I mean if you have 6 items in your basket, you pay $6 plus applicable taxes... 3 items you pay $3 plus the applicable taxes, you get where I'm going. Different from other (ehhhhhh ehhhhhmmmm clears throat) "dollar" store types, EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING in the store is a dollar. Well, I did see 2 for $1 pieces of loose candy, but NOTHING is over a dollar, shall I say it that way. Only downfall, which really isn't a downfall, but more a lesson in self control, is that you can spend loads of cash in here, I mean you can really do so "dollar spending damage". Ample parking because it's located in a strip mall. Friendly, hard working staff (poor lil lady). Long lines (booooooo). Im a fan. I found the store to…read morebe clean, pleasant staff greeted me as I entered the store, the aisles were spacious enough for me to move down them without hitting or bumping another person. I found the prices to be fair and in-line with the competition in the area. I like the rewards program because it rewards you for spending money which most retail establishments don't. So I will find myself in a Big Lots every now and again looking to see what little knickknack items I can pick up. What a joyful experience.

Overall the store had great selection and organization (for a Dirt Cheap). Furniture and sporting equipment are in the "foyer" opening when you first enter. Clothes take up the rest of the front and middle of the store. Bedding and curtains line the back wall. Everything else is in between! For the best deal finding, download the Dirt Cheap Deal Finder app before your trip. It may not always scan, but you don't have to wait until getting the register to see tour deals. Once we reached the register, the staff was super kind, helpful and willing to dish out the deals! We found shoes for 50 cents, make up for 9 cents, Christmas ornaments for 10 cents, clothes galore and a bar stool for $25! If you're unfamiliar with Dirt Cheap, they have many great name brands for crazy, discount price, but it's up to you to hunt down the deals! Can't wait to visit this Dirt Cheap location again! There are racks and racks of clothes for women, men, and children. Almost all of the items at this store are from Target or Gap. The majority being from target. There are boxes and boxes of target furniture, tons of toys, rugs, decorative pillows, comforters, sheets and it goes on. You never know what you are going to find or what will be on sale. It is worth it to go and check it out at least once a week. The downside is that there is a lot of stuff that is broken or ripped so you have to make sure what your buying is in good condition. I am not sure I would make the trip out to their Florida Blvd location though. Today was a time killing trip. Waiting on a car repair so I walked over. I immediately spotted the large Valentine's Day arts and crafts and giveaway selections. Most of the items are from the target $1-$5 section so at dirt cheap that makes them $.50-$2.50... works for me! I also found two awesome Mossimo brand purses and a non brand pink clutch. In the food aisle I scored with a few cases of Ozarka sparkling water. Tip: always check the expiration date on the food and to be sure it isn't open! These packages get handled a lot and often bust. I found a Barbie brand doll and accessory for 1/2 off retail too. I also got two packs of BabyGanics swim diapers for $3.50 each! As with any discount store you have to to due diligence to be sure you're actually getting a good deal. But most of the time it's at least 30% less than in the store , if not more. The aisles are crowded and messy so be prepared to dig and sift - but if you have the patience and time you'll be rewarded with saving a pretty penny!

There are some great bargains here for the frugal shopper. A trip to ollies is a bit like a retail garage sale. You never know what they got a deal on till u stop in. It's a shopping adventure.
