I have only tried a few things, but my niece and nephew loved the peanut butter praline chocolate bunnies and not just because those wittle wabbits are so darn cute :) They were quality chocolate with the right balance of filling and they were both very reluctant to share a bite with me! I bought the Egg Trio for myself... the sweet and salty peanut butter, pretzel and marshmallow combo is a must try for everyone and brought me back to my s'more days, which are only truly great if you smear some peanut butter on the graham cracker... homerun flavor combo if you ask me! Honestly, all three were delicious, it is going to take some restraint not to buy everything on the site with my next order! read more

Zoe's chocolate is a staple of Frederick, MD. We were staying at the Visitation and I noticed that the chocolates yes there - and they were quite lovely. Upon asking I was told that it was supplied by a local chocolatier right in town! Off I went in search of confectionary - and was rewarded with a feast for both eyes and palette! "Small shop-Big flavor" comes to mind - and this place brings it big. They offer both chocolate bars as well as bon-bons by the counter. They also sell tinned hot chocolate (so you can make it on your own), and pretty gift sets! I also learned that it is a 3 generation family owned shop - which makes it all the more special! read more

You are greeted with a pleasant chocolate smell when you walk in the door. The person working there greeted us right away. She was so very helpful and pleasant. We were able to sample the truffles which were absolutely AMAZING! You have to stop here when walking around downtown Frederidk, MD! read more

Amazing! One of my favorite places. I went a little crazy here during my last visit. I was here to get 3 boxes of 9 pieces for gifts but I ended up with a lot more. I had to get a box of 9 for myself and another box of 25 for a party that I was going to. Absolutely love this place. read more

Pricey but so so good! The gingerbread chocolate was an edible orgasm. I could happily spend someone's savings account on just them alone. Yes they are pricey at around two bucks per chocolate, but this isn't some Hershey's. Each chocolate is a taste sensation and work of art. How they make each chocolate look so beautiful is beyond me. But they do, with each chocolate. Probably the only good thing to come out if Waynesboro apart from my good wife. read more

I found this place on Yelp and bought two mixed chocolate boxes for my wife and mom for Mother's Day. I usually buy Godiva or Lindt but wanted to support local smaller businesses. We thoroughly enjoyed the chocolates! There are so many choices and unique different flavor bombs to have! The only one thing I would suggest: it's hard to match the chocolates to the menu of selections that came along with the boxes. When businesses start to reopen, this is a place that I have bookmarked to come and visit. For anyone that want to support local small business, check this place out. I'm sure glad I did! read more

Very good chocolates in unique flavors and nice service. Will be buying chocolates here again, they make great gift boxes as well

I ordered chocolate Feb 2nd it's now the 21st almost 20 days later still not received. THeir commentS was somehow I did it the Zoe co. Rep stated in a review response I CHOSE SOMEHOW a special service with fedex not sure what that means.....I don't recommend them as far as speedy shipping if you want to wait almost 20 days maybe a month for your goods this is the right chocolate place for you. If you read this l want to cancel my order. I think I get chocolate at a local store easier. I would of expected a company apology and assurance my package is on its way. I like Marcus AND THE SHOW THE PROFIT but this is ridiculous. I would also not e I ordered Feb 2 which was a Tuesday it took four days to get package to fed ex to ship so I don't think me in California delayed the package ( as in insinuated by company rep.) I think it's Better to apologize then challange a customer with BS statements. It's in Illinois now , the owner responded I chose specialnservices???? Meaning lowest fed delivery choice and then she counted the days and posted it's wasn't bad, I was in California. In 1980's that worked today we would have a package 5 days or less.. OK let's count the days it's Feb 2 and it's now Feb 22 it's been 19 days and it's still no where near California. Blame distance, blame customer but... you service on orders sucks. Period. read more

I recently got some of Zoe's Chocolates. In fact, I got $40 worth of them. They were featured on the TV show 'The Profit". The flavor of these chocolates are very good. The reason I gave them only 3 stars is because they are very small. I have never encountered any chocolates this small before. They do pack a lot of favor in a bite, but these are less than a bite in size. So though the flavors are good and unique, I am unable to get past the sheer smallness of these and that they are way overpriced. read more

