I have had problems with an extremely rude cashier, Agnes. The first incident occurred approximately two months ago. During a checkout the credit card machine would not read my selection. I used my card, my finger, and then the pen stylus but still would not read my selection. I informed her of the problem and she smacked her teeth and moved to make the selection herself. after her third try of scanning her finger as if it was a biometric reader it finally accepted the selection. She then looked at me with content as if I was too stupid to operate the machine. Today I went into the store to purchase diapers, a stapler, and sewing kit. I grabbed the diapers and stapler but was unable to locate any sewing kit. I went into the line behind someone and asked Agnes if Dollar General sold sewing kits and it so where were they located? She sighed and stated, "I'll have to show you because men don't follow directions well." The women in front of me was shocked and worried about my reaction to the rude comment. I simply stated to Agnes that she might think she was funny but what she said was simply rude. I left and did not make my purchases as I intended or purchase the four gallons of milk (I have tow young boys who drink a lot) like I always do. I then drove two blocks down the street to Greaud's Grocery store and purchased everything I needed at a slightly higher price. I probably spent $10 more than I would have at Dollar General but I think good service is worth the cost. I am tired of this rude cashier darkening my day with her disrespectful attitude and rude service. read more
