Let me be clear this is not just about preference serving pork when a customer is told it's chicken can have major religious and dietary consequences. Many people avoid pork for religious reasons, and dismissing that concern is unacceptable. Accuracy and transparency with ingredients are basic expectations, especially when it comes to meat. We got a few baked good we got silvana was good. The biko was gods cooked well the sweetness was balanced. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The vibe was chill. But that doesn't outweigh the impact of being misled about what I was eating. Trust is broken, and I won't be returning. Gwenies need to train their staff and they need to clearly label meats and take customer concerns seriously especially when religion and dietary restrictions are involved. I have been a fan of Gwenies for years and would even travel to their original location in Rockville MD. Please make sure you check your bowls get to her correct meat you order!