They have such high quality chocolates and so many unique flavors. I've been impressed every time I've bought chocolates here. They do a wonderful job packaging them for gifts as well. This is my new go-to place for chocolates. read more

I was excited to try Zoe's and love a good gourmet chocolate place. The employee I talked to was very kind and helpful. I ordered 4 pieces which ended up costing $8. We ordered: Raspberry: This was not tart enough IMO. It was decent, but not worth the price Coffee: Delicious! This was my fav. Creamy, bitter, but not tooo bitter, sweet but not too sweet. I really enjoyed this. Salted Caramel: A let down. I got the milk chocolate, and the caramel was not thick/chewy enough to register as caramel Honey: My second fav! It had a bit of zip to it (maybe some cinnamon) Given that I really liked two and was not impressed with the other 2, I would still come back to try different flavors. I'd encourage the business to go more bold with what they have! read more

Not your average chocolates! Not the basic truffles that are just flavored ganache. Each truffle is crafted and has an inside bursting full of flavor and surprises. The apple pie, tastes like an apple pie. The dionysus baklava, has the texture and flavor of baklava. Our other favorites were the lemon spice crunch and oh, honey. Complex and inventive flavors! Customer service was excellent! Will be back! read more

Pretty disappointing, I drove two hours to go here only to be faced with a handwritten sign that said they were closing 4 hours early. I had checked their website before and there was nothing on there. I don't think I'll come back. If i have to travel to PA I'd like to try the original spot, but I'm not sure I can trust the hours of the Frederick location. read more

This is a very cute shop in a very hip town. They selection is unique and very pretty to look at. However, it is to me overpriced. I came in today to buy a special birthday treat for a good friend but normally, I would just get chocolate like this from a store. The flavors are not that original that I can't get the same satisfaction for less cost. However, the designs of the chocolate are really catching to the eye. read more

By far the best chocolate company in Frederick. From their chocolate bars and truffles to frozen mousse and hot chocolate you cannot go wrong. I dream in Zoes Chocolate. Seriously. My husband and I tried a few pieces of Zoes chocolates from some friends, and we immediately high tailed it down Market Street to buy some of our own. As our eyes took in the lovely sights of row after beautiful row of chocolate truffles, our stomachs began grumbling. We ordered about 8-10 pieces and were pleasantly surprised at the inexpensive price (compared to most truffle places, their prices are a steal). We planned to eat the chocolates over a span of a few nights. You know, nibbling on them here and there. But once we got home and started eating, we seriously could not stop. We ate every single piece in that first sitting. Since then, I've been dreaming about these chocolates and can't wait to return for more. As others mentioned, the service here is friendly and helpful. Not stuffy at all. read more

Unlike my last review; where I may have offended some for saying a specific 4-Star restaurant in Frederick would probably be more 3-3.5 in a Metropolitan powerhouse like NYC or DC...Zoe's Chocolate would hold it's own!! This is great chocolate! Perfectly sweet, but not over done. The fillings of their truffles are pretty tremendous, adding a great juxtaposition of flavors to their chocolate shell. I will surely recommend and return! read more

Two words: salted caramels! YUM. This adorable store in Downtown Frederick is teeny tiny and is packed with the after dinner crowd on the weekends- but for good reason- there's no better dessert than the stuff in here. It's one of my highlights of going to dinner downtown. Their salted caramels are to die for. They have a range of box sizes that make perfect gifts or a little treat for you. You can't go wrong in there. read more

We stumbled upon Zoe's last night on our way home from happy hour. Tucked away between much larger store fronts, Zoe's is easy to miss. Take your time, going northbound on Market street it will be on your left. The chocolate is simply amazing, only to be rivaled by the service. The selection is small, but perfect. Priced under 7 dollars for 9 pieces there is tremendous value there as well. This place is a must stop. Opened by the people who created the chocolate for the Frederick Candy Company, they have now taken their skills one step further. read more

