They always have a special deal going on meat which is 5 packages for $19.99. It is usually a good deal. They also make up some bundles of meat, various kinds with a big discount. Call me crazy for writing a Walmart review, but I think this Walmart is pretty stupendous because…read moreit is much cleaner and much more organized than the average Walmart! Also, I discovered that they carry all sorts of unique and obscure items that I never knew they carried before. I saw they carried a brand of sauerkraut that comes in bags with different flavors. They also had bottles of "shots" like pickle, kim chi, or jalapeno juice. I have no idea who takes these kinds of shots but it was super interesting to me. They're non-alcoholic and are found in the refrigerator section in the back. Also, they had a huge selection of probiotic yogurts, protein smoothies and granola snacks that are fresh and in the refrigerator, and cool ice cream brands I've never heard of before. I tried a brand of ice cream called Culture Republick and debated between the lemon and graham flavor versus the milk and honey flavor. First off, those flavor combinations scream me. Second, this wasn't one of those vegan, non-creamy, soy style ice creams. I got the 2nd flavor and thought it was so delicious, so creamy, and really satisfying because it had fewer calories than the average ice cream pint. I ended up eating the entire thing in 2 sittings in under 12 hours. I also got sticky bras from here and was surprised to see that they had several styles. One style they carried that I hadn't seen before was where the sticky part goes on the shirt rather than on your breasts. This way, you can avoid the sticky-sweaty summer situation where your sticky bra falls off due to all of your sweating. This happened to me at Coachella one year. They also have a bunch of cute pajama shirts for $6.44. There is no better bargain!

During the winter months, its short staffed, due to low traffic volume. Cooperstown is a seasonal place, busy in the summer and dead in the winter. This store is much busier in summer, and the quality of help, the amount of stock, and level of service improve, since more business = more hours to run the business. Plenty of parking, next to other businesses, so its a nice little shopping center. You can get a lot of things in one trip without driving all over. Not crowded or congested like it is driving into town, where one cannot get around easily in the summer months due to the tourist influx.

We found the welcoming yellow door of Good Grocer as we got into the heart of town & happily found that they stocked every single thing we needed ... and nothing we didn't! They had a wide variety of things neatly packed into a small (CLEAN!!) space & they couldn't have been friendlier. We visited a few times over the weekend, thankful for their hours of operation. Each time, everyone was super friendly & helpful. Every product we purchased was super fresh, which speaks to how quickly stock is rotated. Our favorite thing was the fresh rotisserie chicken! Oh my gosh, Costco could NEVER!!! We loved it so much we came back twice for more & now that we're home almost 2 weeks, we've talked about it several times LOL I can go on & on about all the good things about Good Grocer, but you should check it out for yourself if you ever find yourself in the area because it is a gem!

As frequent visitors, we want to unconditionally love Frog Pond Farms, because it's clearly a LOT…read moreof work to offer what they do and we respect that kind of hard work. When our daughters were toddlers, they could spend all day looking at the animals while we browsed through the enormous quantities of plants and produce. But we can't continue to ignore the "cons". The parking lot looks like it's been bombed, and - as other reviews have noted - it's not exactly the safest place when you consider lots of children running around. Visitors must be extra vigilant and patient when pulling in and finding a place to park. On busy days, the one long narrow strip of parking spots can be a challenge. The far end of the business where chicks, ducks, and bunnies are sold is incredibly fly infested. Fly paper rolls could go a long way in making it more tolerable. I'm not sure if the horrid conditions in some of the cages impacts the health of the birds, but I can tell you we purchased 5 silkie chicks a couple of weeks ago, and two of them died within days, and a third is showing signs of distress. This is not the first time we've had this experience with animals we've purchased there - sick animals, inaccurate sexing. We have stopped considering Frog Pond as our "go-to" place when we want to add to our flocks. The flies are also a problem in the fruits and vegetables. I was browsing the display of berries and grapes and completely rejected any notion of buying them with the quantity of flies that were landing on them. I don't know if there's a solution to that, being that it's - in effect - an outdoor farm stand. Look, there's a lot that's amazing and wonderful and unique about Frog Pond. The work they put in to stocking it, the amazing math wizard at the register who adds everything up in his head just like his dad did, etc. The place has gotten a LOT bigger since we first discovered it and that growth may be working against them. Other reviewers have stated much of the produce is trucked in from outside the area, and not grown locally. Not sure if that matters to most people, but the place does give the "vibe" that it's a local source farm stand that offers plentiful heaps of whatever's in season. The prices are quite a bit higher than what you'd pay for similar items in local grocery stores, but again - we understand the overhead must be pretty substantial for Frog Pond. If you have children - especially little ones - they'll see the place as Disney. When the magic wears off, though, and you start noticing how many greenbacks you're handing over when you go, you start to consciously reflect on whether it's worth the trip out there.
