Last 5 times I've gone in to consignment - appropriate nice items (seasonal, clean/used once/ name brand/ unique) I have been turned down. With a little snarkiness from cashiers each time. My items are just as good or better then flannel shirts missing buttons with holes And safety pins. I feel befuddled... buying a pair of Guess shoes with the leather wearing out on the inside..... to make the point! This is the first review I ve ever made .... Please go back to the original conceptual feeling of your business. Buying into only major brands and stock makes this like every place else, and unflattering to people like myself that love coming to your store for something unique and politeness.

Walmart is like a magnet it will draw in customers from the worst to the best. I suggest that if you are concerned about that simply go to walmart.com and actually purchase the items online, after comparing the item with its competitors, also online, and then the store employees will put it in your cart as a completed purchase. Don't be hesitant about asking an employee for assistance or even going to Customer Service for assistance. The perennial scam in all Big Box stores is excessive returns and misuse of the self-payment registers. Be assured that all stores have the same security methods and they are quite good at catching the bad people. If you just want to walk around and shop another suggestion is to call the store and ask them if they have a specific item, and to actually hold it for you. There is an excellent free Walmart app for your smart phone to make shopping much easier by actually locating the item and current price. Walmart still has a policy of meeting the cost of all other "local" competitors with the actual flyer listing prices. The pizza and Italian-type foods are the mainstay of many college people. We got a cheese pizza, bought some fresh mushrooms and put it on the pizza and it really hit the spot. We did self checkout and there was a minor issue scanning some items, but a female worker came by to help and she was really helpful and friendly.

I've always heard they have some decent stuff and some prices at ALDI are lower than regular markets. They do have a good variety of stuff, from name brand items to some generic stuff that seems to be a lot cheaper than other places. They also have a decent selection of snacks, fruits and vegetables, and also all types of breads and meats. We were able to load up on groceries that will last a few days and the total price was not too bad. I'm not sure if the prices are just lower here in Oneonta, but I can't wait to go back to an ALDI in so cal and hopefully find the same great deals and values.

It is now a multi-vendor antique/collectible store. It is really fun and interesting to browse. Some items can be expensive, and others are reasonable- it all depends on the seller. One thing is for sure, there is a TON to look at here, and spread across multiple floors. FYI it is not handicap accessible; you will not be able to view the upper floor if you are in a wheelchair. There is free popcorn, which is kind of a neat gimmick, and I really appreciated it. It might keep your kids quiet long enough for you to do some hard-core browsing. Definitely a place to hit up if you wanna nab some old cracked Precious Moments figurines (I know I do!) or rusty kitchen appliances that probably don't work (I definitely do) or some old musty cardigan sweaters (I'll take 'em all!). And if you're prepared to drop the big bucks, you might get lucky and find an old English Leather Aftershave gift set at the front counter. Some chipped depression glass, old postcards and a busted-up violin might also be within your reach too depending on the day. When I stopped in recently I scored a Golden Girls Christmas sweatshirt and an ugly retro canvas suitcase from the 70s, so obviously a damn good haul for me. My girlfriend actually liked the Golden Girls sweater and suggested I wear it to her friend's ugly Christmas sweater party. Naturally, I told her I would sooner burn it than allow it to be worn to such an event. Luckily, it's way too small for me anyway and will probably just sit on a shelf in my closet for a few years until I decide to cycle it out into a garbage bag for long-term storage in the basement. Not the best Salvation Army location i've been to, but a good place to find special party themed clothing. Jewelry is kept in a glass shelf in the front of the store. If you buy glass items, the staff members will wrap it for you in newspapers. There is some furniture, books, lots of clothes, cups, plates, lamps, purses, and decorations for the house.
