He recommended Debernardi. Debernardi responded quickly to my call and assessed the situation, agreeing with the plumber about the problem. They scheduled a repair in a few days, but had to delay due to a COVID watch limiting their personnel available. We rescheduled for the following week. A worker and Jeff, the owner, came on time (7:45am). We discussed the job, and I said do it for time at $134/hour and materials. The worker removed the siding, fixed the leak, replacing some plastic pipe, put on new siding and repainted (I had some exterior house paint), all by 2:30 pm. They did a fine job. Everyone from Bernardi knew what they were doing, and did what they said they would do.

Following up on the superb kitchen cabinet remodel work that Next Level Custom Woodworking did for…read moreus a number of years ago, my wife and I recently commissioned them to reimagine our dated family room mantle and entertainment wall. The project scope included reengineering our old, stucco fireplace mantle and adding complementary wall paneling. The team also installed crown molding throughout our family room and kitchen spaces and new baseboard throughout our first floor. Using a single concept image that my wife and I had tucked away a while back, Brandon and his extremely talented carpentry specialist, Jesse, collaborated with us to adapt those design concepts to our family room and created a space with which we are extremely happy. We truly appreciated their frequent check-ins to align on design concept options for the finish work and their meticulous attention to detail throughout the project, which included the tireless efforts of painting specialist, Ted. We had long wanted this upgrade to our most frequently used space in our home and we are as happy with this project outcome as we were with the prior kitchen cabinet project. If you are looking for a creative and accomplished woodworking contractor to help bring your remodel visions to life, my wife and I strongly encourage you include Next Level Custom Woodworking in your bid list. We certainly will be using them again as we move to the next phase of our home remodel efforts in the coming months.

Brandon was very easy to communicate with over the phone and by text and he came to the house multiple times to verify measurements before the actual install. He also had us over at his shop to confirm materials and paint/stain color. Fun to see the working space and tools! Did not get any competing quotes but based on the scope of this custom build and what I know about craftsmanship hourly rates I think the price was a good value. We will definitely be contacting Brandon for future projects!

They stand behind their work and when anything went wrong they were there to fix it. Buuuut, that's an issue because EVERYTHING went wrong. Not a single subcontractor did their work correctly and all had issues that needed rectifying - ranging from minor to very much not-minor (lots of extensive tile problem being the major ones). Before selling our house I had to have the crawlspace plumbing completely redone as the pre-sale inspection came back with it not being to code. So I ended up paying for re-plumbing as I didn't want that issue holding up the sale. The costs also went up quickly and "invisibly". Essentially we didn't have a sense of how the expenditures were piling up as a dollar figure wasn't ever attached to a change in plan. So, ultimately it turned out well but it was an effort and it dragged on before it was all finally, for sure, done. In a sense I think the overall might be more accurately 3.5/5 but since the final product was excellent and they DID address everything (that shouldn't have needed addressing in the first place but did) I'm going with 4.

The biggest benefit was having a cohesive design-build team along with impeccable workmanship and attention to detail. We have an older home and they always presented options to fix unknown issues. Andrea was fantastic during the design phase, and Tom, Anthony, and Alan ensured the build quality was top-notch. Rob took such care to keep things clean and neat, and made sure that we had use of our major appliances each night. Even the shop he set up in our garage was immaculate. Rob is also just such a nice, pleasant guy to work with. His communication throughout the planning was great. He was very accommodating when I wanted to make a last minute change to the hardware on our drawers. He even installed some pull outs for us and upgraded our hinges to soft-close. It is like we got a brand new kitchen without the hassle of a major remodel. Our stairs had the standard maple rails from the 90s and we wanted to make them coordinate better with our floors. I've already signed up to use the services of 680 home repair for kitchen , bathrooms, etc. One of the main things I like about this company is there's not a long chain of command and you are dealing with the same person, likely the owner, who is good with communication , whereas with other companies you're often dealing with a different person every day, not always sure what's going on.

Additionally, heavy furniture had to be moved. Steve was very communicative about setting up appointments and letting us know when he would be coming by. Timeline was a bit of an underestimation but overall we were happy with the job his team did. We had about 3-4 guys coming with typically 2 at a time to do the jobs. The team is very hard working and quite polite and respectful. One big positive is that they take care of getting all the materials themselves. All we did was just look up what we liked online and send it over to Steve and he got them for the team to use/install. Payments were very easy as well. He was able to accommodate us not having checks and Zelle payments were an easy way for us to work around that. He was also very flexible in that the bank only allowed a certain amount to be paid per day so he was patient in receiving the amount. Steve also did a final walk through at the end and we identified some touch ups that needed to be made and people from his team came within a few days to make sure that was all taken care of. At the end of it all, we were very pleased with the outcome and the care put in and would recommend 680 Home Repairs if you're looking for some work done to your home.

I found Michael's cabinet co here on Yelp. I was very nervous to trust such an important job to…read moresomeone I found on Yelp but I had asked around and could not find anybody to do what I wanted to fix my cabinets. They all wanted to just paint them. I wanted them restored to the original finish if at all possible. We paid a lot for these custom cabinets 20yrs ago and really wanted them to be restored to look the same. Michael came out to look at them and told me he has never tried to do work like this before but he was willing to try and felt pretty confident he could do it. If we didn't like it we could always paint them after. It was a risk I decided I wanted to take. We could not wait any longer. 2 of our most used cabinets were severely damaged with water damage - one from a hand towel that had been hanging on it for 20 yrs that would often get damp from hand washing and the other our silverware drawer. They removed all of the damaged cabinet & drawer doors (leaving behind about half of them that had no damage as they were less often used and still looked brand new) and took them to their shop in Livermore. This made the job much harder as they then had to match the color to our existing ones. In addition our kitchen has 2 different paint colors so they had to create 2 different finishes - one a stain and one a paint. Linda, an employee of Michael was in charge of the painting and stain work and the artist who did the work on my cabinets in their factory. She showed us photos along the way and then came back out to reinstall the doors plus also repair the water damage we had on baseboards and cabinet sides that weren't able to be removed. She taped everything off in our kitchen to prep and then spent 2 days refinishing all of the rest of the damage. She was very careful and caused zero problems anywhere around her work. The finished product was absolutely 5 stars - could not have gone any better. I have delayed for way too long giving Michael and Linda credit for the work she did but the benefit to that is that I can now say after over a year (finished Sept 2024) of having the refinished cabinets in my kitchen they have held up perfectly and still all look absolutely brand new (helps not having kids living at home anymore!) I would 100% recommend you to trust Michael and his team to be honest, hard working and skilled crafts people for your cabinets. I was so impressed with him, his business, Linda, and all of their work. Thank you Michael & Linda!
