First of all when you walk in this place is so freaking cute. There's a few places to sit they've got delightful coffees but my most favorite part is you can see them decorating these cookies I came during the masters and got to see some of the finished decorated cookies and they even had cake themed like little golf tees! I also never seen the little flowers that they sell. I'm not sure that the regular thing but 10 out of 10 would recommend for my husband to go pick some of those up for me. Finally, the service is always good here. Every single person is friendly. it doesn't matter if you come alone or with a group. I had a coughing fit in the middle of the store, which other than being wildly embarrassing was a great time for them to highlight their free water right up front. As a local I can't believe I have not visited Dolce until today. I stopped in this morning to pick up a box of goodies for a coworkers birthday. The shop is adorable and the bakery case was mouth watering. Everything I chose was delicious. The scones were especially tasty! And I am picky about scones! The service was great and patient while I looked over all my options. I noticed they had slices of cake in the case which was appealing. Dolce Bakery is such a fun stop and everything we tried was worth it. The pumpkin whoopie pies were soft and full of flavor with just the right amount of spice and cream filling. The brownies were rich and fudgy with that perfect dense texture that makes you want another bite. The Chiefs cookies were not only decorated beautifully but tasted amazing too with a buttery soft center. The staff was friendly and patient while I went back and forth on what to pick. The bakery itself feels warm and welcoming and you can tell everything is made with care. This is a delayed review, but Dolce Bakery hosted a great seasonal 'Luke's Diner' theme last fall that was very fun with a variety of delicious on point items. From the Stars Hallow decor to the themed cookies and specialty drinks. My wife, who is an OG Gilmore Girls fan along her mother and daughter, was giddy to say the least. Aside from the themed items, the bakery's staple items cinnamon rolls, and orange rolls are always tasty treats. My personal favorite is the Oatmeal Cream Pies... these are no pies from a box! Dolce bakery has an open layout with pastries, cookies and cakes to the right with seating on left. Dominic greeted us and provided good customer service even after he fessed to forgetting adding caramel to my latte. He handled multiple customers in between completing my latte on his own until help arrived from the other young lady. My drink was remade by the young lady as she came out of the back and at first it had the good consistency in flavor but as I sipped it disappeared not due to ice. This is my first time at Dolce, but my mother in law often says how good it is! I ordered a Kelce/ Swift cake that I found online for the Super Bowl and it's beautiful and so creative! I think it's safe to say Dolce is a premium bakery. It's top quality, and one I've slowly watched grow from afar for many years. Flash back to 2007, I'm in the little town of Weston in a candle shop. Someone at the counter was offering slivers of cake to try, and I literally took their name and number so I could order it for my future wedding, whenever that might be. Turned out to be Dolce Bakery. Then we found them in Prairie Village in a little spot years ago, which they've since moved on up to a bigger space. It hasn't been a spot I've frequented over the years just due to living a ways away. I'll also note their quality makes it worth it, but it's definitely a bit pricier than some traditional bakeries. We discovered their Chiefs cookies during the 2021 playoff run on IG, and had to take my daughter in to get some. You can pre-order in advance on their website a few days out, or just take your chances in the cafe which we opted to do. Covid precautions are nice with masks, social distance markers, and limited capacity. They were nearly out of the Chiefs cookies when we made it, even though we were pretty early, but we snagged some. They look time-intensive with the intricate frosting and are $3 a pop. The kiddo picked a little cupcake to go with it, and everything in the case looked delicious. Also pleasantly surprised to see them offering coffee and unique lattes here as well. It's lame that Starbucks occupies such a big part of the Village, so go here instead for coffee. Recommend checking this bakery out! read more

For my 30th birthday, Mary (the bakery's manager at the time), delivered my bday cake to my house for free! Everyone else has pretty much said it.. but of course I'll find a few more things to say. The carrot cake is.. near perfect. I wish the icing was about half as sweet, but the actually cake is INSANE good. It's packed with every good thing that exists. GET IT! I want a coat made of it for winter, so I can snack and be warm. It's dense and wonderful. The cookies we tried were also very good. They don't skimp on butter! The chocolate chip cookies are really perfect. The lemon bar was the tangiest most lemony bar I've ever tried. That's a good thing, but be warned, it is L E M O N! This is a very nice and classy place and the prices reflect it's location and nice décor. While it's a bit out of our way, and the prices are a bit steeper than some, I would absolutely come back.
