The worse food experience I've ever had. I order my food online because that is the only way they allow you to do it if you want to place an order. When you call their number it does not work. Which prompt you to place your order online. I placed my order online. I received an email confirmation and a text confirmation. I actually received two email confirmations. Text tells me what time will be ready. I drive to the place to get my food and they refused to give me my food they say at first they don't do DoorDash, even though there is a sign when you pull up that says that way for DoorDash. They then told me and switch the storyby saying my receipt didn't print out so they can't give me my food because they don't see the order. I am showing them my receipt that they text me and emailed me, but they still refused me. I had my kid with me in the car and that's who I came to get food for. No matter how many times I show them my receipt that they emailed me. They refused to give me my food because they said they lost my receipt and refused to refund me. So basically they are telling me they have no way to look at the orders placed online, how stupid is that and how does that make sense???? You can't see the order and you can't help me. About 30 minutes after leaving they didn't text me and say oh we found your receipt, you can come get your food. I already drove an hour. Why would I come and drive back to get food that they refuse to give me after telling me I never ordered. I also got a text with an update on my order from the original system that texted me. How is it that they were able to go into their system and mark my food as done if they couldn't see my order before????? How does any of this make sense. You refuse to give me my order and food because you lost my receipt and thennnnn then say there's no way for you to checks??? LIARS AND SCAMMERS ! They steal your money!! I explained as soon as i pulled into the drive way that i live an hour away and how long will it take?? They knew i was not going to come back and get that food after they refused to help me. It was a horrible experience. How do you refuse something someone paid for because they don't have their stuff together with their busines. Look at the picture of the text telling me to come back for my food after refusing to give it to me with multiple proof that i ordered. Oh and get this at first they tried to act like they were making my food and then suddenly oh we can't give it to you

Nothing to write home about. Food is kinda of bland but not much is to be expected for the price you're paying. I wouldn't make this date night or anything, but more like a quick lunch for the kids. They have a steam bar/table (think food court samples) with food that looks like it might have been sitting for a while. I opted for wings and drinks for $7, my husband took the lunch special for $4.99. He gave me a discount for whatever reason, so I paid $10 for both meals. It's a lot of food for the price, just kind of bland. We will take he kids back for lunch to try other items on the menu.

Canton House - Chicken feet (non-spicy)

The Canton House on Buford Highway is my family's go-to for authentic Cantonese dim sum in Atlanta…read more The food is always up to expectations each and every visit. Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

I was quite surprised that I was able to get a table when I went on a Saturday 11ish AM (peak…read moredimsum hours!). Good service with the push carts rolling around passing the tables often. We started with the flower tea, amazing choice! Sweet and warming, nicely aromatic. Perfect start. Then the dim sum carts rolled in and we chowed down. DISHES I ORDERED - Siu Mai: Not the best I've had. Quite oily on the outside, but the flavor isn't bad. It does...taste like siu mai. It's just nothing spectacular - Chinese Broccoli: A classic! Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!

My husband ordered Mongolian beef and gave it 8 out of 10. I think the only drawback is that it can be loud in there because of all the hard surfaces, and the high ceilings. However, they have many rooms for customers. Looks like it would be a great place for a small or big party! Their private rooms each have their own bathroom. Will definitely go back!

