Nevertheless, overall I loved my choice. The hubs enjoyed his butter pecan but said that his socks weren't knocked off. He felt as if his ice cream texture was a bit off. I loved the relaxing vibe and community spirit. There was also a lovely variety of flavors, including a dairy-free option. They also give away free fast-acting "Lactaid"-type tablets. They also provide sidewalk chalk for customers, which is a nice idea, but people were drawing and gathering directly around the ordering windows. Because there isn't already a designated waiting area or line, that just made it even harder to tell where customers were supposed to stand or walk. What should have been a simple stop for ice cream turned into about a 15-minute wait with people basically standing around trying to figure out what was going on. The ice cream wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good enough to make me overlook the experience. With two grocery stores right nearby where I could have picked up ice cream and been on my way, I left feeling like the wait and confusion simply weren't worth it. We got here 1.5 hours before closing so I hope the lids were only on there because they were preparing to close. The food overall was very good. - Beef Fat Fries: Very very good - The Steak Tartare was also good. I think it needed a bit more flavor - maybe more mustard or capers. - Caesar's Salad was so good, and those sesame churros were fantastic. - Oysters were good. - Ribeye steak was good.
