The only downside is the light to make a left into this parking lot takes soooo longgg. Once you're inside though, there are always plenty of parking spots. Tops is open 24 hours and this place has so many different choices, even for salad dressings! I came here to kill time to wait for my boyfriend to get off work at 11 since I got off work at 9:30. Even that late, there were still many bakery items and prepared foods. This was around the time of the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction, so I came here and got some prepared meals for the busy weekend ahead. The manager who was helping bag the groceries was very nice and friendly even though it was pretty late then. I would definitely recommend this Tops! Don't know why it has such low ratings.

I also like it when Peggy is back in the deli department as she is so helpful, and has turned me on to a couple of good items there. I never thought I'd be buying my cold cuts in Wal-Mart. But here I am every week. I would also like to give props to Jane the beautifully kind woman that works on the register. She's always very happy to see me. And last year when I had a couple of operations, she was always praying for me and checking on me whenever I came back afterwards. I love the prices and everything here. But it's the people that make you stand Head and shoulders above everybody else. I would be remiss if I didn't say thanks to one of your great workers named Ron. Was making a dish tonight, had my sauce all prepared, opened up the package of chicken and started to put the chicken thighs in when the most grotesque odor hit my nose that I nearly threw up. The chicken was absolutely beyond rotten. I check every date on anything I buy at that store because I've ended up with dozens and dozens of spoiled product. I didn't know you actually had to unwrap the chicken to smell it now too! Of course, all this resulted to me having to remake the sauce, which cost me more money and time, and had to go back to that miserable store and get the chicken replaced. Did they offer to cover the cost of the other ingredients I lost because of the spoiled chicken? Of course not they just hand me back my $8.52 from the spoiled package of chicken. I wish I could give this place negative stars and avoid it 100% but sadly they're the only grocery store within 20 miles and they print money because of the tourists so they have zero motivation to change or get better. Organization is a suggestion here, a rough guess that what you think something qualifies as is also what the floor setters of OSJB think that item qualifies as. I came in looking for nothing. I drive by the location easily 3 times a week and finally had some quiet down time to just go browse. That's really the only way to do this unless your shopping list is also vague. There was a lot of shelf stable food items including snacks, coffee, cereal, candy, and more. I didn't recognize too many of the coffee brands but still opted to give Papa Nicholas' hazelnut creme a try. In general I didn't recognize a lot of brand names, so it kinda felt like the discount store for the dollar store discards. Pricing however didn't always reflected that. The household items is definitely where organization got odd; "domestics" was the sign hanging overhead that area and it covered everything from large rugs to women's thongs. Everything! Shoes, office supplies, clothing, toys, planters, fans, etc. Even just a touch more subdivision would go a long way! Also, specifically, the shoes were nasty - some of them had literal mold growing on them, others had clear signs of wear on the sole. These must've been returns then sold off, and it was incredibly off-putting. Ultimately I also ended up finding a bookish spooky season blanket for $10, some cozy wool socks for $4, a pack of chapsticks for $6, and the bag of coffee for $8. The blanket and the socks felt like a steals whereas the chapsticks felt like there weren't any savings, and the coffee was even properly labeled so I ended up being duped by that, but still opting to get it since it was only a few dollars difference. I do wish I could give half stars because this does feel more in line with 2.5 than 3 stars, but I can see why people come back for the price points, especially something that might not get a lot of life out of it like party decor or kids clothing.
