Dolce Vita is an amazing hidden gem of a coffee shop. I'm lucky enough that I work close by so I can get a coffee here on my lunch break. The coffee is always super tasty & never bitter, the customer service is friendly and top notch, and the almond croissants are the best I've ever had. It's in the Oxnard transit center, so it's the perfect place to sit and get some work done if you like working in a bustling environment.
First visit to Dolce Vita Coffee, and it definitely left an impression. Fair warning finding it can be a little confusing at first since it's tucked inside the bus station, but once you know, it's actually a pretty convenient spot. There's also plenty of parking nearby, which makes a big difference. Expect a crowd! this place stays busy but the line moves efficiently and the staff keeps things upbeat and welcoming despite the rush. Service like that doesn't go unnoticed. Their menu is surprisingly extensive: everything from classic coffee staples to specialty drinks, plus a solid selection of breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and macarons. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll be in trouble (in the best way). I went for the coconut and pistachio macarons both were fresh, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Overall, a great local coffee spot with a lively atmosphere, friendly service, and enough variety to keep you coming back to try something new. Pro Tip: Don't let the location throw you off...head inside the bus station and follow the coffee smell. Try to go earlier in the day to beat the rush, and definitely grab a couple macarons before they sell out.
Cute spot for coffee and tea with a few pastries readily available. They also have a good menu for sandwiches and bagels for breakfast. I got the tiramisu latte and it was not overly sweet, smooth and creamy with a dusting of cocoa. I've never heard of a tiramisu latte so I'm glad I got to try something new out. There's ample parking across the street lot and the actual coffee spot is a cool find. It's inside oxnards transit center and it's a vibe.
Love me a good coffee shop with amazing customer service, and this place did not disappoint one bit. I love trying a new coffee shop every weekend, and this visit was such a great experience. A huge plus is that it's family-owned, which always makes it feel more special. I've been recommended this spot for quite a while but never had the chance to try it until now--and I can confidently say I'll definitely be coming back. It's conveniently located inside a train station, which is perfect if you commute or travel by train. They also have plenty of seating if you want to sit down and enjoy your food. I ordered my usual sugar-free vanilla oat latte, and they had plenty of options to choose from. I added banana cold foam, and it was absolutely delicious. The coffee itself was great, but the cold foam really elevated the flavor. I also ordered a turkey sandwich with extra protein, and it did not disappoint. My sister got a bagel with cream cheese, and from the taste of it, it felt homemade. To satisfy our sweet tooth, we also tried a cannoli that the barista mentioned was French-inspired--it was absolutely delicious. I honestly wish I had gotten one just for myself, haha. Overall, this was a great experience. I would come back any day and any time.
I have been here several times. A little hidden gem with delicious and flavorful coffee/ espresso. Everyone is always so welcoming and kind. An enjoyable and relaxing place I look forward to working from.
Best coffee in Oxnard! Don't be shy to visit the train station. You might even consider a train ride to San Diego or Santa Barbara.
I came here on a Friday morning with my sister and the wait wasn't too long. Chill environment, some people were working or studying, and music wasn't too loud. I was planning to get a coffee but once I saw that they're serving Hojicha now I had to get a Hojicha latte instead. I got a Hojicha latte with maple syrup, oat milk and a cream top and it was delicious. My sister got a matcha latte with simple syrup, whole milk and a cream top and hers was also very tasty. As someone who grew up in Oxnard but now lives in LA, I'm very happy to see a place in Oxnard that has quality matcha/hojicha. Will definitely be coming back here whenever I visit! Super friendly baristas too! Loved that they asked for some feedback after a couple sips of our drinks as well.
Such a good find! I love that a coffee shop this good is inside of the station. Good seating. Definitely worth supporting. Staff is amazingly friendly. You'll get what you're desiring here as far as the coffee and pastries. I hope to return soon to try food and matcha!
Matcha was great! As a first timer , I didn't know what to expect but the girl at the register made sure I knew what was the best from their menu and I'm glad she did. Matcha + their mascarpone foam , is so delicious I had to go back even if it's not the closest from me. Can we also add that it's at a train station? The cutest vibes watching the train pass by right behind you !
An unexpected delight nestled with in a train station! Fantastic coffees & teas with flavors I've not seen anywhere else but LA & SF. Warm & friendly staff that serve joy along with fluffy French pastries & treats. The ham & cheese croissant was out of a European cafe good!
What a gem! So unexpected to have a high quality coffee shop in the train station. The Lavender latte and rose vanilla latte were delicious. Rich, smooth, and worth the price. Our drinks were ready very quickly. I think I liked the rose vanilla a tad more. We got the ham and cheese croissant which was good and flaky, but the star was the turkey sandwich. Small enough to hold without making a mess, thoughtfully assembled, and filled with quality ingredients to where you fill satisfied and good about what you ate. The bun was pillowy soft which was delightful! They call out your order by what you got -so keep your ears peeled. Staff is very nice and eating area was clean. 100% recommend and can't wait to go back!
Yelp Event: I love the fact that the coffee and snacks spot is tucked away in the Oxnard Metrolink/ Amtrak Station. Plenty of parking in front of Station. Walk into entrance and shop is on the right in big open space. Plenty of seating and tables. The baristas were friendly and helpful, also very patient with my coffee questions. They gave us a bag with a bottle opener, free coffee drink and a canelle snack. I ordered an iced oat latte. Strong like I like it and delicious! I will definitely return for a caffeine boost and yummy baked foods. Lots of people were ordering sandwiches which looked fresh and delicious. PSA- *Always tip your baristas!*
My second time here. This time I chose an iced lavender latte and a croissant. My coworker got an iced matcha and a canele. She said the matcha is the best she has had in Ventura County. That says a lot as she is a matcha connoisseur. She also said her canele (not pictured) was buttery and delicious.
Heard about this place from my cousins. They raved about it so much one day that it made my husband want to check it out right away when we were in town. Went once, and ever since my husband has to go every time we are in town! We were in the city for 4 nights recently and he went every morning! This place is located inside the Amtrak train station. Definitely a hidden gem! My husband's usual is the cortado, which you have to sit and drink it there. You can't take it to go. I have had their Latte de Olla and the Chagaccino. Everything I have tried have been delish! I also had their macaron which was surprisingly good, does not fall apart after one bite. Their ice cream is good too! My brother and cousins are a fan of their Italian Soda. This place is worth checking out if you like coffee. :) read more

