Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon to try this place out. There wasn't anyone there, which for us was great. We were greeted upon entering and the gentleman patient as we looked over the menu. Cafe Hot Wing is all right with me!!! The wings were just the right size & fried to perfection. I usually get hot w/lemon pepper from my regular wing spot but decided to try something a little different since this was my 1st visit. I ordered medium w/lemon pepper & after eating them I am glad I did. I don't know that I would have been able to handle hot w/lemon pepper. Hands down the garlic parmasean wings were the best!! This use to be a family friendly spot but now it's loud music with profanity and the DJ sees the little kids but plays the most explicit music they could find. I placed an order for me and my daughter and because I asked for another order to go and to make me and my daughters food to go they proceeded to tell me that since I placed a to go order after my first order that they would wait to bring out food. Long story short after waiting 40 minutes I get my food. The chicken wings are lukewarm and they did not put the fries in the order so I guess I've learned the lesson don't tell them to add anything to your order because they're gonna punish you for the shit most definitely will never be going back again and the sad thing is I've been a resident and going to this facility since 2004 and I have watched it go down more and more, read more

So it's Christmas Eve 2021 .. This is the first time I've ate here. Let me tell you a lil bit of what I observed here.. First off , the Foreign people that works here is rude as hell. They don't care about you, they just want your money .. Second - They add DOUBLE TAX to every BLACK PERSON THAT ORDERS.. Signs around the store says $11.99 for a 10 piece combo, but by the time they ring you up you'll be paying 14 maybe 15 dollars in all.. Third - WINGS ARE SMALL AND DRY !! They do this purposely so they can CHARGE YOU EXTRA TO MAKE THEM WET. Then they got the nerve to have a tip jar.. child please. Ranch and Blu cheese cups are half filled . You stick 1 wing in there and BOOM , it's gone.. IN ALL- BLACK PEOPLE PLEASE STOP GOING HERE. They don't appreciate us. Find a new hot wing spot and go there. This place is horrible. I'm always down for wings. When an associate mentioned that this was the best place in Atlanta to get wings, of course I HAD to try it. I went on a Monday around 2pm. I'm not sure if there is more parking in another area but the parking in the front was limited. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a cool hole in the wall sports bar but there there were only a few people inside. Ordering was a breeze. I liked that they have a large menu overhead. I didn't have any issues with the service I received and the wait for my food wasn't long. I ordered 20 wings to go. I thought the price for 20 wings was decent since it came out to be less than $1 per wing. Ordering 20 wings allowed me to get two flavors. I ordered lemon pepper and hot. I usually mix two flavors (e.g. hot and BBQ) but that would have been an additional charge so I decided not to do that. I ordered my wings extra wet and crispy which was also an additional charge. I wouldnt have minded the additional charge but the wings didn't come out wet. There was just more sauce in the container which ended up getting wasted in the bag. These were not my favorite wings. I thought they were too small and the flavor wasn't anything to write home about. The only positive was the price, which can easily change to a negative if you have too many specifications like I usually do. Would I return? They used to have the best wings . But things have changed in the last several years. I keep going back hoping they fix it but they don't. The wings are dry and they are cheap with the sauce . Seeing how the sauce is what makes the wings , not enough sauce makes the wings bad. The blue cheese used to be thick now it seems watered down. I think I have gone there for my last time read more

This was my first visit in several years. I was told they just reopened this week under new ownership. They are working on bringing this back to sport bar status. The online menu is not accurate but the fried shrimp and onion rings I had were cooked well. The attendant was friendly and explained they hope to have beer license soon and will start opening on Sundays in September for football season. I only ordered takeout from here 20pc lemon pepper fried crispy with fries celery and blue cheese. The food was hot and waiting inside of 15mins. The fries were not great at all BUT that's how I feel about every place I get those processed frozen French fries... blah..We was slumming that night food at a friends house sooo no complaints from me. Have been going to this place since I was a teenager, so probably 25 years or so. I'm not in Riverdale anymore, but anytime I visit my dad, this is a place I ask to go to (he's not really much of a fan anymore, but indulges me). For just a laid-back, casual spot to get wings and beer, this is the place. The wings are a little small, but I like them that way. They are definitely not huge and messy. Really like the lemon pepper ones. We've always had good service and never had a problem with any orders. Since I don't go that often, can't really say if they've gone down in quality recently, but they seem about the same on each visit. Apparently, there is a location in Marietta (I now live in Cobb County), but haven't tried it yet. read more