Simply amazing! I especially enjoy their seasonal creations. The combinations of flavors are always perfect. This is both a big event gift as well as a delicious and decadent treat while meandering through downtown Frederick. The staff are great and super helpful, but most importantly, the chocolate is amazing - dark, milk, or white. Our family favorites include OH HONEY, PINOT NOIR, FLEUR DE SEL LIQUID CARAMEL, CHEWY SEA SALT CARAMEL, and SESAME TAHINI CRUNCH, but you really can't go wrong. read more

A total gem in the middle of Frederick. And it doesn't hurt that it looks like an adorable little fairy house. Zoe's has the most amazing chocolate. The pretzel chocolate bar is vegan and is my favorite, but really it is all delicious. The chocolate bars are only $7 each too! I have to actively avoid this place for the sake of my waistline. It doesn't work very well... read more

Zoe's chocolate is truly excellent. Sure, their chocolate is on the pricier side, but we aren't talking mall chocolate shop here. Plus they wrap the boxes up beautifully! read more

Hand. Pulled. Candy. Canes. Honestly, do I need to say anything more? Ok, ok, don't twist my arm, I will. The chocolate is pretty good (I'll grant it doesn't exactly blow my mind), but what I come here for is the experience. And the candy canes. You really feel like you're getting something special here, and the people behind the counter are super friendly and helpful. They always have some seasonal items that are unique and really a lot of fun. Also, who doesn't love walking out with a fancy wrapped box of chocolates? It's so decadent feeling. They could have just sold me chocolate-covered turds, and the wrapping and experience will be so pretty, I'll still feel like a fancy shmancy girl who's the belle of the ball. Also? Hand pulled candy canes. Case closed. read more

My husband ordered me the chocolate pretzels and chocolate truffle box. Both were good and tasty and satisfied my sweet tooth, however I will never be ordering from them again. Customer service is a big deal to me and we should hold companies to standards. In a nutshell, my husband paid for 2 day delivery, @$18. The chocolate made their way a week later and when he called to get his 2 day delivery charge refunded they declined saying it was not guarenteed, it was peak time and they could not be held responsible. Ummmmm... then do not offer it if you cannot guarantee it and do not offer it if you cannot abide by it. read more

Disappointing flavor and not worth the price. If you want to spend this kind of money on chocolate, go to the Perfect Truffle on East Street. Whenever I'm in Frederick, Zoe's is a must-stop for me. Their chocolate is exquisite. It's pricey but completely worth it. I have never been disappointed by anything I've purchased from Zoe's, whether it was one of the gourmet truffles, or a chocolate bar. I look forward every year for when the first Frozoe appears, a decadent frozen chocolate dessert that is like gelato on crack. The staff are amazingly friendly. I was lucky enough to wander in one day when the father of the family was in, and he spent a good half hour plying me with chocolates and telling me all about the shop and his training. Zoe's has been the official chocolatier for the Academy Awards for a few years now, if that tells you anything. Zoe's is hands down the best chocolate I've found. read more

Granted, this place is ten bazillion times better than anything I've had at Candy Kitchen, but nothing that I've had so far has really knocked my socks off. I've tried their Fleur de Sel Hazelnut Bark, their dark and milk chocolate covered coconut and peanuts and a small sample of their salted caramels. Other people were up at the counter going "ooh" and "aah"; nodding their heads in appreciation and acting like big shot chocolate connoisseurs but honestly, I didn't think their chocolate tasted any better than some of the chocolate bars that you can find at Common Market or even Target or the organic section at Giant Eagle. Pretty packaging and an upscale appearance just can't make something taste better than it actually is. read more

Went in today to pick up some last minute Christmas gifts. Usually everyone that works there is extremely friendly, just like everyone in town. However the girl behind the counter was just the opposite. We were not greeted as we walked in the store, neither was the other customer that walked in while we were there. I went to purchase some chocolate and the she was very quite. I asked my wife if we were reward club members, and the girl said nothing about how to join or check if we were members. We left after that. I hope that our next visit is more pleasant!! read more

Took a recent trip to Frederick to test everyone's sea-salt caramels. (You're welcome.) Decided that although Zoe's is still absolutely worth a visit, they're a little pricey and, dare I say, fancy. Their sea-salt caramel had subtle flavors of herbs, and I don't mean to suggest that's bad, but apparently, I like my sea-salt caramels a little less sophisticated. So I'm candy trash. read more
