Walmart is like a magnet it will draw in customers from the worst to the best. I suggest that if you are concerned about that simply go to walmart.com and actually purchase the items online, after comparing the item with its competitors, also online, and then the store employees will put it in your cart as a completed purchase. Don't be hesitant about asking an employee for assistance or even going to Customer Service for assistance. The perennial scam in all Big Box stores is excessive returns and misuse of the self-payment registers. Be assured that all stores have the same security methods and they are quite good at catching the bad people. If you just want to walk around and shop another suggestion is to call the store and ask them if they have a specific item, and to actually hold it for you. There is an excellent free Walmart app for your smart phone to make shopping much easier by actually locating the item and current price. Walmart still has a policy of meeting the cost of all other "local" competitors with the actual flyer listing prices. The pizza and Italian-type foods are the mainstay of many college people. This store was absolutely disgusting. It was so dirty. Garbage all over the floor in like every aisle. The bathrooms were so dirty that I don't think they have been cleaned in a long time. The dresser we looked at was built so poor that the drawers were falling apart. When asked about buying the floor model ar a discounted price since it was the only one there and very rough, the man was rude. The whole display section of furniture is a mess. I run a store and I would never leave my store looking like this for next days business!! I have pictures of all this I am stating and will be sending to the corporate office so they can see how well their store is ran!! So sad as this used to be a very clean and organized ran store! Even that late, there were still many bakery items and prepared foods. This was around the time of the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction, so I came here and got some prepared meals for the busy weekend ahead. He then told me that the return was returned on a master card and I asked him for the last four because I have a couple master cards & he told me just for the lady to come over and rudely abruptly interrupted him say they didn't need my card info, I informed her I was just asking for the last four to verify which card and she rolled her eyes and walked away. Here, everything looked like it was where it was supposed to be and the clothes section was very straight and proper. I came to pick up some furniture I ordered online and recall that the girl in the back pick-up area kept the space open past their regular hours just for me. The customer service was really great and I appreciated her helping me. There is always plenty of parking here as well though the pavement could use some smoothing out. There isn't much to do in a town like Norwich (as well as its surrounding towns) so this is definitely the place to hang-out at for most folks in the area. I know kids in Sherburne definitely frequent Walmart on a bored night out. I also came looking for mugs and was surprised that the selection wasn't bigger. I ended up buying a moscow mule mug that was pretty sturdy and large for a great price.

When George passed away last year, the business was purchased. The new owner has preserved and improved all the vintage aspects of the store, but the new inventory is something else! To die for! From women's clothing, to men's clothing, to children's clothing, accessories, fabrics, buttons & yarns, housewares, candles soaps, literally EVERYTHING is artistic, interesting (often unique) and tempting! If I walked into this store in an upscale, trendy place like Saratoga Springs, I would be delighted. That it is in Delhi is simply unbelievable. What a treasure trove!