Located in the Oxnard transit station. There's parking in the side and there's tables and chairs if you want to sit and chill and enjoy your coffee and food. I tried to come everytime I'm back in town to get the coffee here. There's coffee options as well as food and pastries option. There's services was good. Very knowledgeable. I ordered the dirty chai out of curiosity and it was good but I didn't really taste the chai portion of it. The chai was sweet and good. Will be back. read more
Dolce vita is a very wholesome cafe/gift shop! We came to Oxnard for the weekend and wanted a nice cup of Joe and a bite, we spotted this place and drove to it. We weren't sure at first where this was but eventually we figured out it is inside the train station The service was great and the drinks were top shelf! Hidden gem at the Oxnard Transit Center. From the outside you wouldn't know a decent cafe was located inside amongst the beautiful murals. Place is always clean. Service is quick, beats any coffee shops on every corner. Food is good, especially house-made Tiramisu. Let's not forget the delicious hand-crafted drinks. People from all over town come just to eat and drink at this cafe. This just shows the quality of this place. If you haven't tried it, you're definitely missing out. Who knows, you could potentially be making some new friends and makes a great networking spot! Just an added bonus! read more

Came in randomly one day only to find the best Cafe de Olla Cappuccino of my life! I am usually very resistant to these types of things as I am originally from Mexico and I hold a high bar for items from my culture. However, one sip into the creamy foamy cinnamony hot drink and I was instantly hooked. I try to post only when it merits but the fact that this is in a cute corner shop inside a train station in the most hidden spot in socal makes this an ever greater find and a rarer gem. Will roasts the beans and makes art pieces that you can see, taste and enjoy. For now, this is my new favorite spot and I am so very glad we finally met... cheers to many more years of cheers and coffee beans!! Salud Cafe de Olla y mas!! It was our first time there and they get busy very quickly since it is a smaller area. Another guest took our drinks and when the worker realized it they were very apologetic and offered me the drink the other guest ordered to try and if I didn't like it they offered to make the one I ordered. Honestly I love coffee so it wasn't a bother to me and it was still a good tasting drink so I just took the one they offered. I had ordered some macaroons also and they threw an extra one and apologized again but told them it was perfectly fine and I appreciated them for making the drinks. There was 3 workers and they all apologized but definitely will make a visit again since the coffee and the macaroons were very good. My boyfriend didn't realize there was a coffee shop at the train station but he liked their coffee also. Service and drinks were great. read more
A local HIDDEN GEM! Little history lesson - Will's, the Owner, mother used to have a small shop in this EXACT location 23 years ago and then he came along 3 years ago and made it into a coffee shop. Will was so humble and pleasant to talk to! Very sweet and professional. This place has been saved for the longest so I'm glad that I finally had the time to stop and try it. When I arrived, there was a power outage but he still made an effort with what he had so I appreciated that! Until today - I had NO IDEA it was in the Train Station. I drove around a few times thinking it was a mistake that it kept leading me here. There isn't anything here that screams "THERE IS A COFFEE SHOP IN HERE!". I didn't see the small sign until I was leaving. I do believe this is a nice location for those that frequent the Amtrak / Greyhound often. I ordered the Coconut Cold Brew Oat Milk Latte, with a macaroon, and dulce de Leche croissant. Coffee was STRONG but tasty and the food was soft and yummy. The only con for me was the location, given where/want it is - there is A LOT of homeless people and as I was walking around, the smell was a little off putting. SURPRISINGLY THOUGH - the OTC and the coffee shops area is REALLY CLEAN and well kept! All in all - If you haven't been here before, stop by - it was really cute given the location. Great quiet spot for remote work! I love the light music playing in the background. Sure the trains rumble in and out but that comes with the territory. i popped in to try this place after it had been on my list for a while and happy to say i'm impressed! the staff and owners were super helpful and sweet. they suggested to come back and try their espresso shot in a few days as it needed a few more days after the roast date, which i loved to hear as it shows they favor serving a quality cup. we chatted about beans and matcha (the pistachio milk and light honey combo was AMAZING btw), and ultimately loved to see the regulars mingle with staff and also make great suggestions to first timers like myself. overall location of the place is cool, place has plenty of seating, merchandise and food for sale is always a plus. the only thing i hope to see is menu that's a bit more clear or condensed as it was a bit overwhelming. looking forward to coming back!! read more