(4/26/25 Update):…read more I came here with my family who had a party room reserved for a birthday party. The room was nicely decorated and had a private bathrrom. There was big screen tv and karaoke setup. That was about it for the positives. Most of us showed up around 6:30pm on a Saturday night. The parking lot was pretty empty in front of Canton House. I looked over into the parking lot of Gohan Buffet and it was super packed vs Canton. We got the Family Dinner ($600) which feeds up to 10 people. We got 2 of them because we had around 20 people. The dinner comes with 10 dishes. 1. FISH MAW CRAB MEAT SEAFOOD SOUP 2. HONG KONG STYLE TWIN LIVE LOBSTERS 3. FOUR SEASONS APPETIZER PLATTER 4. WALNUT SHRIMP WITH FRESH FRUIT 5. STEAK CUBES & ASPARAGUS STIR FRY 6. LIVE DUNGENESS CRAB STIR FRY IN TAMARIND 7. PEKING DUCK WITH LOTUS BUNS (2 WAYS) 8. PAN FRIED CHILEAN SEA BASS WITH SOY 9. SNOW PEA LEAVES IN GOGI BERRY STOCK 10. GOLD & SILVER SEAFOOD FRIED RICE We had the crab soup first which had 0 flavor and I didn't even taste or see any crab inside. It was not good. The Hong Kong Style Lobster was a small portion and I barely got to eat any. 4 seasons appetizer was okay but just mainly fried stuff. Steak cubes were super small and I only had one. The walnut shrimp dish tasted like the honey shrimp from the low budget Chinese buffets. Dungeness crab was nicely decorated but didn't taste good. Peking duck wasn't bad but the portion was too small. It didn't help people in my party was grabbing big portions and being selfish. The sea bass was very good and I loved the crunchy ness to it. The snow peas dish was not very desirable as I had no clue what was inside. The fried rice was garbage as I tasted better fried rice from Panda Express. It had tiny shrimp bits like from low budget shrimp pieces from Krogers. Let's get to the table service part. One of the females had a real nasty attitude and didn't seem like they were too happy to be here. We finished eating and ate our cake. We wanted to have alittle fun with the karaoke but apparently the staff members kept coming in to "check" on us every 5 minutes. They weren't there to check on us as it felt like they were trying to rush us out so they can clean up. One employee even had the nerve to say, isn't it getting dark out? I was highly insulted by this. Affer spending approximately over $1700 at Canton House, I expected alittle more nicer hospitality. And from looking at their regular dining area, which maybe had only 4-5 tables with customers seat. They can use our business as the food here sucks. Affer the 5th time of employees coming to "check" on us, we all got tired and decided to leave. I do not recommend this place as the food and customer service just stinks here. I will definitely not giving them any of my hard earned money on the future. The dim sum as I remembered wasn't the best but I gave them a chance and still gave them a decent review. The value for the food is horrible. But I didn't hold anything back this time as they have been opened for a very long time.

I found the pork belly to be really tasty. There was a nice marinade over the skin and meat, plus the skin was pretty crispy even when some of the pieces got a little too moist inside the container. I thought there was a generous portion of the crispy pork in my meal. There were some mustard greens in the rice plate which added nice variation in taste. I also got a small cup of complementary soup on the side which I did not try but it did smell good. Overall, I think that my meal was pretty good. If you go too early, a lot of things won't be made yet and you will have to wait. Seems the later you go on the weekends, the more options they have. If you order pick up, give it about 25 minutes because they get so busy on the weekends. If you're dining in, it isn't always so easy to get a waiter's attention for things. There were only 3 other tables enjoying their dinner besides us. We ordered two waters and a plate with roasted pork and honey BBQ pork over rice with bok choy. The menu didn't list a price for the combo, so we asked the server/cashier beforehand, and he let us know it would be $14.95 after tax, which we appreciated. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, fresh and hot. The roasted pork and honey BBQ pork were both tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced -- not overly salty, not too fatty, just really well-prepared. The honey BBQ pork had a slightly caramelized glaze with a smoky sweetness, while the roasted pork had a nice savory depth and crispy edges. The bok choy was fresh and cooked just right, adding a nice crunch and balance to the plate. The rice soaked up all the juices really well and tied everything together. Even coming in later at night, the service was straightforward and efficient, and the quality of the food definitely stood out. Solid portion size, comforting meal, and definitely worth coming back for if you're craving classic Cantonese-style BBQ. Amazing food, excellent service, and amazing food; it warranted repeating. I just moved back in to town and was excited to have my favorite Cantonese food in Atlanta but honestly, after our meal today, I don't know that I'll be back and I certainly won't be bringing any more of my friends. Service: Everyone was still really kind. But the food came out slowly for how dead they were. We were halfway there of our dishes when I mentioned to the waiter that two more dishes were missing. He spoke with the waiter who took our order and they said they were coming. A half hour later and the dishes still hadn't arrived. I asked again and they apologize profusely and said it would be out shortly. Unfortunately, that's where the niceties ended... Food: Overall, the food was really bad. The best thing about Cantonese food is how complex the flavors are and when there is a good chef, it is my favorite cuisine in the world. That is what BBQ Corner has been in the past...but not anymore. All of the dishes, especially dishes with sauce, were overly sweet and very one note. The eggplant with garlic came with a bright red sauce that had no garlic in it. When I mentioned to the waiter that it was the wrong sauce, she said "No, that is spicy garlic sauce." I have had that dish at this restaurant at least five times and more than 20 times elsewhere. It was the wrong sauce and the sauce wasn't good. She and another waiter spoke to the kitchen and later apologized. Assessment: I think ownership changed and they took their cooks with them. Instead of the lite, complex flavors of Cantonese food of which they were once masters, this meal felt like mediocre Chinese takeout. While the waitstaff is lovely and mistakes happen (I still tipped 30% because it was Christmas), the food just wasn't good enough to warrant a return trip. I'm sad because this place used to be my favorite...one summer a friend and I ate there three times in one week. But things have changed and definitely not for the better.
