I liked, but they were still $80. I think I'll keep looking. I still have time before my next vacation. Since I was there I wanted to walk around and look at their holiday decor. They do have some cute things for wall, and for Halloween. But for me. I'm done decorating for the seasons and holidays. But still like to look at them.

So before wasting my time, I asked an associate if I could return a carry on suitcase that had not worked (defective rollers) on the one trip this month it had been used on. She said yes. I waited in line 25 min only to have an unfriendly manager tell me I couldn't return it or even exchange it because it had been used and was scuffed from its one airline trip. I travel once a month. My last carry-on with roller lasted 13 years! No scuffs, btw. This one was junk, even if a Samsonite. This experience is exactly why I shop Amazon. Easy return system. I'll never shop at a TJ Maxx again. Certainly not the one in Great Hills! Terrible service. The manager wasn't even polite, just rude about it. Didn't even have a minute to talk about it in a civil manner.