I like Cafe Hot Wing. I have visited 3 locations and they all are delivering good deep fried foods that I cannot live without. I was hesitant to go in this place for years because I just knew it was going to be a "Red Neck" type of place and I have a good aim, but I can only shoot one person at a time! :) I came in with my neighbor/sister from a white mother, and It wasn't at all what I thought. Been coming here about 20 years. Just ordered some wings. They got here and my blue cheese thingy was about 25 percent filled. I asked for another same thing. Asked for another, same thing. Ate my wings, they've gotten really small and dry. Got my bill. $1.00 for the additional blue cheese. Was not informed about the additional cost which never happened, not once in I promise 20 years. I bitched to the waitress, who is much more interested in talking with her friends. She says ownership changed four months ago. I said ok. She came back with the change and said they took off the price for one. This place was once the only place to buy wings in Metro Atlanta, north or Southside. However, after spending $60 for food and being asked to .50c for a water cup was the last straw. Good wings. Their wings are crispy but small. I got half mild and half ranch. Both were reallly good. Their garlic pepper wings were also good. The fried rice has veggies including green peppers. I have frequented this place for at least the past 6 years or so. But I have witnessed the deterioration of service and food in the past year or so after tonight I'm done. Straw that broke my back. After calling in my order and the person on phone telling me food(10 piece combo) will be ready in 10 mins, I arrive 15 mins later and staff tells me it will be 15 more minutes until ready I wait another 25 mins for them to tell me they don't have my order. What they do is act like it's my fought and hands me back my money in cash without any explanation or apology. They won't be getting my money anymore. The food is not worth it. This place has been around forever. Personally, I think their wings are awesome. Problem is, the young lady that works there taking orders etc is the worst!!! She is never friendly unless she knows you personally. Im driving and called in to place a to-go order, she answered and immediately places me on hold. At this point, I'm at the restaurant I'm on hold so long. Same girl is chit chatting with customers and I'm still holding. Never greeted me. The other waitress walked around looking stoned. Never greeted me. My order was not taken for 10 more minutes by the stoned girl. The owner walks around counter to check on why he's not hearing his phone ring and I tell him the young lady asked me to hold and never came back. I hate to go from a 4 star to a 2, but my guess is they've undergone a change in ownership and it's simply not the same. Prices have increased, (hey, inflation is everywhere), where as portions and quality have gone down. I've always enjoyed the chef salad with grilled chicken, but the last few times the chicken was overcook and had gristle. The wings are now so small as has the condiment portions and everything's an upcharge. Seriously, and I hate to go here, but drive two miles north to Anthony's. I ordered some hot wings. Since I have been stationed in Atlanta I have went to this location. This time I dont know if the waiter had a lot going on but it was like she did not want to be there. I placed my prder and about 10 min latter, I received my food. Paid for it and was about to walk out. Something told me to check to make sure my order was correct. I was missing some items. I notified the waiter ang the missing was not rung up, so I paid for the missing items. I was told to go into the refriegerator and get my item, never mind that I easily could have got two of them, it's just was not good customer service to get your own item. I went and ordered food from Cafe Hot Wing. I see the guy in the back making my order with NO GLOVES on, so I ask the manager if they use glove when making orders. He says "sometimes". The man making the order then grabs a jacket and puts it on, then completed my order. He never once was out of my sight washing his hands. I'll never know how good their wings are. The wings were over fried, dry, really small and didn't taste good. The French fries were decent but had no seasoning. The food was Luke warm also. I will never eat here again. Yesterday, I called in an order for a 20 piece hot/lemon pepper combined to the location on Hwy 85 in Riverdale, Georgia. The girl that took the order appeared to be new because she kept having to verify things with someone else during the process; however she was very pleasant and even took the time to repeat the order to me. I then sent one of my employees to pick up the order but when he returned with the wings, they were incorrect. I immediately called the store and asked for a manager. After being hung up on (while being on hold for 5 minutes) and calling back to the store again (while being placed on hold AGAIN), I finally spoke with a manager, who initially appeared very pleasant in the beginning and she was asking the cook as well as the young lady questions trying to determine who was at fault. But then she said to me that they have signs posted informing customers to check their order prior to leaving. I was like ok but why should I be held accountable for your employee's mistake. She then became very rude and loud and even yelled at me and eventually hung up on me. I will NEVER do business with this establishment again! read more