I will drive across town, park and walk just for a sip of their tiramisu latte. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but there really isn't another place that compares to this place. It is truely a hidden gem. As a local, there really isn't a reason for me to go to the train station, but I'm there multiple times a week getting my coffee fix. My go to is an iced tiramisu latte with oat milk, but I recently tried their pistachio milk & OMG ! I didn't know it could get better, but it sure did. I love how it's not overly sweet, it allows you to enjoy the coffee flavor. If you're not a coffee person, they have the best chai tea. You can taste the quality in each sip. The prices are average to any coffee shop, but you don't get this quality just anywhere. They're always so kind whether it's the owner or the workers, they go out of their way to make you feel seen and welcomed. The vibes are always there. It's such a cute place to sit with your coffee and watch the trains come and go or people watch. It would be a perfect spot to set up your computer and work there for a few hours. Whether you're a local or a tourist, it's a must try place. You won't regret it. read more

Order a iced caramel late and a hot vanilla late... the vanilla should have been a hazelnut late but the cashier made the wrong drink. A great coffee outlet in an unexpected site. There's plenty of free parking and plenty of seating indoors and out. This is a great coffee outlet featuring their own coffee beans and their own roasts. They feature all organic coffee. Single source from a varety of locations around the world: Ethiopia, Costa Rica, etc. I had a really good latte and they have Oatley oat milk (the best Oat Milk on the market). Dolce Vita is such a cute cafe & coffee spot that is located inside the building of the Oxnard Transportation Center (OTC). You wouldn't know it's there unless you've taken a train or bus here. You also would have seen Dolce Vita on their Instagram, or on Trendi Eats & from fellow Yelpers. William or Will is such a sweetheart. He's super nice & humble. So welcoming & dedicated in his passion for his coffee shop. They have both cold & hot beverages here. This is one of the first coffee places where I actually got to see up close, how they do the cute coffee pour overs. I enjoy watching the simple pour overs that Will does, it's cute... I frequent the Matcha Green Tea Latte & the Lavender Latte. I Love it a Latte!! Lol... Food such as sandwiches & Desserts like Gelato & Macaroons can be found here as well... On the weekends I've been lucky to try the collab Will does with tarts. There's also some merchandise you can purchase as well as a mini store Will has. Come check it out!! He even carries some unique pins... Been coming here since the beginning of 2020 & I'm so glad to find this hidden gem in the city I grew up in... A cute cafe tucked away in the downtown transit center. I love the calm atmosphere that is so different in character from the rest of the terminal. Although they don't have a separate enclosed stall, I'm impressed how distinct a space they've been able to craft for themselves. Their cortado was great with silky milk foam and a pleasant espresso base. I really want to try their pastries, especially their caneles which look so good! A great place to stop by for coffee, and I'll definitely be back soon! read more

Very professional, he let me look over the menu with out rushing me. When I had questions about the pastry's they had, he was well informed. I get two macarons, one Blueberry Lavender, and the other was Rose, they smell and taste exactly as they are named. I have tried these flavors at other places but it's nothing like this, it's a must try! I also ordered a double espresso shot, now this is my go to drink, when in doubt espresso shots lol, the notes in the coffee were phenomenal, not too bitter or sour, it is definitely one of thee best I have had. This spot is located within Amtrak train station. Good spot if you're taking the train or want some good coffee and gelato. The latte was strong and not too milky where it waters down the espresso. I got to say the gelato took the show. The chocolate flavor was immense! The flavor of dark chocolate hitting your taste palates was heavenly. It had a great hit of bitterness combined with the sweetness from sugars. Excellent! The lone worker was friendly and answered all of my questions I had about where the amazing gelato was from. read more
Kicking off a comeback to Yelp with this review. Pleasantly surprised by this cute coffee/pastry/gelato shop in Oxnard Station. They use Intelligentsia coffee and my iced americano was buttery smooth. The turkey sandwich used excellent soft savory brioche buns and the turkey was succulent and tender. Great pick me up for the train ride! Loved how friendly the staff were and how they offered great suggestions and details about their food. Apparently they've been around for 5 years, the coffee is their specialty that put them on the map, and the brioche buns used on their sandwiches are specially made and brought in from Santa Monica. I'd recommend a quick stop for everyone taking a train to/from Oxnard! read more
